Hi,
I've been deciding for the longest time on whether or not to get my tongue pierced. It's not gonna be in the near future, but I'm thinking in a year or two. Can anyone give me any pros or cons to getting it done? Thanks!
The cons however? There's a ton. It can leave a scar, give you an infection, force itself out, chip your teeth. In some cases, if the piercer isn't careful, he/she can hit a nerve which will cause you to either lose all feeling within your tongue, OR to have you lose all your tastebuds.
The tongue piercing is one of the worst ones to get because there's so much that can go wrong with it. Your better off getting your lip, or your naval or something. [ christina's advice column | Ask christina A Question ]

The cons are: The risk of infection, scarring, the tongue ring chipping your teeth, among other things. Personally, I've had seven piercings total before, so you need to decide whether it's worth the risk. [ Trauma's advice column | Ask Trauma A Question ]

It might give off a bad impression to people but it's your personal choice. I suggest you try those fake magnetic tongue rings on yourself first to see if you like the way it looks on you. Pro: It looks cool. [ hotpotato's advice column | Ask hotpotato A Question ]
