o.k. i just don't know how to stop other girls from stepping all over me. i feel like they are always saying something about me. and they talk about how stupid i am. what is the matter with them. i feel like they want to nag me or play with my head.
First off, who are these girls? Are they your friends or just random girls that you know?
Because if they're your friends, then they don't seem to be doing too good a job of being friends. And if they are your friends, then maybe you should ask them why they're acting the way they are and saying those things. Let them know that it hurts you and you don't appreciate it. Also, find out if they're being serious or just joking around with you. But even if it's just a joke, let them know that it hurts.
Now, on the other hand, if these girls are not your friends, then I wouldn't let it bother you too much about what they say. Now I know that's easier said than done, but it's the best thing you could do. They probably just put you down because they're trying to cover up and make up for their own flaws and imperfections. And some girls do just get joy from playing with other people's heads. The best thing you can do is try to not let it phase you, or let them know that what they're saying isn't going to bring you down. Basically, just show off that you're self esteem can't be affected by their cruelness. It might make them realize how low their self esteem really is.
But I hope things work out for you, because girls can sometimes pull the cruelest stunts and say the meanest things. Keep me updated if things change or if not, and I'll be here to try and help you out as best I can =).

Hi, Im fifteen/female.
Im going for a haircut this week and I want something with a bit of an edge or something really different, but not wild.
My hair is fine and sooper slippery with some natural wave and I dont have time to shower in the morning, but I tend to sweat a lot in my sleep [gross!] so my roots are always a bit greasy. Ive heard of people using baby powder or dry shampoo, but wont that make your hair look really dull and powdery and weird? Thanks!

I think you'd be able to pull off that look very well, and it's not too big of a change from what you have now.
I sweat in my sleep too, so I know how annoying it can be to wake up with your hair greasy or frizzy (which is what it does in my case).
From my experience, the best shampoos I found to be are Suave (esp. with Biolage!) and Pantene Pro-V (the one I'm using now repairs any damages your hair may have and helps it to grow longer and stronger, plus it makes my hair feel super-soft and healthy). Hope that helps! =]

i'm in forensics (if you know what that is. if not, it's competitive public speaking and you go to competitions, or rather, tournaments), and i am in severe need of a nice suit. i know macys, and jcpenny, but where can i find a simple, plain black jacket & pants (i already have a skirt) that isn't very expensive? i'm not too familiar with price ranges, and i don't care much about quality as long as it doesn't go ripping on me. i just need a suit that i can wear for the next couple years (i'm a soon-to-be sophomore) until i go to college when i'll buy a real woman's suit. please do not suggest jcrew or gap cause although i fit in small-size women's suit, they're far more expensive because they are labelled as women's suits. any ideas?
Once again I agree with Annerszz_101, Charlotte Rousse and Wet Seal usually have nice, dressy and fashionable designs for good prices. I know you can find the pants there, and I'm sure one of which would have a nice black jacket. Plus since they're modern and fahionable, they'll be able to be worn again for any other dressy events as well :).

I agree with Annerszz_101, you didn't make the best decision in doing that, and you're treating this very lightly which you shouldn't be. I'm not sure of the exact risk, but you could definitley die from inhaling fumes. It could be something as non-threatening as a hair product or nail polish or remover, but that doesn't mean it's any less dangerous! HUFFING CAN KILL THE VERY FIRST TIME YOU EXPERIMENT WITH IT.

well,im at that age where i have to start looking at colleges and focus on what i want to do with my life.I'm honestly not 100% sure what i want to do yet,but i know i was to do something in the artsy,creative field.I like doing collages?(i think i spelled that right lol) you know cutting out photograhy pictures from magazines and putting them together on poster board things of that nature.I was thinking of doing magazine cover's since some are like that but i heard that's a graphic designer and being a graphic designer you have to problem solve,and problem solving isn't my thing.So i was wondering,what else do you think i could do that's similar to making collages and what not? thanks in advance :)
I would say possible advertising and art for commercials and what not. A lot of them have collages like that involved and I don't think you need to do problem solving.
But remember, you're just going into college. You don't need to choose any job now. Keep your options open and see what you like the best :D.

There's nothing wrong with you. And honey, you're only 13, there's no need to worry. I didn't get my first boyfriend until I was 18. If you don't let it bother you and don't think about it that much, then it won't be a problem. The right guy will come around eventually. Guys might not think you're ugly or anything like that, they might just see you as a "friend" over a girlfriend. Which sucks, but that will end. I'm sure you'll get a boyfriend soon enough, but I wouldn't worry too much about it now :].

ok so ill apologize now for how long it could get but idk what to do anymore. me and my friends Abby and Claire, weve all been best friends for about 4 years now. and then all of a sudden Claire wont talk to me and Abby.
how we thought it happened was because Claire had her own group of friends in her sporting event, soccor. and me and Abby wanted to try it and try out because we have a really small school so there really isnt much of a tryout. so we were going to practise over summer. well turns out Claire never wanted us to be on the team with her for some reason, even though weve been so supportive of all her sports shes ever done
Claire has always been a girl who if she can get someone to laugh then she does anything and everything, most of the time things shed get soo mad at if we did them to her. so me and Abby kinda talked to her about this, and we were really nice about it too.
then claire after that just stopped talking to us and now we all live pretty close so we meet up and hang out almost everyday. but we havent heard much of claire all summer. she said that we leave her alot when we hang out but the truth is, its always me or Abby the ones feeling left out, bc claire always seems to find a way to be the center of attention.
well we have another good friend who doesnt go to our school anymore her names Shelly and i guess her and Claire have been hanging out alot. Claire has now turned Shelly against us by i guess trash talking to everyone.
we dont know what to do because we miss her so much. this may seem like a lame situation but it really is bigger than it seems, and any advice would really help.
also in august me Abby and Claire were suppose to go to a concert and we have the tickets and everything but if Claire doesnt wanna go we also dont know what to do about that.

It sucks when a friend is willing to give up on their best friends like that. And it sucks even more when you're so close that you'd be willing to accept them back despite their flaws, but they're not making any effort to even be friends again. The only thing you can really do is try to talk to Claire. Find out why she didn't want you guys on the team with her, and let her know that that really hurt you and Abby. Also let her know that you feel that the friendship is too big to end and you really don't want to lose her like that.
It sucks when friends grow apart, and sometimes when people get new groups of friends they tend to forget about who their first friends were, or they just don't take the time or make the effort to remain committed to their original friends. It sucks, but it happens a lot in life. Usually over time though, so that's why it's weird for her to just drop you guys like that.
You mentioned Shelly and said Claire turned her against you guys. How do you know? Has she not been talking to you either or giving you an attitude? Because if there's anyway you can find out what's been said maybe you can understand why Claire has been acting the way she has, and maybe find an in to talk to her about it.
If this doesn't work or she just cuts you guys off and acts as if she doesn't care, then maybe it is time to realize that she's not worth it if she doesn't seem to think your friendship means anything. But hopefully that won't be the case, because I hate seeing any good friends lose touch that way. Hopefully everything will work out and I hope the best for you =).

Okay, so recently my family and I went on vacation to the beach and one night my parents and his dad were out at some dance club place and my sister was asleep in her room and so my cousin and I were laying on the pull out couch on our stomachs watching the TV. My cousin is an avid texter and so he was always texting but I noticed his foot started to touch mine really softly. At first I thought nothing of it and was like whatever, it's nothing. But then he would roll onto his back to text and go back to lying on his stomach and look back to where our feet were and then I would feel his foot on mine again. This happened a lot more than once too.
What does that mean if anything? + Should I ask him why he was doing that or let it be?
I wouldn't ask just yet, or even be to worried about it. As Hitoast said, it could be as simple as him not even realizing what his foot was touching and then looking back and seeing. And he might have continued just as a joke. Or it felt good, which could be weird but he might not have meant it like that.
However, if things like that arise more with him, or he continues that or does anything else strange, then I'd start to be concerned. Then you could let him know that it makes you feel uncomfortable and you'd appreciate it if he stopped. If he persists, then you might want to tell another trusting family member of the situation.

O.k. sorry if this takes a while, but there's sort of a lot to it. I'm sixteen female. I've liked my best friends brother for quite a while, maybe 2 years now, but in the past couple months, about the last 7 months I've Really liked him. It sounds petty but to be honest I've never liked a guy like this, ever. I always thought it was sort of stupid how girls become obsessed with a guy just because he's cute. But, it's not that. And I understand how they feel. Not to sound like a creepy stalker but he's seriously in so many of my dreams I can't help it. He's super quiet, but not in a wierd way, I know there's more to him.. he just has this way about him. He's never had a girl friend, and he's a year older than me. My best friend knows how much I like him.. well actually I don't know if she really knows, she always brushes it off because obviously it's wierd. But every time I get a chance I'll make casual jokes about it, and recently I've done it more and more.. actually.. about a million times in the past ten months. The thing is, I know we'd be perfect, if that didn't sound creepy, but whenever he sees me, which is really rare.. he gives me this smirk, that's really hot. Haha. Anyway, I never see him because when my best friend and I do something together it's usually not at her house but out somewhere, and if it is he's at work. We're both sort of quiet and don't talk to eachother much at all. He's not that type of guy really. So it would be really awkward to say something wierd about how much I like him to his face. And trust me, his sister doesn't want to hear it. So I guess I just want at least Something to happen by the end of the summer. And I know it takes time, but I've been waiting for about a year now, maybe longer. And it's all I can think of.. well sort of. I guess my question or questions is/are, how can I approach someone so quiet, yet really appealing, without it seeming wierd? How can I include him in something me and his sister are doing, without her protesting, and without it seeming odd? I think before you talk to him, you really have to talk to your friend first and make sure she knows and understands the situation. It's awkward for someone to watch their sibling date their best friend. She might be worried that you'll tell her things she doesn't really want to know about her brother, or she'll be concerned that if you guys break up (esp. on bad terms) she'll be stuck in the middle ground and won't know who to help. So first make sure that she is ok with it (she needs to be, she lives with him!) and that you can work out something where she either won't mind him being there, or that she won't be weirded out by you being with him. Also make sure you talk to her just in case there's a reason she doesn't want you with him. She's his sister, so she obviously knows more about him than you, and she might know something about him that you'd be turned off by, or that you should know before having a relationship with him. Also, be serious about the situation when you talk to her, and ease up on the jokes since those only make her uncomfortable anyway.
Now as for him, I know you want something to happen soon but sometimes things take time. Slow and steady wins the race =). But anyway, after you've cleared the air with his sister, maybe try making small talk with him everytime you see him. Just little things here and there to get to know more about him, and see if he shows signs of interest in you. Also, he'll see that you're interested (be subtle about it, not too overbearing) which will help. Then try going out with him and his sister, so he can see that she's ok with the situation, so he should be as well.

so im 18 and ive been shaving my legs since i was a youngin and im starting to get annoyed, because i remember the first few years i shaved my legs were always soooo smooth every time i would tell people like look i shaved and now i shave and it doesnt feel super smooth anymore and say i shaved right now by the time i woke up.. boom my legs would be kinda stubbly... any hints/tricks/tips?? greatly appreciated
That happens a lot with time.
The only thing I can recommend is making sure that each time you shave you have a new razor blade attached, or at the very least a newish one that has been barely used. Because if it's old or overused, it won't work as well and can really cut up your legs.
Also, you might want to consider maybe changing the type of razor you use. Sometimes certain ones after a while just stop working well. I used the intuition for a while and it was fine, but then I noticed that it just wasn't completely shaving my hair off. It would always leave stubble and I'd have to just shave it again the next day. It was so annoying.
I've found the Venus razor to be the best so far. No shaving cream is needed, and it leaves your legs VERY smooth for quite sometime. Maybe you'd be interested in checking it out & giving it a try =).

lately when ive been going to the bathroom or like in my underwear i see either big clumps of discharge or when im on the toilet its like long strings of thick discharge... what is it????
Does it have an odor? Or does it burn or itch or anything?
Because if you have any of those, you should go to a gynocologist and get it checked out because it could be a yeast infection.
But if you don't experience anything odd other than the discharge, then it's absolutely nothing to worry about. That's just a normal discharge. It's gross yea, but there's no cause for concern. Everyone (well, girls I mean) gets that. And sometimes it's worse if your underwear is tight and it's a hot day. The sweat mixes in with that and just makes it thicker. But it's completely normal.

sort of like a doughy smell, or something that reminds you of food.

Yikes! I would hesitate before doing that again. Doughy smells are usually a sign of yeast infection, but I'm not sure if guys are supposed to get that. But either way I'd steer clear of doing that. Maybe he just didn't clean well enough ? That's pretty bad though.
Just a question: is he circumsized? Because if not he could have what's known as smegma. It's a sort of gross cheese-like substance that has an odor that forms under the foreskin if not properly cleansed.
If hygiene isn't the issue, than maybe its caused by some sort of infection. How about the next time the situation arises, you ask him if he's ever been tested for STDs? Not saying it is one, but if you say that you'd feel more comfortable with him doing that then maybe he can find out if it is some sort of infection (maybe a UTI, but I'm not sure if any of them cause that) or let you know if he knows he has one. Because it's best that you know for many reasons.

Welll you don't really have to worry fashion-wise, because you'll be in uniform, lol. It's not that bad. I went to Catholic school for 14 yeards. Is the school you're going to all girls or co-ed ?

ok. well. this storry is really messed up.
in september i met gabe and i really liked him for like ever but i was too shy to talk to him.
so then my best friend was jsut like "ok ill become friends with him and get him to talk to you"
so i was like "whatever"
months later i still liked him
but then my best freind tells me that gabe kissed her.
so for about 2 months they were making out in cemetaries and giving and taking handjobs in the woods.

Well first of all, make sure you definitley know that Nika never had cancer before saying she didn't. Because to be accused of lying about an ailment when a person actually has one is one of the worst things to be accused of. Now, if you're correct and she actually didn't, then that's a horrible thing to lie about on her part. Even worse, to make you tell Gabe AFTER she pretty much stole him from you (or at least killed your chances with him). I know Nika may be your friend, but she's gotta straighten her act out. And it might be good to let her know that you don't like the way she's been acting.
As for Gabe, he's just not worth it. First off - do you really want to be with someone who's a drug and sex addict? Not the best for a relationship. Plus, it's obvious that he just got close to your friend and you so that he could get some from 2 girls. He was playing off both of your emotions for his own sexual gain. But at least he's out of the picture now and isn't cause for too much concern, and at least you got the chance to be with him for a little bit, so you can't feel as if you lost out.
Sometimes you need to experience something first hand with someone to realize they're not worth it. But I feel that Nika is more of the problem here than Gabe. You should probably confront her about her actions if she continues behaving the way she has been.
