i have played piano for over 6 years now and wanted to start learning the guitar. i didnt really want to have lessons but i was hoping there might be some sites on the net with some free beginners music.
i have done a google search and found a couple but i was hoping someone might be able to tell me like a really good one or something...thanks!

If you are able to read tablature, in which most guitar music can be easily written and read (which is why most is written this way) you can find it at taborama.com

If you are looking for actual note reading stuff.. you're going to have a hard time finding it online - but your local music store should have some books. (obviously not free though)

I've seen some Breast Enhancement Exercises on the internet. Do you think the exercises actually work? Have any of you girls tried them? Have any of you that have had luck with them?

I'm too scared to try the pills or creams. If I don't get any bigger then I'll get implants. Do you think saline implants are safe?

Pills and creams DO NOT WORK. Exercises will only work to the extent of shaping your pectoral muscles and in turn making your chest look slightly larger but this takes LOTS of time.

If you're still a teenager, implants should not yet be an option. Maybe you're just a late bloomer, its entirely possible.

OK im 13/f i got my period for the 1st time on sunday and i do not have a mother or any brothers or sisters to talk to ..... just my dad.... i dont wanna tlk to him about this .. i have some supplies that i got from the talk but they are runnimg out very quickly... how can i bring this subject up with my dad without making him freak out...... thanks a million ill rate u a 5 no matter what!!!!

Its totally normal, and it was bound to happen sometime. Both you and your dad know that. Actually, dads aren't as clueless as you might think about periods. They've delt with girls all through high school and also at one point had a girlfriend or wife that I'm SURE its come up. No big deal, every girl gets it. Just go up to him and say "Hey dad, I didn't tell you but I started my period on Sunday and I need some supplies, can we go get some? I'm running out." No big deal. Good luck.

but my friend is a chrisitan. He wants me to go to church with him every week, and im not all that enthusiastic. I feel guilty for even thinking about saying no because i get all self concious when i think of him thinking of me as a sinner. Anyways we were having a very good time at a footbal game and then we were talking about stuff and somehow the topic just came up about dying. He was like, no offense but if you died right now i think you'd go to hell. He was being really serious. Well, it depressed the hell out of me. Im a nice person, i dont try to judge people, i like to share, my morals are higher then anyone elses and then i get depressed because i cant live up to them. I was really hurt but i didnt let on. He wouldnt elaborate, he said we could talk about it on the phone sometime. Well, do you think it was right of him to say that? Or am i just being dumb? I cant help but feel like im some kind of 'project' hes trying to save...

The term "agnostic" means unsure of there being a God or unsure of a religion whether it be christianity, judaism, or other. Maybe your friend doesn't understand this. I am agnostic as well, and would rather religion not be brought up because I am trying to figure out whether I belive it or not, and nothing anybody says is going to belive one way or another, because I see points to both. Kindly let your friend know that agnostic doesn't mean the same as athiest (absolutely definitively does not belive in a God) and that you are not currently wanting to think about what will happen after you die or having to go to church. While many christians want to convert people because they belive that they can save both themselves and another way, you deserve to figure out your own religious standpoint without the "help" of your friend unless you ask for it. Your friend should understand, but this is a conversation you need to have with him. Good luck.

What's the difference between rock musics? Like I've heard of punk, ska, emo, rock, hard rock, screamo, death metal, etc. etc. What's the difference? And any others you want to add in feel free!

Punk - Upbeat simple music, somethign you could have a pool party to. :P Examples would be The Clash, (old) Green Day, and the Misfits.

Ska - This is just an odd genre, that started back in the 80's. We are now in what some might call the "third wave" of ska, (ska is kind of like...street rock) and bands like old No Doubt, The Bosstones and Really Big Fish are in this genre.

Emo - Rock with very emotional lyrics. Bands like Taking Back Sunday and Dashboard Confessional are in this genre.

Rock - Music that usually consists of guitars, a bass, drums and a singer - but not always. Very very wide genre, bands mentioned in every other genre in this answer would also be "rock". Basically not rap, not country..

Hard Rock - Rock with more of an edge, heavier guitar riffs and sometimes a growling singer. Bands like Papa Roach might be put in this catagory.

Screamo - like Emo - very emotional lyrics but usually the singer screams. Bands like UnderOATH and (some) Senses Fail might be put in this catagory.

Death Metal - very heavy metal with thrash metal influences. Bands that would be considered death metal are bands like Cannibal Corpse and Slayer.

While I am not a psychiatrist and cannot give you a sure-fire answer, there is a chance it could be Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. I have had people I know diagnosed with OCD because the over think and analyze things. While many I have seen diagnosed like this have had other illnesses, there is still a possibility. I suggest you schedule an appointment with a psychiatrist or go to your regular heathcare doctor to see if it is anything serious. Good luck.

Most venues do NOT allow any recording devices, - whether it be a still camera, camcorder, or audio device. I know the one I went to last week no recording devices were permitted in. But, there is no problem with picture phones, so if you're desperate it'll do.

I got my belly button done and my body rejected it now its really hard is it supposed to be really hard? whats going to happen to it?

The "hard" part you're feeling is scar tissue. It will probably remain there for a length of time. You also will probably have a scar on the skin where it was peirced, maybe for just a while, maybe forever. It all depends, but its no big deal. Depending on the amount of scar tissue you develop and when it goes away, you may be able to re-peirce your belly. If you're interested in re-peircing, go to your nearest (but trustworthy) peircer for a counsultation. Good luck!

So some new neighbors just moved in a couple months ago. I am almost positive that he beats his wife. They have two young daughters. I have no actual evidence.

If you are almost positive that he beats his wife, you must have some sort of evidence as in maybe you've seen bruises on the woman or other injuries, you've heard it going on, or something else. I would call your local police and tell them the address of the people and why you think that there may be some foul-play going on. Everything remains anonymous, its not like grammar school where they go "Well so and so told me this and thaaaaaaat!". Good luck, its very kind of you to be worried about your neighbors.

I personally like Matrix Biolage for colored hair. You can only get it at professional salons, but its worth it, it smells good and makes your hair look good.

I'm relatively new here and I quite enjoy visiting this web site, but I can't get over the fact that at least half of these people could not form a coherent sentence with decent spelling to save their lives!

What can be done to help everyone realize that proper grammar and spelling is the key to communication, which, in turn, is the key to not stumbling around blindly in life? I really do fear for our generation sometimes.

We've had many complaints about this, moderators seem to have been racking their brains to come up with a solution for this, and nothing is going to sure-fire fix this. The idea of adding a spell checker has been kicked around.. but it wouldn't surprise me if many people don't care to use it - or if the spell checker would even be able to decipher some of the chatspeak to offer better words. So in short terms, yes, its a problem, but at the moment can it be fixed? Not without individual effort that most people aren't willing to give.

Yeah..we've got this chick at school that thinks she's so "elitist" because she dresses different that she makes dirty looks and such..but yeah.. here's my theory

A lot of the people that dress "goth" or whatever, whether conciously or sub-conciously, dress that way to push everybody away exept for people that are exactly like them. Maybe they just don't like it that there are people out there that will look past the way people dress and that you don't make a big deal and draw attention to the fact that they are "goth". You could sit your friend down, and say that she needs to talk to her friends about this, so they stop or you won't hang out with your friend unless they aren't there, or you could take the more direct approach and talk to the people yourself. Just tell them pretty much what I told you - that there ARE people that will look past silly things like clothing, like you, and they will need to get over that. Good luck!

Alittle over a month ago, I lost a friend to suicide.
It was terrible when I first found out, because I mean, I was talking to him the day before he did that.
He told me everything, and I tried to do everything to help. Could I have done more?

It is absolutely not your fault. If somebody already has a plan for it..time and everything they're already too far gone and very few things can stop them. Its also a big burden to carry, and if your friend tells you whats going on, you don't think they're serious sometimes because you never want to belive that something is seriously wrong with your friend. Things like this happen, and I always hear "If I would've done this then they would still be here" but if somebody passed away, no matter how, its how it was meant to be. 20/20 hindsight makes us all feel guilty.

Well, there are a couple options. One would be like the others said, wait until they can no longer have any control on you. Or the other, which would be more honest to yourself.

For the second option, schedule a time to sit and have a talk with your parents BOTH at the same time. Just tell them, maybe two or three days beforehand that you'd like to talk - say 7:00 on Thursday night or something. They will realize that its probably something important if you are taking out the time to set up a for sure date. Then, start of by saying "What I am about to tell you, is something that I am very reluctant to. It is nothing I can help or change, you're going to have to accept it. Please do not argue with me, or yell at me, because this is stressful enough already. I think I am gay." and continue from there. Plainly state that you would not like this argued, and it is NOTHING you can change and there isn't anything they can do about it if they aren't okay with that. Just don't say it in a cocky whiney sort of tone. If either or both of your parents begin to say anything degrading towards you or anything like "Well maybe we can get you some counsling so you can be normal." get out of the house. I am not suggesting you run away, I am suggesting that you get up, tell them you stated you didn't want an argument of any kind, and walk out the door. Stay on the front or back porch, or in the yard, and if they still attempt to argue, take about a 15 minute walk so they can sit and think for a few minutes, then come back and ask if they are ready to accept this, and talk about it in a calm matter that makes you feel comfortable that they are comfortable with what you just told them. Because it is a site meant for people 13 and over, and people should be able to handle that. Its just words, after all, but they express a lot more emotion than others can..even if it sounds quite horrible.

OK im the one who wrote about the MCR concert.

All I want for my birthday is to be able to go to my birthday. its seriously ALL i want. My mom says I'm forbidden to go even though I'm paying for the tickets. She said theres no way I'm going to a rock concert even though thats the only kind of music I like. So my moms like "all she wants is to go to the concert I forbid to let her go to" and my dads like 'I know what you need to go to is boot camp" and I didn't even say anything. I really want to go to this concert and thats seriously the ONLY thing I want to do and what I want for my birthday. What can I do for my parents to let me go? I'll be 14.

It sounds like your parents aren't going to budge on this issue, and you doing nothing but whining about it isn't going to help. While I don't think they're going to change their minds, the ONLY way they might, is if you use logic as to why its okay for you to go. If your dad is saying that you should go to boot camp (whether jokingly or not) I'm sure he's not just saying it because you simply asked to go to the concert. I wish you luck in trying to convince them to let you go, but REMEMBER - parents will NEVER submit to whining..because its reinforcing bad behavior so use your head and PROVE to them that you are responsible and mature enough to go.

i have 4 brothers (1,4,7,13) and 13 yaer old is my twin and we have a really close relationship... but i have no privacy watsoever
:( when i started my period of coarse they all found out and my twin accaully was really nice to me and we accaully talked about it:) one day i got really mad at him and he went to school and told all his guy friends that i started( i kno... its gay he told every1) so my whole grade (8th) found out about it and i was the first 1 to start in my grade of my friends ( i kno its weird) and they were all like'oh my god' but all guys were being mean and makin fun of me( i have no clue why)can i get some advice how to deal with this and what to say to those guys???

Tell them its completely natural, and they're being immature if they're making a big deal about it. Because its the truth right there. If you're in 8th grade thats about normal time for the majority of girls to start menstrating so I wouldn't be surprised if you're NOT the only one in your grade to have started. Tell them facts, but don't be obnoxious right back, thats only sinking down to their level. Good luck.

kay.so.I want my chemical romance tickets and I'm planning on buying them soon. How fast do you think they run out? And, i dont know who could take me to the concert because my dad thinks I'm too young to go with my 2 friends. I'm 14. so are my 2 friends. I'm just sort of stuck in a rut. This sounds more like a whiny vent than a question anybody here will really be able to help you with. That being said, I will try.

Here in St. Louis, tickets ran out for the My Chemical Romance concert in about 3 weeks. But, it depends on what venue the concert will be at, because if its at something like an arena, tickets will take longer to sell out as there is more room, as opposed to a relatively small club like The Pageant here in St. Louis. Try to show your dad that you really are responsible. I am more standing on his side than yours with the age thing though, concerts isn't like going to the movies or anything, it can get rough. Maybe you can offer to pay for your dad's ticket and he could chaperone. Good luck.
