Helloo I was thinking of wearing my hair half up half down for homecoming and my hair is curly but I want tto like actually curl it. Also I don't half up half down styles. DO you think you guys could help? thankS!

I just had homecoming last night. Do you know those styles where girls take a little bit of hair off the top of their hairline and pull it back in bobby pins to form a small 'poof'? I did that with a really pretty clip then curled the parts that hung out of the clip, it look beautiful. However, I straightened the parts that weren't in the clip. You could either straighten or leave those parts curly.

I like this guy lets call him "Phil"(random name). I have a crush on him, he's at my new school. He plays guitar, is short, but cute, he luvs the same music i do(fob, mcr, p!atd, and to top it all off my locker is right next to his and we sit next to eachother for every class because of the seating chart. So today he sits next to me and my friend Tori for lunch. He says I remind him of his ex girlfriend. Now, from what I know from talking to him, he only has had one girlfriend and she and him were together 3 weeks ago, but he asked her to go to homecomeing with him, she said no and she brokeup with him. He was evidently head-over-heels for her.

FYI: I have a short attention span. So i just hear him say creepy and point at me. So i turned my head and said 'What's wrong with me being creepy?' He threw his hands up in surrender and said "You're not creepy at all! I said it's just creepy how much you are like my ex-girlfriend"

He's SO nice and cute! There's a Sady Hawkin's dance comin' up, so i was wondering what do u think he meant by that I'm like his ex, is that good or bad given the past.

I want him to know that I'm not some carbon clone of his ex if he does like me. How should I go about this.

Well, if he was head over heels for his ex, then I think he means it as a compliment :] Now, start flirting woman! Don't look too eager though, just laugh when he's funny. Smile at him, catch his eye, then glance away and giggle. Touch his arm when you talk to him. Just don't get too clingy, that won't work at all. Then, after you've got him where you want him .. ask him to that dance! Just take things lightly, don't rush him into another relationship.

My friends (who are girls) tell me I'm pretty, but I've never had a guy come up to me and tell me I'm hot. I really hate it because they'll flirt with ugly girls, and I get no attention from guys. I really hate myself because of it. I'll never get a boyfriend and I've never had a real one either. Also, I want to go to homecoming but no guy will want to dance with me. What do I do?

That question pretty much sums up my entire life as a student thus far. I feel for you as well. Okay, but heres what I've learned so far. If you've atleast got some looks, use them! Approach the guys first, be extra flirty! Ask a guy to dance, ask him to hang out, just try it. If he says no, brush it off and find a new cutie. Boys were basically put on this planet to give girls stress, heartaches, the best times of their lives, and their worst. So just keep in mind, they're just boys. So suck it up, find some confidence, and just have fun! You're way more likely to get a dance partner if you look like you're having a good time :]

Ok I had an LG Chocolate and it totally got messed up, like NOTHING was working! So my dad went and took it into a Verizon store and they replaced it with another chocolate. It's basically the same thing, with the same color and same model. I found out that my contacts and everything were missing, so me and my dad went back to the store that evening. Anyway, they couldn't transfer my contacts or anything over to my new phone, so I had to spend a fricken hour there just to switch my contacts one by one. AND I had to give them $25 to buy a memory card to get my pictures and videos. Which I also had to do one by one! I also had about 5 games and that weatherbug thing and they told me I would have to pay for them again if I wanted them back! So I was pissed about that, but NOW when I try to get them from the "Get It Now" thing, I always get a stupid error message saying "Unable to retrieve catalog. Please try again later. (534)" It won't even let me get anything! AND I can't send or recieve pix or flix! I lost pretty much everything! I tried going to their website to see if I could download anything there, but I don't think you can. Plus, my pictures got smaller for some reason after I transferred them. It has like, a white background now. I tried changing the resolution, but no luck. WTF is going on?! Do I have to fricken go back there again?!?! This is ridiculous! Ugh can someone please help???

I am on my fourth chocolate in two months, they're rediculous and I will never recommend them. The same things have been happening to me as well, they simply won't give me a new phone even though I offered to pay full price.

Heres some tips if you HAVE to keep your chocolate:
-Keep the sensitivity on medium-high.
-NEVER NEVER put it in your back pocket (this broke two of mine because the buttons are so sensitive)
-NEVER leave it charging overnight.
-Don't get it near water!

A man at Verizon told us the best we can do is to call LG and complain, they might give us a discounted price on a better phone. This is what I recommend you to do as well.

Stick with your boyfriend, this happened to me too. Maybe just the thought of have a new expierence with a new guy excites you. Its probably just a phase though, so wait it out. Give it two-three weeks and see if your feelings for the other guy weaken/strengthen then decide from there whether or not to call it quits with your man. Be sure to give your guy a fair chance. Don't go looking for his flaws to use against him as an excuse to go out with this other guy. Just remember to wait things out :]

I've been so tired for a little over a week...almost constantly. I'll sleep 12-20 hours then stay up 5 and be exhausted. And its not BAD sleep...thats what gets me. I'm sleeping really well, and I have vivid dreams. It surprises me that I actually remember them.

I didn't use to be like this...it sorta came out of no where. Lol I use to be the opposite - staying up 20ish hours.

Gah...I just don't know whats wrong!
I searched online and all I've found is Narcolepsy...but that can't be it, can it? I've never been this way before...

I had a similar problem, the crazy thing is I slept too much! My doctor told me to get a maximum of 12 hours of sleep. He said 8-10 is ideal. Try having a set bedtime and a set wake up time for the entire week, even the weekends. This will get your body back into a regular cycle. Exercise a few times a week to help get your blood pumping and try to eat a balanced meal. After a few days of this, you should feel like new.

Try to relax when the moment comes; keep your lips loose and soft. Embrace him and slowly being kissing. Making out is just a bunch of little kisses. When things get heated up, you can add tounge slowly if you wish. Try licking his lips a bit, or barely touching his tounge with yours. This is a total turn on for anyone. Don't get too far into it at once, this could cause him to get grossed out or even too much saliva which can get messy. As for your hands, I personally love to put them around his neck and sometimes on his cheeks to pull him in closer. His waist or on his shoulders can also work nicely as well. Occasionally, pull back gently and bite your bottom lip. This usually drives guys wild.

You could do like sterotypes (I.E: One prep, one emo, one scene, one nerd etc) You could all be the girls from Deal or No Deal or wear like football jerseys in a sexy, creative way.

What does it mean when people go, "Hey you with the face"? I know an example is "Hey you with the hair" meaning someone with a cool haristyle is being called but for face does it mean your facial expression (smiles,frowns,etc.) or troubling features like acne. Someone said that to me and said hi but I'm wondering if that "hi" was a fake one to make me feel good. So if it was my look I'm good but if it was my face I'm gonna ignore people who says stuff like that to me =/.

I always use "Hey, you with the face" as a silly expression to say hi. I never mean anything personally by it, its just like saying "Hey, *insert name here* except you are stating something totally obvious by saying they have a face.


I wouldn't take any offence to it, most people don't. However, if she/he used it in a harsh tone, then I guess somehow they meant it to be rude. But I wouldn't worry over people like that.

k so i had my homecoming last night and i had a date but he got suspeneded the day before so he couldn't go but i also had a thing going with my friend who took this other girl that i hate. At homecoming my friend and i ended up making out and his date, including my date who got suspended friends are very mad at me and him. I don't know what to do it fix it all and convince everyone that i'm not a slut and it was a mistake. How can i make it up to my date that got suspended? PLEASEE HELP!

Ah, I'm a bit confused. You basically made out with a guy who had another date? Personally, I don't believe that makes you a slut at all; but hey, alot of people are more strict then I am.

But heres what I say: Who cares what they think? Yes, I know its alot harder then it sounds, but personally that helps me get through alot of rough times. So the guy had a date, it doesn't mean they were married or anything. Its not like you broke up the cutest couple in the world, its just one dance.

Now to your date who got suspended, you don't really have much explaining to do. It was homecoming night and you got carried away, it was totally understandable. He's lucky you had a good time after he left you date-less at the last moment. If people say anything to do, simply answer, "Well hey, atleast I had fun. I'm sorry you didn't."

If you're more polite then this, then go ahead and explain that you got carried away. But honestly, I don't think that you are at fault in any way here; You're just a teenage girl having fun!

I like this guy that i just met and he likes me. He calls every night and says the cutest things but, now he wants me to call him. Should i call,or what if he is busy?

There are a couple of ways you can handle this, 1. Play the waiting game, or 2. Straight out call him.

I suggest you not playing the game, unless you know what you're doing. In this case, this would mean waiting three days and playing with his mind in the phone call just to tease him a bit and to be 'hard to get'.

I would just flat out call him, most guys can't handle the being around the bush thing. Try to see when he might be free like a casual, "When do you get home from football practice?" Try calling around then. Be sure to sound polite if his parents/siblings answer. Oh Oh! Be sure you have some things to talk about before you call him *unless you guys just have natural conversation flow* cause other wise that could get awkward. I suggest things like school, sports, his family etc.

me and my girlfriend have been going out for about 7 months, we've never really "gone at it" like fought fought, with screaming and yelling.

well im 15, turn 16 in march and theres kid that i DO NOT like who's 16 and drives. he drives her everywhere with her friends, and only once has he drivin her anywhere alone (which was from her practice to her house, and she called me once she got home).

he doesn't like me either, long story there but its irrelevant. so me going with her anywhere in that same car is out of the question.

i'm not going to lie i'm extremely jealous, and i feel like...worthless? because if she gets stuck anywhere, she has to call him to pick her up. and he's not a good driver, infact, i've heard of several "just missed" happenings with him. and my girlfriend was in the car.

His cars an old beat up ford contour, and i have a nice 98 camaro. minor relief there.

but once again, who's 16 and has a license.

In health class, I recently read the line "Every feeling is reasonable simply because they are uncontrollable responses to previous events." That line helps me with everything when I feel stupid for being jealous, or when i feel pathetic for feeling sad over a silly little thin. So yes, you ahve every right to be jealous. Shes your girlfriend tagging around with this older guy all the time.


Now, the thing is you need to let your girlfriend know how you feel like you mentioned. I'm sure you want to sound macho and tough, or maybe I'm just being stereotypical ;] but hey I'll give it my best shot.

" *insert her name her*, I'm not going to lie. I'm pretty jealous about you always being around *his name here* I know he can drive and whatnot, but your my girlfriend, I love the fact that you are because it means that you're mine. I understand the he's your friend and all, but I just think this guy is pretty sketchy. It'd be cool if we could work something out about this"

If its clear that she's somewhat happy about the fact that she's made you jealous, you have a bigger problem on your hands. Just remember, in love .. if one of the two are trying to make the other jealous on purpose, it won't work out. Just talk it out and don't feel guilty about your emotions.

Well, here's my best ideas:
1) Ask each one of her teachers if its okay to leave a rose on her desk waiting for her. Attach a one or two word letter on each one eventually adding up to ask "Will you go to homecoming with me?" (It would be very cute if you were holding the last rose by her locker at the end of the day) Each rose could have a different word attached to it, and you could even put the words in a mixed up order just to have a little fun with it.



2) Write "*her name*, Homecoming?" on a big poster .. either leave the poster in her room, on her mailbox, on her car if you drive, in a classroom, or taped to her locker.



3) If you don't want to do the rose thing, you could do sticky notes left on her desk / locker left in mixed up order for her to figure out.

I'm sorry to tell you this, but most of the time girl's don't actually miss the boy, they miss the way things with the boy used to be. I've noticed this with several friends. I also noticed this with my best friend and her on again/ off again boyfriend. Eventually, she had to break up with him for good to simply move on a be happy. I'm afraid thats what you'll probably have to do unless you two can handle this relationship like adults and put forth your best efforts. Other then that, maybe call it quits if nothing changes in the next few weeks. Try spending times doing something new, with old friends, or joining a club. i've been dating my boyfriend for almost 2 years and three months. we're perfect and everyone loves us and our relationship. we don't have sex because we don't want to take the risks (being seniors in high school with our whole lives in front of us). but we do lots of other sexual stuff. anyway, lately, he's been so.. annoying, as much as i hate to say it. i've always known he's been less mature than me. but for about a month or so it seems like i'm so much more mature than him. he talks about the most random, stupid stuff, and i get disinterested and annoyed, making him wonder what's wrong, and i can't tell him that i think he's annoying. so i just say nothing and we're off to the next stupid subject.

I have to cases that very much relate to your problem: Me .. and my best friend.
My best friend was in a year long relationship, for the last month or so her boyfriend began to get on her nerves and acting immature. She finally called it quits. She was very sad to do so, because she loved him. But she felt it was time to let go because they just couldn't get along the same way anymore. They've been broken up for a month now, they still talk and hang out but the loves slowly fading. She has moved on to new friends and new oppurunities.

Now my case, I've been dating my boyfriend for seventeen months. No sex, but sexual stuff like you as well. Anyways, for the past four months he's been getting on my nerves. I'll enjoy my time away from him, and being with other people. I still love him, but some of his imperfections have found their way onto my bad list. I've noticed this list growing and growing, we're just not as happy as we used to be. We may still be together, I still love him, but were not happy.

Now its your turn. Maybe you should talk to him, let him know how you feel in a concerned but nice way. Maybe you should let go, is it time for you? Or maybe, you feel that you can fix this problem with educational television like the advicer below me suggested. I just wanted to give you a couple real life examples of what this kind of case lead to.

k so i just went to american eagle and got this cute marroon overshirt with a kinda hood. and for the first day i wanna wear that with a white lacy undershirt and jeans with white flip flops. do you think this would be ok?

Personally I'm not a fan of flip flops and jeans, I think they don't match. However, I do notice several girls at school sporting this style, so if you like it go for it!

I live in Georgia and its been in the hundreds quite alot lately, but everyone at school wears jeans. I think you'll be just fine, since its everyone's first day I don't think they'll be worrying about your pants.

I bet you'd love any Sarah Dessen books. They're very popular right now and I've loved just about everyone of them. They deal primarily on relationship, school, and friendship issues but aren't boring and cliche like some books can be.

I'd deffinitley recommend Just Listen, The Truth about Forever, and Dreamland.
