Like the person below me said, the Saturn is more like an SUV, and while it may be good if you need more room, a lot of people don't recommend first time drivers getting an SUV. If you're just saying that you need something that would get you from home to school and school to home then clearly either car would do you good. A Saturn View is more of an SUV type car, which probably would be the only reason why I would say getting it would be a bad idea. It also really depends on what year the cars are, Chevy's are pretty nice, and the Cobalt is a nice first car.
If you plan on sharing the car with your mom or you like camping or something, then the View would be more of your type of car.
