Here is a list of creatures. I was wondering if I could use these? Have people copywrited these creatures? Are these fictional creatures known or made up by the creator? (link)

I gave the list a quick look-over, and I didn't see any non-mythological creatures (and I have some experience in this area).
So yes, you can use them, and no, they're not copyrighted. I specifically checked for some popular creatures that I know ARE copyrighted (such as Cthulhu), and they weren't included on the site, so it looks pretty clean.
Since these creatures are all mythological, their creators are unknown - the myths on which they're based go back thousands of years.
