YOU DON'T WANT PEOPLE TO LIKE YOU FOR WHAT YOU WEAR! BUT WHO YOU ARE!!!!!
it shouldn't matter what you're wearing. If you're only with people who are like that, frankly, you need new friends [ and guys ] who love you for YOU.
If it's a popularity thing... you're just putting yourself around fake people... Don't turn into one of those. No one can respect them! They're not acting or dressing the way they want.
My brother is a famous skateboarder in my city. I'm famous for being his younger sister. And I wear whatever I want... People still love me. Because I act and dress they way I want to.

I myself like any type of girl. I honestly don't judge looks as much as I do personality. If a girl is absolutely stunningly beautiful, but she's a bitch- why would I like her? What would our relationship be? What would we talk about? Her latest hair extensions? Yeah- that would be REALLY nice *Sarcasm: Party of one!*...
If a girl has a really nice personality- and she's really outgoing and sweet and nice and smart- and she's not necessarily the best looking girl- but she's not super unattractive- then I'll most likely want to date her over the beautiful bitch.
Do you get what I'm saying? If you let guys see your personality more than your looks- you'll end up with someone great. Trust me- most guys prefer personality over looks- they just don't know it yet =].
Wear what you want, what makes you comfortable, not what your friends want or what makes them feel comfortable. Be your own person ;]
Hayleexoxo answered Friday July 11 2008, 4:50 pm: I agree, in the long run, you dont want a guy who just cares about your looks.
but if youre young and having fun, looking cute doesnt hurt.
you pick which ever looks better on you. and whatever you feel more confiedent in.
But one thing I have noticed from scene girls, is you can wear americal eagle clothes while still being scene. [ Hayleexoxo's advice column | Ask Hayleexoxo A Question ]

Fist off, forget the guys that just go out with you because of the way you look.
You need a guy that doesn't care about that. If they don't like you because you're not preppy, then they're not worth it.
You other question, really just forget about all the labels when you go shopping. You see something you like, no matter what you think people will label you, buy it. It's what YOU like. You don't need to follow any label, just buy what you like and mix and match.
You happen to like preppy AND scene clothing? Mix and match with both. You don't have to follow one trend, in fact I advise that you DON'T follow one trend. They're just pointless labels, and they don't matter.
Just buy the clothing you like and feel comfortable in. Don't worry about what others will think. It's really about what you think. [ GhoulOnParade's advice column | Ask GhoulOnParade A Question ]

Wear what YOU want, and what YOU are comfortable in. Just because everyone else is shopping at Hollister doesn't mean you have to. If everybody else was going to jump in front of a train, would you follow that trend, too?
jealousyxo answered Friday July 11 2008, 2:52 pm: AH DON'T FOLLOW THE CROWD!
If you like scene clothes, wear scene clothes! don't change who you are to have a guy like you.I don't like shopping at hollister or A&F because everyone wears that stuff.I've had guys who usually went after the blonde, cheerleader, preppy type and went out with me,who was the complete opposite from them. And they told me that they liked me because i was different :) So wear what you want to wear, but don't do it because it's "in",and as long as your confident in yourself and love who you are, guys will see that. You want a guy to love you for you :)
