GDROB answered Friday September 30 2005, 11:18 pm: Hi,
A disposable camera will not do what you want it to. You will have photos that never turned out or are too dark. Theatrical lighting does not work with regular cameras taking photos at all. It creates light right into the camera, dark photos, blur or just plain black.
The way to get GREAT concert photos is to go to a camera shop. Tell them what you want to do ie photograph a concert etc. They will take a look at whatever camera you bought and tell you something really important write it down when you hear it ISO#
The ISO is the speed and normally when outside you need an #800 ISO 36 MM and it will do stop motion photography. I know you have no idea what bounce flash is or how to use a manual F-Stop settings camera but that does concert photos with 800 ISO but it's a pain in the ass. For each lighting technique you need to know what F-Stop to use and you have to be able to rest the camera in a way you reflect light off your white card back into the camera to get the stage lighting and photo to look right. Pain in the ass use the regular 35 MM with camera store instructions and should be fine.
There's no bloody way the disposable camera will work for concert photography though. It will work for pictures of friends before concert but not what you wanted. Also, you have to be careful here a lot of venues will not allow any kind of camera as a policy as it distracts performers and rights to all visuals from the show belong to them. Good luck! I know the one I went to last week no recording devices were permitted in. But, there is no problem with picture phones, so if you're desperate it'll do.
