what kind of career would this be?

Question Posted Tuesday July 15 2008, 5:56 pm

well,im at that age where i have to start looking at colleges and focus on what i want to do with my life.I'm honestly not 100% sure what i want to do yet,but i know i was to do something in the artsy, creative field.I like doing collages?(i think i spelled that right lol) you know cutting out photograhy pictures from magazines and putting them together on poster board things of that nature.I was thinking of doing magazine cover's since some are like that but i heard that's a graphic designer and being a graphic designer you have to problem solve, and problem solving isn't my thing. So i was wondering, what else do you think i could do that's similar to making collages and what not? thanks in advance :)

I would say possible advertising and art for commercials and what not. A lot of them have collages like that involved and I don't think you need to do problem solving.

But remember, you're just going into college. You don't need to choose any job now. Keep your options open and see what you like the best :D.

have you ever thought about doing commercial art? it's like, putting stuff together for commercials. otherwise, being a magazine editor is along the same lines as graphic designer, because you could help edit the designs of the pages and columns.
