My real name is Christiana, but most people call me "Nina". I am 18 going on 19. I enjoy helping people--just not when they are still in middle school and asking about love or sex. I do alot of painting on canvas, creative writing, reading, and listening to music. I'm pretty mellow. I love sci fi and fantasy based books and movies. I love medieval history--really I like most history but sometimes I wish I could live in a time period that didn't deal with so many technological complexities. If hes cheated on you several times ditch him. Why put yourself through anymore, the nice kid most likely won't do that to you. Hope this helps.

Alright, well I'm going to the doctors tommorrow for it, cuz i alreayd told my mom, but i was just wondering if anyone could tell me what it is before i go..

After i pee, i get like a stinging burning feeling and it feels like i still have to pee but i dont and it hurts.. and just tonight i started peeing blood.. does anyone know what this could be? A bladder infection maybe?

You must likely have a Urinary Tract Infection--they are extremely common though. Drinking cranberry juice REALLY helps.

I have a fairly big screen for my computer, however, when I'm on certain sites with small font (ex: fazed.net) I can't read the text because it's too small. Is there any way I can set it bigger and enhance it?

Again, this isn't exactly a massive problem, but if anyone has any ideas....
I had a big falling-out with my best friend this summer. She had been pissing me off for ages, by generally being a selfish, irritating ho (there are quite a few reasons, not important), so I just told her I didn't want to speak to her anymore. And now we are back at school and she has no idea I hate her. I'm still really angry at her, and she is just totally oblivious. I feel like I'd like some way to tell her how I feel or get revenge although I know it would be just to make myself feel better and make her feel bad.
Any ideas? And I'm this post makes me look like a bitter, avengeful bitch, don't bother leaving me notes telling me that, I'll report ya :)

You are going to have to tell her you really just don't enjoy her anymore...don't tell her you hate her-- just get the point across that you don't want her hanging around you. You must also consider that you can't really ignore her...she goes to your school--maybe you will be friends again someday. (happened to me...)

My homecoming dance is on Saturday and my dress is black, just plain black with like a ruffle around the waist. I want to add more color to my dress so i was thinking of buying a ribbon to tie on my dress or something. Does anyone have any good ideas what color ribbon i should get to match my black dress? And where could i get a ribbon that i can wear? I rate high for good answers.

I would just try a simple white ribbon...white and black always looks great together (my dress is black and white...) try any art store like ben franklins or michaels.

It would really help to know your age. Making out with someone isn't something you ask them to do...just slowly lean over and kiss him on the lips for just a second and let him take it from there...I know thats nervewrecking but try it! ok, i am an 18 year old female and my boyfreind is 22 years old. we live a ways apart (him new york me ohio) because i was forced to move. well, we have been living apart for about a month and a half and we can't take it anymore. but we can't decide wether we should have me move up there with him or have him move down here with me. at first we had sorta planned me going and living with him. but then my mom found out that she might have a tumor on her ovaries, tubes, or liver. She doesnt want me to leave because she needs me and my brother will too. (in situations where there is trouble, my brother looks up to me, if im doing ok he will be fine and he knows that). So my mom asked me to ask him to move here so that we coudl both support her and each other. (my mom likes him) but then i owuld be asking him to uproot his life. from the place he lived for 20 years. from his family and his freinds and everything he knows. so i asked him if he would be WILLING to do so. He told me "Whatever i have to do to be with you". But now i feel like i am being selfish in asking him to do that. did i do the right thing in asking him to move here? please help i will rate all good answers as 5's. any smartass comments dont get rated!

In my opinion, you aren't being selfish at all. I'm sure he understands!! It is a good thing you want to stick with your family(not selfish!) ...Your boyfriend is incredible if he is willing to move to be with you. I hope your mom is okay.

You did the right thing. I think saying "I love you" after just a month is a bit much. Next time tell him how much you DO care about him but you don't want to say "I love you" just yet without being sure. My boyfriend and I didn't tell eachother "I love you" until six months into our relationship.

How can i lose weight?!i am 13 female and i weight around 154 pounds!! thats about 50 pounds more than what i want to weigh. any suggestions about how i can diet and exercise to lose like stomach fat or leg fat. how can i eat a better diet? i need to lose weight because i get picked on at school a lot and i dont want that to happen anymore. Well it all depends on your height and build. Take me for example...I am 145lbs and 5'5...and yeah thats alot for my height but I have big breast (D-cups) and hip bones. Going vegetarian works...but you have to stick to it. I work out first thing in the morning...its more effective for me. You DO NOT need to lose 50lbs...believe me its not attractive to be a stick to most guys. I hope this helps!

Honestly, guys tend to flirt and notice other girls MORE when they are taken by someone else. If he has a girlfriend you really shouldn't worry about it. You have got to look at it this way: how would you feel if you had a boyfriend and he kept treating other girls the way this "goth" kid is treating you?

I really like this older guy and he likes me. The age difference is quite big, he's in his mid 40's and I am 27.
We both like each other and have been on a couple of dates, but I'm worried about other people;s reaction to us.
For example, we had many raised eyebrows when we went out to a restaurant together. Someone asked me if he was my father!!
Also other friends of mine that have met him don't find him attractive and don't know what I see in him. I've always gone for guys with nice personalities than good looking guys who were jerks. So what if he's a little overweight and going grey?

My parents are 12 years apart. I don't see anything wrong with dating someone that much older than you if you are in your mid twentys. If you really like him..go ahead pursue your relationship. My parents have been together for twenty years and are still madly in love.

Last weekend, a guy asked me out at my birthday party - I don't know him very well, but he did help me set up the party with a bunch of other people, and from what I've heard, he's a good guy. So I asked for his number and said I'd call him, and I did, and I said no, and told him it was because we didn't know each other very well, and maybe over time something could happen - and I wasn't lying. Okay, so that was the end of that. Yesterday I saw him at a party and I sort of had nooo idea what to say. He came over and sat next to me and he is reallly, reallly nice...now I'm the kind of girl that always snorts at my friends when they talk about butterflies and being in love and stuff, because we're 15 and I dont think relationships at this age work all that well.

So I kind of don't know what to do, cause everytime I see him I dont know what to sayyy, like how to have a conversation with him, cause I've always been so skeptical about relationships. So, please help me cause I'm a little bit confused here. What do I say to him when I see him, like at parties or wherever? I always thought that I knew so much about all this relationship stuff but it turned out I dont (x_x).

I was 15 when I started dating my current boyfriend...(although he is two years older than myself...) I'm 16 going on 17 now...that just goes to show you relationships CAN work at this age. However you are right to wait to get to know him better...Devin and I took a month of talking on the phone everyday before we made it official. I use to be the same way about relationships. If you can talk to him for hours on end (on the phone and in person) than its definitely worth it...if not than maybe you just don't have enough in common. Hope you go ahead and give it a try!

what should i get peirced for my 18th birthday. i was thinkin nipples, i dont know why. It sounds like that would hurt more than some other places, though. I dont know..... how much do body peircing usually cost? anyone know?

I have my nipples pierced, it hurt but only when they first did it. The pain went away pretty quickly. (then again I also have piercings all up and down both my ears---I have a pretty high pain tolerance for that sorta thing) piercings like that can cost anywhere from 25-100$. (well thats in Richmond, Va) I'd say its definitely worth it

I wouldn't kiss a guy unless youre dating them. Unless you want to ruin your reputation. You're only a freshman and can lose respect from people quick if youre not careful (guys dont really like "skanks" and that includes kissing random ones even if its just kissing) Don't get me wrong I wasn't calling YOU a skank...you just shouldn't worry about kissing anyone until you find a nice boyfriend that really cares. As dumb as this may sound, I didn't actually realize how horrible it is, when you eat chicken & hamburgers. I didn't actually understand the concept that for me to eat a hamburger, is for an innocent cow to just die. My friend sent me an e-mail with a video about fur trade in China, and how dogs & cats are skinned and killed everyday just for fur. But, it got me to thinking how horrible that actually is. I really have been thinking about it today, and I think just eating hamburgers & chicken is disgusting especially knowing that an animal died for that. I'm really considering turning into a vegetarian. Do you believe that this is a good enough reason to want to turn vegetarian? Thanks so much. ♥

I've been a vegetarian for two years now. Its definitely worth it, you just need to make sure you get all the proper nutrients you're missing out on (protein bars and iron pills work great) I feel much healthier these days.

Ugh, you have no idea how fed up I am with periods.. I get depressed because I get them. Basically my question is, is there any chance that I can make the flow a little less and is there any way I get rid of periods by surgery?? By like removing the eggs or something.. Please help!! I just want to die.. grr

My periods use to be extremely painful also. I eventually asked my mom to go to the doctor because I would be close to tears from the pain. The doctor put me on birth control which limits your periods and makes them much less painful.

okay theres this guy. we'll call him fred. well ive had like one of those long unknown crushes on fred since i met him like back in 5th grade. but i haven't done anything. ive kept it to myslef ... tried likin other people. well i told him the other day i liked him. n he said he didnt know who he liked right now

Don't do that to yourself...Friends w/ benefits never works and majority of the time you end up regretting it. I've been there done that. Just think...how many other people hes been willing to mess around with. You don't need that. Good luck.

The best thing you can do for her is support her. Don't leave her for this--that will just make things worse. If you keep encouraging her to stop and telling her how much she means to you shell eventually listen...if that doesn't help then you need to get other people involved that she can directly talk to about it (people that have gone through the same thing) (I understand exactly what shes going through...)

Alright, Me and this guy were talking a lot and he told me he loved me and all that jazz. Then he started getting mad at me over stupid things and once I would explain myself he would be like alright. Then we got in this huge fight. And fought for a week. Then just yesterday he IMed me out of the blue. He said that he wanted to try the friends thing for now. I really like this kid, If I don't love him. I don't know what to do. He's always flirting with other girls and everything and I'm just like...wow. I really want to go out with him. But I know he would say no. I just wish he would like me.

I mean whenever he said he wanted to try the just friends thing for now part he sent me this poem/letter he wrote during the week we were mad at eachother and it made me cry. It basically said that he will always care about me and that sometimes he's stupid about things and wishes I would just over look them.

I dealt with a guy like this at one point...I wouldn't count him trustworthy if hes always all over other girls. And I know you have heard this a thousand times...most guys are jerks...It took me forever to find the boy I'm with now...try bringing up the subject to him...if he told you he loved you than he'd be willing to talk about it.
