Hi, I'm Emily. Call me Emily or Em, I prefer either. I have been a featured columnist 2 times now. After disabling my account I had about 3 years ago, a lot has happened which made me want to come back. I feel as though helping people with their problems, helps me solve mine, even if that doesn't make a lot of sense to any of you. unfortunety, you cant save videos from facebook or a computer for that matter.

Not a big buff...didn't read the book, probably not going to...just curious. Why is it that Edward can't read Bella...he says that he can like read everyone but her...is this the main reason why he likes her and if so why? Thanks.

Hi, so recently my desktop computer got a ton of viruses in it.
Our Norton Security ended a few months again and my dad was too lazy to put any new protection up, so now my personal desktop is infected.
He aid he's going to do something about it tomorrow.
But currently is wont let m on any websites.
One of the viruses is the trogen virus?

Anyway, since it'smy PERSONAL desktop, I'm stuck with my personal laptop. But, I have tons of pictures saved on my desktop.
And we don't have the money or time to go out and by anything to save my stuff on.

Will my pictures and music be safe? Will I lose it all if we get the computer fixed?

unfortunetly, all the music and pictures will get deleted, unless you save them to CD-Roms or multiple flash drives, unless you have a flash big enough to hold all the files, which if i recall is still possible with viruses on the computer. this happened to me, and i was fortunete to get a lot of my things saved and onto my computer after it was fixed.

I don't have time for a shower in the morning, so I take one before bed. And sometimes I'll wake up and my hair is frizzy. Is there a quick way to bring down the frizz????

as the person down there said, Frizz Ease. my grandma started using it, and she showed it to me, and i absolutely love it! when i dont feel like straightening my hair, i use it so my curls look really good and defined, and best part...no frizz!

i would also try (if you have a straightener, and want to have your hair straight) shower a little earlier, depending on how much time it would take to straighten your hair, and straighten your hair at night. if you get straightening serem, and put it on right before you straighten your hair, it helps loose the frizz for when you do straighten it.

From being in the band, I've gotten a lot of irratation, blisters, and cuts on my lips. Now they are large and kind of misshaped. Is there any way I could bring down the swelling so I look normal again??

Carmex. its the best blister/coldsore healer around. it comes in chapstick and tube form. (i suggest the tube- it doesnt hurt as much when you put it on) it comes in cherry and regular. it works very well and clears the blisters in about a week.

Can anyone help me find a police buddy icon for AIM? Not a policeman, but anything from the band "The Police?"

im trying to get a babysitting job and dont know what to but on the flyer......HELP

this brings back old memories for me.

well, first, you want to make sure its really neat and legible. people aren't going to read your flyer if its not legible.

if you have software like Microsoft Publisher, they have cool designs that you can use to put your nae and phone number on them and people can tear it off and take it with them.

but, for wht you should include:
-name
-age
-number to contact- i suggest using an old cellphone with a different number, and make it your babysitting line phone, so that you dont get your personal phone calls mixed up with the babysitting ones.
-your rate, the going rate is $10 an hour. if you put that on the flyer and no one seems to be reaching you, try lowering the price.
-your hours
-days you work, try not to limit yourself, you may find yourself with no jobs because you have such limited days open.

I wanted to start a softball team. So I started asking a few friends and an Acquaintance (call him Mr. A). Mr. A asked a few of his friends (who are not friends of mine) to join the team. Mr. A now has enough people to field the whole team. In the meantime, I've changed my mind about playing softball. Mr. A keeps bugging me about starting the team. Should I tell him that I just changed my mind? BTW -- Mr. A's wife is very friendly with my wife.

i think you should keep what you originally planned. its short notice, and he's took the time and effort to gather up a team for you. you may end up liking it, and youll be happy you went through with it.

i have got the computer game sims 3 and when i go to play on it, it works ok but it is really really slow. how can i fix this ?

this happened to my sims 2 game. usually when you play it for at least 10 minutes, the computer adjusts itself to the big files in the game, and it will get faster.

gahhhh i'm about to rip this guys head off because he's soooo confusing!!!!!!

so me and this guy had a thing for a while (a few months) while i was dating my boyfriend. ( i know i know.. that was a mistake and its wrong, dont need the lecture) and all of a sudden he stops talking to me... everytime i try to text, he wont answer. he wont pick up my calls. sometimes he even picks up and then hangs up right away. i tried inboxing him on facebook but he wont respond. i checked his wall and he's on sometimes and he talks to his friends. one time i even saw him post this on a girls wall "hey we haven't talked for a while, you should text me sometime" WTH!!! then today i just checked his page and it wont come up on search pages... meaning he deleted his facebook account. i searched his other friends and checked to see if they were still friends with him, and they aren't.

I have NO clue what's going on... its so sudden. I have a slight idea that maybe he's busy with college classes and work and family.. but why would that be an excuse as to treating me this way??

what do i do?? i still really really really REALLY like him... like i can't stop thinking about him and checking my phone to see if he responded. gahhhh he's soooo confusing!!! HELPPPP. thanks

we all hate to admit it, but he's dumped you. in a very rude way, which no "man" in college should be doing, hes being very immature. immature to the point where he deletes his facebook so you cant be in contact with him, not very manly if you ask me. it'll be hard getting over the fact that he wont talk to you anymore, i know the feeling. but, you eventually realize he wasnt worth it. there are plenty of other fish in the sea. did you think he might of dumped you because he found out that you had a thing with him while you were in a relationship with someone else? maybe he realized what you were doing was wrong, and he was adding to the problem? its not worth getting him back if he wont talk to you, or even has the courtesy to tell you its over. you'll find a real man, who will treat you right. just be patient.

I have pretty bad acne scarring on my face and back, I have heard the only way to be 100% rid of them as if they were never there is by laser treatment. I know its expensive but I am willing to pay if I know it will work. Have any of you done it or know someone whos done it? Did it work? Does it really renew your skin so that its 100% clear and flawles, and if not what does it do and look like?

i know a few people who have gotten it done. it works most of the time. it really depends on your complexion and skin type. i think you'll be fine, but, before spending that much money, have you thought of using skin products or something? hope everything works out.

i have the same problem as you, ive had mine for 4 years now, and still have yet to use a tampon. but, start off with a smaller one, your vagina needs to get used to things being "down there" if you start off using a big one, it'll hurt a lot. start off small and work your way up.

Im trying out for my highschool cheerleading squad, and i need to know the requirements? Does anyone know? Do you need to be in a certain weight class? And, also, is tossing to hand hard to learn. My tryouts are in about 2 and a half months and i need to have toss to hands, ive never done it, but i need to learn. two more things, how can i get my weight down fast, im skinny, but i weigh about 145. first off, good luck! cheerleading is really fun, and i know you'll enjoy it.

first off, no, you dont need to be in a certain weight class, but if you do want to loose weight, you can always diet. but, being 5'7, you would definately be a base. tossing isnt hard to learn, but make sure to wear some sort of wrist protection, because from basing, i needed surgery on my wrist because of it. have fun, and good luck!

its good to ask these types of questions.

in a way, it would be peaceful. no one would judge others about what they did, or the way they felt or believed. it would make people feel a lot better about themselves. for the people who do care about what people do, it would be like they lost something they really need. a necessity. they'd be lost and would look for something else to bug people about. it could go both ways.

ok I have recently been having really shap pains in my abdomen. I mena it really have been hurting me. What could this mean I mean I am 14 and I don't know what to think. I have missed my period and I was suppose to get it on the 3rd here we are on the 19th what could this mean. please help.

to answer your other question:
seeing that you got your period at a very early age, and it shouldnt be irregular, you should talk to your mom about it, and talk about seeing a doctor, it may just be irregular for this month, the chances are slim that theres something wrong down there. need anything else, feel free to ask!
