well you dad has to relize girls who grow up have to have a period weather they want it or not. After dinner tell your dad you need to talk to him about somthing serious and that you would prefer it if he would try not to freak out. Then talk to him about it he'll understand and trust me he knew this was coming eventually and he'd rather take you to the store than to find out when he sees your dirty laundry.

Just tell him. He shouldn`t freak out. If you feel uncomfortable telling him, buy your own tampons/pads.

Don't ask for money and go behind his back. That way when he finds out(b/c he eventually will) he will be hurt you didn't come to him and tell him.
There is no really great way to bring this subject up. Just tell him- it may come to him as a surprise but afterward at least you will have it out of the way.
Good Luck! Ta- ems! =)

I don't know why this is such a big deal for people..but anyways..

Its totally normal, and it was bound to happen sometime. Both you and your dad know that. Actually, dads aren't as clueless as you might think about periods. They've delt with girls all through high school and also at one point had a girlfriend or wife that I'm SURE its come up. No big deal, every girl gets it. Just go up to him and say "Hey dad, I didn't tell you but I started my period on Sunday and I need some supplies, can we go get some? I'm running out." No big deal. Good luck.

your dad will not freak out.
he will soo understand this. he had a wife-- There is nothing for him to be freaked out about you just tell him that you started your period and that you need pads or tampons or w/e you need if you get tampons read the instructions i would perfer you 2 use pads since your only 13 and its like your 1st time..it would be safer. then when ur older like 14/15 w/e age you can decide ifyou want 2 use them.
i hope i helped hun. if you need anything else im here!
