My name is Devin Lindsey or Vinny as my sister calls me! I am 17 years old and go to Bethel Park High school. I loooove swimming along with dancing, singing, and playing softball. I also run varsity track with is alright i supose too.


My favorite colors are orange, pink, and blue. I love to be crazy and have a good time

I've had a job working for 15+ monthes so I can answer alot about that

and I know alot about relationships in general so I can be helpful with that sometimes

especially with parent child relationships


I am a very observant person and tend to know more and care about more than most my age


and I really believe in volunteering to help animals especially at shelters. Usually its not their fault that they have to live their and its usually horrible cercimstances that bring them there and I feel terrible that they can't speak for themselves and people are too caught up in spending like $500 on this cute little pure breed puppy from a breeder just into getting rich instead of giving one of these dogs another chance at life (there are usually a handful of dogs under a year old so the i want a puppy excuse doesn't work with me)

My baby is named Lainey Mae... we got her from a shelter about 2 hours away from us when she was 7 weeks old. she is now 2 years old and the center of our family. unfortunately someone was cruel enough to go down and drug up and shoot (but luckly not kill) most of the dogs plus rob the owner (just like someone did at the shelter where I volunteer) and its now shut down

My girlfriend and I live togehter and we both believe she is pregnant. She was told by her doctor years ago that she has endometriosis and that she coold not have kids. We had a scare several months back. She took 5 at home pregnancy test. 3 came back positive and 2 were negative. 2 weeks later she had her monthly cycle. She is now late again 2 months. She again has taken at home tests. All 5 have come back positive. We are pretty certain that she is but need a doctors blessing before we tell our families. Problem is that she has no insurance until mid January 06'. We cannot go through the holidays without letting our parents know. Do you know of any places close to or in Geneva IL. where we can get a doctors exam that will not cost us over $100. I have called several OBGYN offices and with no insurance it will cost atleast $135-$175.00.

thats not that much i mean you have to go sooner or later! try a clinic in you city the usually have low/free cost for people that dont have insurance.

i have horrible grades. and i dont know how. i try hard. but i have to miss a lot of school. our school has a rule about after 11 absents' you may loose class credits. im a sophmore. i try hard and im very smart. i have easy classes. but i think the bad grades are because of the missing school. you know. which most of the time wasnt my fault. i was in a really bad wreck. my car rolled 6 times. and i broke a rib and slightly punctured a lung. adn broke my collar bone. and had 311 stitches in my left arm, and 83 staples in my head. so obviously a bad wreck. my doctor ordered me to stay out of school for a week or two. so i did for a week in a half. and that was 7 school days. then i got really sick. adn missed like 3 days and then sick again and missed a couple more days. my princepal has told me i need to go to school. but i was sick and couldnt even hardly get out of bed. what would you do to get your grades up if you missed a lot of school

well by law the school cant make you loose a credit if a doctor ordered you to stay home or whatever. i would recomend getting a tutor or staying after school/before with some of your teachers to catch up. if your mom calls the principal im sure they would understand

My boyfriend and I are fairly young, but we've been together for a long time. We have been talking about marriage, and both of our families support us and think it's a good idea.

Here is the problem. We're both from different countries. I don't want to have to choose one country over the other, or in other words, one family over the other. Also, I have never really pictured myself having a big wedding. I am pretty shy, and I know making my wedding a huge show would end up being very stressful for me. I would rather have it be a private ceremony between two people that love each other. Also, if we eloped, it would be more affordable.

So does it sound like a good idea? If you're wondering, he is indifferent about how we would get married.

i think you should at least have each others familys there. just like mom and dad or whatever. or have 2 weddings 1 in each country or maybe on a cruise so each family will have to travel

Hey I'm 13 years old and I'm a really advanced reader for my age (just so you know). It doesn't mean I can read/understand adult books but whatever! I really want a list of GOOD books from like all genres!! If you could give me the title, author, and genre of the books you're suggesting that would be great!

well i recomend the giver. idk who wrote it but its a really good book. im not even sure the genre. i wouldnt say its an advanced book but its pretty good. i also liked a separate peace by john knowles. it sorta talks about ww2. but the book is more about a friendship between 2 boys. i just read it for 10th grade english class.

Basically, in the last 6 or seven months I've lost abut 10.5 pounds/three quarters of a stone just through cutting down on certain foods and running. I've never stopped eating completely although there were certain times where I ate minimally and may have not eaten quite enough. I didn't really need to lose the weight in the first place I just had some puppy fat but now i am much skinner (48.7kg/7.6 stone/107 pounds)and generally happier. My only concern is that I may have stunted my growth through this. I am 15 years old and 5 ft 4 inches. Is this likely? x x x

thats not that much at all. you shouldnt stunt your growth. there are alot of people that have to lose that amount in a day (wrestlers ex) and they end up just fine. as long as you are still eating and being healthy there should be no problem

So I have sweaty palms all the time, no matter how cold it is. Now, I was going to put deoderant on my hands, but on the instruction label, it says "underarms only". Am I going to get a rash or something if I put deoderant on my hands? Or is there some other (inexpensive) product I should be buying?

there prob. is something you sould buy. i know they make stuff for sweaty feet. you should try that, but i doubt the deoderant will harm your hands unless you have supersensitive hands

i have naturally tanned skin and i'm doing my first show.I will be performing dances from disney movies.
my dance teacher said we have to wear lip stick and eyeshadow above the eyelid.any ideas for colour schemes coz without them lipstick sounds pretty granny-like.
p.s. i'm 13 so don't go overbooard on anything and any other make up suggestions to look a bit different would be appreciated!!!

i would try light colors for the eye shadow like gold, whites, blues and maybe purples? most colors work together it just depends on what your wearing and stuff. i would recomend going with a mor pinkish lipstick and make sure the eye shadow doesnt clash with your costume

What the crap is up with me getting BAD ratings from Level 2 or 3 or whatever moderators? I am getting like 1's and 2's and I am giving good advice! Has this happened to anyone else?

well are you a level 2 mod. if you arent they you have no idea who they are any why they are giving you that. also level 2s and 3s give honest rating and can even go back and change bad ratings. you dont have to be a moderator to rate someone!

I tried using tampons yesterday but i messed up on the first one, the second one i got in but it hurt really bad and i dont know what to do I wanna wear one but it hurts like when I sit down and stuff any tips on how to make it not hurt? thank you!

well it takes a few times for you to get it right and it not to hurt. if it hurts you prob didnt put it in far enough. just keep trying. it took me a whole box till i got it perfect

This isn't exactly pets, but it's the closest one.

In my neighborhood, a stray dog keeps wandering around. It's eating grass and the fur around the joints is gone. I feel really bad for the dog, but my mom won't let me take him in. Everytime I go inside to get a number for an animal shelter, he runs away. I need an idea on what to do.

well i would recommend calling the shelter and telling them you just have a dog that comes aruond every once and a while. make sure its a no kill shelter! or have the number with you so once you see the dog yuo can call in (like have it in your cell or something) or your moms not around just tile it to a rope or something so that you have him when you call the shelter

Okay, this is VERY long but im Very confused so please help me!

Ok last year (6th grade) THERE was this guy and he is cute, smart, funny, but shy (just a little bit though) and he was new to our school. but he went to our school in kindergarden and he was in my class and I liked him (my 1st crush).

So then in the 6th grade I liked Him A LOT. and no one knew because almost every girl in the grade liked him and my bff (the only 1 who knew) said that I shouldnt like him that it was pathetic because i was just like every one else.

But i couldnt stop liking him. not just because he was cute but because i loved his personality everyone just liked him becuase of his looks.

but i really thought that he was ruining my life because ever since i started liking him, i got bad grades. so i pretended to hate him. and he went along with it and we started to fight and I acted like i hated him but i really really liked him. so when the year ended i was upset that we were fighting because i wanted to b friends with him. he was so nice and interesting. (you know that feeling when u just want to get to know someone?)

so this year i still liked him and so did this girl i thought was my friend but she was a brat and so i asked him out 4 her but then she started lying about me saying stuff that i made up about her a and when i asked him and he said no i pressured him into doing it because i thought she would except me now. but it just got worst he REALLY hated me now and they broke up after a few weeks.

after a while we started talking again and became sorta kinda just a bit friends and stuff because we both had this same teacher who was really nasty and we exchanges stories about him.It was fun and sometimes I would catch him staring at me and stuff i REally liked him i swear it was no longer a crush i really LOVED him. I mean I dream about him every night and sometimes i even cry myslef to sleep because Iknow I would never have a chance with him I asked my friends if they thought i could get any guy and they were all like yea ur blond and blue eyes and thin and athletic and crap but i thought thta i had an ugly face i mean i guess i am ok but i dont know i have freckles(no affence 2 any one out there who does 2 i just dont like them) but still no one knew and i was starting to think he didnt even picture me as a friend just as someone he knew.

but then last night we had a dance at our school and he kept staring at me and everyone was grinding and everything and then a slow song came on and he started dancing with a punk girl and i was like thats not his type he is a surfer dude person not a punk or something y ius he doing this? so i ignored him the rest of the night and tried to have a good time but when i came home i cryed for
3 hours.
I am so depressed and I cant just let him go I am going in sane please dont think i am an obsessive freak like some girls I am really in love with this guy. I know it! and every day i see him i want to ask him if he likes me but i think that will totally ruin any chance I have to be with him. I cant ask him out either everyone thinks I hate him and my biggest fear is rejection.
