Best Friends Forever..that's what they said-
Okay, so i started goin to the school i'm at now in 6th grade,and im in 8th grade now. Ever since 6th grade i've had these 2 really great best frineds....up until now. We just recently got out of a 2 week fight that was so dumb long story short, they were ignoring me because i hangout with this new girl that they dont like and they believed rumors that i was talking about them behind theyre back because i wrote them notes saying why are you guys ignoring me and stuff so they said they "needed time to heal" when they heard the rumors.(its okay to laugh, i did too and everyone else i tell lol)So i made them this poem that meant alot to me,and they said no the first time, and then 2 other times i said can we please just be friends again and they were still like no its wont be the same.And here im the one begging to be friends again because im being treated like dirt for something i didnt do. So then they were like can we be friends again a little bit later on and surprsingly i sed yea and now theres more trouble.They were right, its not the same.They dont save me seats,they dont wait 4 me in the halls, and they replaced me with some other girl that they said they would never trust in the past. Please dont say something that will try to get us back togther because theyve hurt my feelings too many times and im starting to not even like them anymore..theyve really changed and theres no one else in the class that i consider a good friend which is what i need most right now..

I understand that friends have fights then get back together but surely, they're not being a good friend to you are they? Why not write them one last letter and ask them politely that you're sorry for whatever happened in the past, that you miss their friendship (how it used to be) and that you just want to start fresh. If they accept and things go back to normal, bingo. If not, they're not worth it. Best of luck though, chin up!

I am not a big girl...16 years old, 110 pounds, 5 foot 4, but I am not small either. I am pretty happy with my body, but my arms & legs seem to have some extra flab. I am not fat...they just seem large to me. How can I get skinnier arms & legs? I do not want them to be very muscular necessarily, just skinnier. Do you know any exercises or anything else to help me get skinnier arms and legs?

There's no REAL exercises that you can do to get rid of extra-largeness on specific parts of your body. But, what you can do is stretch and strengthen your muscles on your arms and legs, that way, the muscle becomes toned and you're more likely to lose the unwanted weight from there!

16.f...My good guy friend, also on my tennis team with me, started to like me over the summer. He like talked to my bff about me, to find out if I liked him? Atleast that's all she could/would tell me. We went on like 2 dates to a movie a couple months ago but I decided I wasn't that into it. So, it's been a few months and I'm successfully tried to not talk to him as much so not to lead him on or anything. But I just found out that he still likes me hardcore-his friends call me and are like "do you like jared?" UGH it's just really annoying. So, now i really just don't like him in that way and now *partly bc of his friends calling me, who by the way i have never met* well, I just don't know what to do. I thought we had moved passed that but boy was I wrong. What should I do?!

Why not talk to him and tell him that he should control his friends because you can't cope with their immaturity? Be straight with him, if he likes you, surely he'd do as you say if you meant it. If his friends ring you again, tell them that you'd call the cops for harrassment if they called again - that should stop them!!

Ok .. So fer Christmas i wanna get people stuff thell actually like .. Right now im done broke .. but im earning money fer Christmas startin now.
Ok so .. I have to buy for My Mom, Dad, Brother, Dog [ yea i buy him stuff ! Lol ], Aunt, and Friends. About [ 5 or so closer friends ]

Ill probly spend the majority on my Brother .. Like something from American Eagle or Aero . but nothing too much ..

My mom .. either clothes or workout stuff.

My dog .. A dog coat from old navy which are kinda expensive for a dog.

Soo what should i get my dad ? I always get him tools and stuff like that .. Hes a construction worker but he doesnt really have that many hobbies or anything .. he plays on Pogo.com a lot and he is a ClubPogo Member. If i can get enough through chores and babysitting .. which i might beable to caz i babysit a lot and i get paid very well by all of my clients .. maybe i could get him tickets for a hockey game or something .. but i need other ideas for a dad.

my aunt .. Shes moving to Ohio from Florida .. and loves Bee stuff. ya like Bumble Bees.. weird. I dont want to spend to much on her becasue i have about 18 other aunts and uncles all together and shes the only one im buying for becasue im really close with her. Any gift ideas ?

my friends .. i dont want to spend that much on them. lol. So is there anything i could make .. there are boys and girls .. i could probly spend some money on them .. but not THAT much. So if you could give me some inexpensive ideas for boys and girls ( the ones im buying for are really close friends .. but i was thinking of making suckers and brownies ?)

Also .. any Guys/ around 18 .. what would a good present from your sister be ? Ill probly spend 20-30 dollars on him.

Also .. everyone besides my aunt live in upstate NY .. so Hockey tickets would be Sabres... anyone know about how much tickets are for them ?

13/m, insanely long story short, we were friends, over the summer I realized I liked her, I told her because it was driving me insane, she wasn't sure in what way she liked me. In other words, she felt sorry for me and didn't want to hurt my feelings by telling me she didn't like me as more than a friend but didn't want to lie by saying she did like me. Don't give me any of that "teenagers don't know love" crap. Even if we don't, infatuation is a vital phase in our lives, eh? So anyway, after a while, I started dreaming about her---I even dreamt that I asked her out successfully one time!---and everything started reminding me of her... the usual stuff. I tried asking her out in person. Didn't work. So I was over her for about 3 days. Then everything reminded me of her---even more!!! When school started, we found things too awkward to talk to each other. It was just... weird. Things have started getting better though. But it was weird for about a month or two. The only way we talked was over AIM.

Then last week I started playing guitar, using my dad's old electric one and one of his acoustics, depending on which one my sister (she was also trying to learn) was using. So I was IMing her (she plays acoustic) and then I said that I was trying to learn guitar, and that my next attempt to play a piece was Another One Bites The Dust. Her response? "thats totally hott!!!" So that was pretty cool. Then the next day I walked into school and she stopped me right in front of the science room. She had dreamt about me. Apparently, I started rocking on the electric guitar, and then she joined in on acoustic, and it was cool, and then we went to the moon. She's a spaz.

But anyway, does she finally like me? Everyone said she liked me last year. My friends, my family, they were all saying it. But we were both in denial. Like one time my best friend came up to us and said, "You know, *her name*, you look like *my name*'s boyfriend!" We both dismissed that thought and walked away. But she was like flirting with me all year. And as the class loser/nerd, I'm blind to anyone dropping hints or flirting with me.

Yesterday I IMed one of her best friends and asked if she had liked me last year. ("She" being the person I liked, not her best friend.) She logged out. Does that mean something? Or did she honestly not know?

Last night I dreamt that the friend IMed me back and sent me the URL of a blog about me. It was all about how much she liked me last year. It was really sweet! And then in science class that day someone put the Spamalot soundtrack into a CD player and the only 2 people who knew the words were her and me. So we did a duet of The Song That Goes Like This. It was cool.

So obviously she's taken over my life, if I honestly call this a "long story short" which it honestly is, surprisingly. I can't stop thinking about her. Everything reminds me of her. Roller coasters? We went to a carnival together. Egypt? She hugged me on the day I made a presentation on Egypt. The game Batik? It sounds like a Greek-ish name, she's from Greece. Obviously I'm obsessed. Is there any way to stop that apart from finding someone else? Because right now I've kinda got my mind set on her...

A few more questions. Does she like me? How can I find out? I think I had a few more but I forget what they are...

A few things not to say:
-There are other fish in the sea. I'm not really looking for others, first I have to either get her to like me or to get over her. Take life one step at a time.

-You could probably pick up any girl! Not really, most girls hate me, whether it's because I'm really nerdy, I'm a loser, I talk too much, or I don't really care about my looks and thus aren't hot.

-You've got the rest of your life to live! Well, yes, but first, I have to reach the rest of my life outside an insane asylum!

Yeah... I'm sorry, when I get started on her I just keep going and going and going... sorry... I should probably shut up now. Oh, and any responses violating the ToS will be reported without hesitation. That includes unhelpful advice. Thank you so much, you don't know how much this means to me!!!

P.S. For what it's worth, she's hugged me three times... every time I've rejected it for some unknown reason... like if you've ever read Flowers for Algernon, you know how whenever he got too close to Alice Kinnian he got scared and couldn't go through with it for some unknown reason? Yeah, it's like that. I'm still partially child and I guess half my mind is ready for this and half my mind is still saying that "girl are icky" or something like that....

Don't apologise for the length, it was nice reading it.
From what you've said, she is confused with her feelings, but it sounds like she does like you but is too shy. Is she a shy person?
You can find out by complimenting her then observing her reactions.
One thing I would advise you to do, for your own benefit is to hug her. Just step that little step higher because if she wants to hug you, then give it to her. You never know, she might be thinking the same thing.
I don't underestimate the power of love nor do I think there is a restricted age...you can't help who you fall in love with..but you can make yourself happy with that person.
Like I said, step that little step higher, you never know, the results may be surprising! :)

It depends of the amount of mayo it has. Some salads have quite a lot, making them fatty, whilst others aren't. It's like anything really, if you're looking for a low-fat seafood salad, there is actually ones you can buy which are low fat!

Last night, my middle school had a dance. I finally got the courage to ask (let's call him "Will") Will, this guy I've really liked since April of last semester, to slow-dance. Well, the song was really short, and we're fairly good friends (we usually talk most of the time on AIM) so he said to me "Hey, Penelope, can I tell you a secret? I have a huge crush on Catherine." Isn't that awful? I feel terrible. And to top everything off, it's my birthday today too :( Is there anyone I can talk to? Because my friends don't really get it and neither do my parents.

my boyfriend and I are going to have our 1 year in december so I have alot of time to prepare. I'm going to do something very special in my guest/spare bedroom. It has a couch and a tv. I want to cook him dinner and dessert, decorate it with candles and stuff, but I don't have any ideas. What kind of food can I make that's easy? He'll eat ANYTHING. How else can I decorate besides candles/roses? maybe music? How do I make this room look AMAZING? I'll take anything.

Food - Spaghetti bolognaise. You never know, it could turn out like something from The Lady and the Tramp!
Decoration - Roses, yes! Rose petals on the sofa/bed perhaps. Candles too, but how about scneted ones, lit 1/2 hour before so the room smells of the scent of your choice! :)
Music - Romantic music. Maybe buy a CD of love songs
That could be some ideas to start you off! :)

ok my teacher is putting me next to these 2 boys and they always make me laugh and i cant help it but my teacher yells at me and sends me to the offic for laughing !! omg it bugs the crap out of me ...... so she called my mom and my mom got all pissed and then she grounded me . i want to tell my teacher to move me but i have a feeling if she moves me she will move me by my self and i dont want to sit by my self.so what should i do to try to tell her why i need to be moved with out her moving me by my self.

Why not either talk to her or give her a note stating that you want to be moved because of the distraction but you don't want to be by yourself. Be straight with him/her and maybe he'll/she'll understand!

Ok well in exactly a week from now I have to run a mile and a half in P.E, and I'm really out of shape. It's a race and my teacher says I must be one of the first people to finish. Does anybody have advice on how to run faster? Any food that could give me energy to run faster? Please help me.

Caffeine or energy drinks? That could help with the higher energy levels. Practice your hardest though. Bare in mind that you're going to do it to you and not for other people - don't let the pressure get to you too much!

I just got powerchains put on the front of my braces..and they are a really bright color. Is there anyway that I could make the color fade.. maybe by brushing my teeth a lot or drinking a lot of water or something? Because I wont be able to get the color changed for another 2 months. Thanks

okay i have a very werid problem...i have two periods a month and they each last 8 days...is this strange and/or bad for me? ill rate 5's unless its mean

Have you told anyone else about this, perhaps a parent? This isn't *normal* but it's not *abnormal* either. Few people have it and it depends on the balancing of periods. I advise for you to tell a parent, I know it's embarrassing but seek their advice! :)

Ugh this makes me so upset because I'm way too obsessed with my boyfriend. Granted i do love him and he loves me I just feel like I have to be with him all of the time. I don't really hang out with my friends that much because my whole life is based on him. We almost broke up because I don't like him to not pay attention to me after I had spent 5 hours with him that day. We are on a break right now, but I need some help because we are getting back together on Monday. But I would talk to him and still crownd him while we were on our break. We've been together for over a year so it's not just a fling. I want to do anything I can to save our relationship. I really really love him and I don't want to lose him. Can someone please give me adivice?

Alright, you MUST trust him. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that you don't trust him, but you need to give the lad some space. If you don't, that break could last forever and you would've lost someone and regretted it for a long time. Just lower it a level and I'm sure things will turn out ok in the end!
