I am twenty-one, soon to be twenty-two, and currently work in a loan servicing department. I truly enjoy my job, as well as college, in which I am reaching my last year to receive my degree. I am an outgoing person whom loves to have fun, be with my best friends and family, go shopping and most importantly, helping others.
Helping others has always been my passionate, from a young age I knew that I wanted to help other people and be a great influence in making someone's life turn for the better. I am in love with one of my friends. We're not best friends, but I really do love him. But the problem is, even though he's fit and tan and beautiful, he likes fat chicks. I am so sad. I am naturally thin and small-framed, and I feel pain any time I see him flirt. I can't just become something I'm not, and I feel so terrible that I can't do anything. I don't know what's wrong with him. I am beautiful, and fit and we would be perfect. But we're not because he can't see me as I want him to. What should I do? (link)

If he can't like you for who you are, then he doesn't even deserve you. I wouldn't worry about not being with this guy too much, he really isn't worth you time. Forgive me if I'm being a little harsh, but I don't want you to get hurt over some guy who definitely isn't worth it. You'll find you a good guy one of these days, who will want you and only you.

I enjoy volunteering at the hospital, because it's very important to me. I can help so many people there, and that's really my ultimate goal in life.

Well, my friend told me that when he dyes his hair, he waits until about 30 minutes after he puts the dye in, and then he blows it dry, like when th dye is still in. and he told me that it makes the dye work better.
Is this true?
And are there any other things like this that help when you die your hair? (link)

1) It will work, but it will ultimately damage your hair and make it very weak and brittle. Not something I recommend doing.

I've been there. How I've learned to deal with these things is to consider what I'm going to have to do if I don't do the particular task, and I'm a person who cannot stand something that needs to be done and it isn't -- so that motivates me to do it. It wasn't always that easy, and I didn't always think this way, but after some good habits, I've learned to be that way about it. Here's something that may help you some more.

I think most of us have been there, trying to get over an ex is never easy -- but in time you'll move on and not even think about this guy hardly. As far as how much time, I can't really determine that because everyone is different. I think the main thing is finding a way to cope with it, you're always going to have some kind of feelings for him I'm sure, but you can't let them control your life. Or you'll never move on.

this winter break i really want to go to canada with my friend and her older brother and his friends. we would all stay in a condo and go skiing and just like have fun and stuff...but i don't think my parents will let me because they're soo strict. any ways to help me convince them to let me go?
oh and i'm almost 17/f and so is my friend. her brother and his friends are like 19ish and in college if you needed that info.

It's not going to be an easy task, but it can be done sometimes. Depending on the parents. I think it's a good idea if you explain to them that everbody's going, and you really want to go along and have fun with them. Plus, it's a good idea to get all of the parents together and talk about it -- that should help a whole lot too. Good luck!

Well, on my face, I don't have any like whiteheads or red bumps or anything, but little areas of red that don't respond to acne creams or hurt like red bumps. They're ugly, and I usually can't leave the house without dabbing cover-up on them. What can I do to get rid of these little spots? I know it's acne, not any of those weird skin conditions or anything. I have one on the tip of my nose, one between my eyebrows, and a couple tiny ones on my cheekbones and chin. (link)

*Don't pick or scratch your acne.
*Don't touch your face a lot with your fingers, it allows bacteria to come into your pores. Causing more breakouts.

I'd like to get my hair highlighted, but with a color darker than my original color (brown). I think this is called lowlights? But I'm not sure. And I don’t want to tell them the wrong thing, of course. Nothing too drastic- I just want it to be noticeable.
And I'd like to get it cut a few inches, so that it lands right on my collar bone, and a few layers. Does anyone have a good picture of this kind of hair? (it doesn't really matter what color). I can't find any good ones on the internet, they're all outdated and not very cute.

1) Yes, those are low-lights, so no worries there.

Ok so yesterday my boyfriend told me he loved me when he saw me and kissed me and told me he never wanted to lose me. Then today I got a call from my ex-boyfriend his best friend now and he was like how are you? I was like not so good because i wasn't haveing a good day.. why did you call? He's like bill(the boyfriend) wanted me to call but I forget why! Then he hung up the phone..so I call our bst friend Jena and she three ways him and was like do you want to brake up with jazz and he was like yeah! So i was like don't worry about it and hung up. He knew how much i care and he was going to have the one person i hate the most brake us up so i told him to leave me alone and he is still trying to talk to me it almost seems like he still wants to be with me....what should i do because i just want to move on..this is the second time he's made me cry! I mean i love him and always will because he was my first true love but i am not in love with him anymore. Can you help me make sense of it all because i really don't know? (link)

Yes, that made perfect sense. My advice is not to let your ex destroy what you have now, if you really love the guy that you're with -- stick with him. Especially, if you're not in love with your ex anymore. By the way, I don't believe your boyfriend told your ex to call you, I think he just wanted an excuse to call you and maybe, even cause trouble. So I would stay weiry of your ex.

I have this friend. Well, now we're more than friends because she asked me out today. and i said yes. I really really like this girl, but im afraid things are getting awkward between us, and because of it she'll break up with me. and this is only the first day...
Im not sure if maybe im just being paranoid or something, but the only way we knew each other was because we made fun of one another and joked around. now that we're more than just friends, I don't know what should change and what shouldn't.
the point is, i really like this girl, but i dont really know HOW to be her boyfriend. i dont want us to be ruined. and i dont want us to break up either... thats why this is confusing me.
anyway, here's my main question: is this just the type of thing we will get used to? or is this never going to work out between us? PLEASE help. (link)

I think you two will be fine if both of you have feelings for each other, which is obvious. So what I recommend is talking to her, asking questions about her -- to get to know her better. And in return, I'm sure she'll do the same with you. Try to offer her information about you too that's really important to you (people, places, things you've been through, etc). This should help you both, because the more you know about someone, the more comfortable you become with each other. With decreases the awkwardness.

well im dating a girl who ive known for awhile and am pretty good friends with and she doesnt like making out. she doesnt think its fun so she doesnt like it. what can i do to either change that or do to find something else just as fun? any ideas would greatly help. (link)

Coming from a girl, I think it would help if you sat down and talked to her about it. Let her know how much you really like her and how beautiful she is, and that's why you want to kiss her. And see where that leads, either way be sure to ask her what she would like you to do, that may lead somewhere. Good luck!

1) My favorite eyeliner is by Avon, they're called "Glimmersticks."
2) Yes, that is liquid eyeliner, but you could also make that look with other eyeliners. You just have to know how to apply it.

Since this is my first year of highshcool, I've been using the computer for double hours longer :school work, school courses, hoemwork which can take from 3-5 hours, and possibly more.
I guess I've been goign on alot because for random times my eyes would start to hurt and start to burn and water just randomly.
Is there anything i can do? It's making me mad that people keep teasing me that im crying (link)

I had to answer this question! I'm in the same position as you are, I'm always studying or something to do with school, and this computer does not help much with my eyes. I had to go get reading glasses, which you can get pretty cheap at your local drug store. They help tremendesly.
I also recommend taking frequent breaks, don't sit on a computer for long that 30-45 minutes at a time, because it makes it worse if you continue to set at a computer for a lot of time. So 15-20 minute breaks are great.
Another good tip is to never sit in front of a computer without a light on, it damages your eyes even more than usual. And please, I hope you follow my advice with the reading glasses, it helps so much with your eyes watering and burning, because at least your eyes are protected in someway.

O.k well this guy I like is kind of in the popular crowd. Like alot of the really popular guys talk to him. I try to stay in the middle so I'm not known to well so my name stays away from rumers. Anyway I like him and I think he likes me too. I want to ask him to be my bf, but I'm afraid that he will laugh in my face like he was dared or somethin cuz him and hiz friends do that alot. I think he really does like me thou because We are always joking and laughin and we sit together in all my classes. One time during a silent project he chunked a dictionary at my leg so I threw it back. We laughed. Another time my teacher asked his friend to write names on the board and he hates me so he wrote my name on there. He said NO erase it! So he did. He carries my trumpet to and from band hall too. I have to pay him though. My friends are always tring to hook us up. P.S not to sound raciest but he's balck and I'm white. PLEASE HELP ME!!! (link)

I wouldn't be too concerned about it, since it sounds like he really likes you a lot. I think you should talk to him alone, and let him know how you feel and see if feels the same. That way, you know exactly what's going on and if anything is going to come of your relationship with him right now.
If you aren't racist, I'm assuming that you're worried what others might think about the two of you dating. Anybody who knows me, knows the answer I'm going to give you or anyone else with this question -- don't worry about what other people think, the only thing that matters is what YOU think. Something good to remember there.
