1 year anniversary ideas

Question Posted Saturday November 12 2005, 12:21 pm

my boyfriend and I are going to have our 1 year in december so I have alot of time to prepare. I'm going to do something very special in my guest/spare bedroom. It has a couch and a tv. I want to cook him dinner and dessert, decorate it with candles and stuff, but I don't have any ideas. What kind of food can I make that's easy? He'll eat ANYTHING. How else can I decorate besides candles/roses? maybe music? How do I make this room look AMAZING? I'll take anything.

happy one year!! you should make some pasta, or even chicken or something easy like that. then for dessert you could do like cheescake or even chocolate covered strawberries. (very romantic haha) decorate the room with dimmed lights, flowers, make a card, set up a couple pillows on the floor, and just use really really soft music in the backround. hope this helps you!

First of all, Happy One Year =]

For the room, maybe put roses all around the table and candles all around the room. The scent of the candle should be really sweet smelling. A peach candle possibly. Whenever you go shopping for candles, try finding some with the word "romance" or "love" in it =] Those are always the best smelling candles. =] Heres some sites I found. The one had a good idea I think about making 100 balloons ( maybe you could make 50 ) about reasons why you love them and turn it into a little intro game and then the last one says "I love you" and it'll lead him to the room and I think that's very very romantic and sweet =] You could also make a trail of roses.

but to be simpler, do you know what he likes? Just make some of his favorite foods. It doesn't matter how exravagent or romantic it looks, its the thought that you were thinking about what he'd like. =]

For the music.. do you guys have a song? I might wnat to play that. But if not, usually classical music or soft jazzy kind of music usually sets the mood and it's really nice to slow dance too =]

Also, on the table I might suggest a homemade card or a home made photo album. Or both! =] In the photo album just dedicate each page to a month. One October, one November, etc. And on each page put in pictures from that month or write memories you remember having in that month. ( or if you don't remember WHEN the memories happened just have pages dedicated to memories and pictures =] either way its really sweet ) and maybe inside the front cover of the album maybe write him a message something like.
" These are just some of the amazing memories that we have had together and I will always cherish them. I only hope that we can fill this album with more. I love you so much " or something like that =] Homemade things show you really care =] I hope I helped and I hope you two have an amazing romantic night =]

Love,
MELii

Spaggeti (I'm sure many people said this). With meatballs and garlic bread. A good drink would be chamoange if you're legal but if you're not sparkling cider would do the trick. The candles and roses are good. Another cute idea is make a trail of rose petals leading to the room. Make the candles sented. Basically a ton of flowers is the best decorations. You could even hang little hearts from the ceiling. Put red everywhere. Also you could have little cards around that say something special you two did together. For music buy or burn a CD with a ton of slow love songs. Particullarly, ones that you two like or have something to do with your relationship. For example the first song you guys danced to together. For after dinner watch a romantic or scary movie; really anything you could cuddle to. Or you can dance to the music. Whatever makes this night meaningful. I hope I helped!

Food - Spaghetti bolognaise. You never know, it could turn out like something from The Lady and the Tramp!
Decoration - Roses, yes! Rose petals on the sofa/bed perhaps. Candles too, but how about scneted ones, lit 1/2 hour before so the room smells of the scent of your choice! :)
Music - Romantic music. Maybe buy a CD of love songs
That could be some ideas to start you off! :)
Good luck with it!

Hey

Awww that sounds like a great ideaa.
I think you should buy LOTS of candels and put rose pedals all over the room. That would be sooo cute. That alone would make the room look amazing.
Also you could make a heart with the rose pedals on the bed, or couch. Heres a pix of what i mean:

For music:

i would go with these songs

Ray-j - One wish
twista - so lonely (feat. Mariah Carey
omarion - i'm tryna
mariah carey - Dont forget about us
cassie - me and you
bow wow ft Ciara - like you
any slow love songs would be cute. Just don't over do it.

One thing i would do is make him a homemade card. With pictures of you guys together, or just cute quotes. You could also leave little notes around the room that says i love you and stuff.

About the food why don't you ask your mother i'm sure she knows something good to make. Maybe she can help you make it. Or just go out and buy something. LOL he'll never know the difference.
haha. Idea's on what to make. Hmmm maybe spaghetti and meatballs. If he eats about anything then iit shouldn't really matter what you make.

If you need anymore ideas and stuff just IM me on aim. My sn is DiOr BARBIEE
