Does anyone know about record deals? Like does it cost money and like around how much? and like is it hard and do you need anything to get a record deal? (link)

A record deal gets you money, but you are then owned by the record label.
Are you perhaps wondering about just recording on your own in a studio? If so, yes, that costs money - some studios are painfully expensive, and won't cover the cost of burning & printing CD's/tapes that you make in the process there of. It may or may not include the costs of doing a mix-down on the tracks you record.

generally, they don't work. Many of the ones you see advertised on-line are being pawned by con-artists and scammers.

this is because the questions goes into the approval queue - and once it is approved, people can see it. Thus, I have approved this question, and now people can answer it.

What is with the topics? Every time I go to the "Advice Topics" page it takes me there and I choose a topic and all the questions are all mixed. I can't tell which is new or not. I know that they are being mixed because some are REALLY old. I don't like it because I'm going to that topic because it has new questions and I want to answer the new questions not the old ones. It's even the same on the "View Questions" page. I really would rather to have it back the normal way. Am I the only one that this happening too? please tell me if I'm not because then I will go to the admin.

I believe that this is because the site is still in "backlog" mode. While we needed to be in backlog mode for a while there, due to the approval process error, I think we might want to think about going back to the normal, chronologic listing, to make things a little easier to sort through.

okay, well me and my husband got married like almost a year ago. the problem is im ready to have kids, but he says he doesn't want to have kids..ever! i really love him, and we have so much in common and we always have fun together, but this is like the first thing we have disagreed on and i really don't no what to do. please help. Unfortunately, this is something you should have discussed before getting married. Some friends of mine just got divorced because of this issue - he wanted kids, she did not. He's now getting remarried to someone who shares his love of kids. My wife and I discussed kids long before we got married. We both knew that we wanted to have kids.
I wish you luck, as this is a hard thing to have a disagreement over. I hope that you can compromise and either consider waiting a little while to have kids, or that he changes his mind on the issue.

I know what you mean. It would be handy to not have to hit the back arrow/button to get to the questions, or go back to the entire question listing to return to a question after you've rated it. Probably wouldn't be too hard to implement (heh... we're making more work for spacefem ;) ). Hopefully she'll see this and add it to the "to-do" list.

hmm... undelete or a verifications of deletion button might not be a bad idea... deleted comments are still in the database, but with a flag set for them to not be shown... undeleting them should probalby not be hard to do.

Ok I have an advise column on here. I try my best to answer questions and i think i do pretty well from my ratings. But some people are being very cruel and sending me things that say stuff like: I have a problem, i cant stop thinking about __my name__.... and HOW I CANT GET HER OFF THIS PLANET. and stuff like that.. and they tell me how much they hate me!!!! WHAT DO I DO?!?! I dont want anyone to hate me or anyyyyything like that! I dont have bad feelings about anyone i know... i just dont understand why people would hate me!!! ahh (link)

sadly, you should probably just try your best to ignore them. At worst, copy links to their comments/quesions on here, and let people like me, GC, or or any of the other LII mods know - we can try to help. And don't be afraid to report really bad things to spacefem, as she has ultimate control on here.

First off, if you're a moderator of any level, you'll suddenly see new things, such as the abiltiy to rate questions. Next, if you have the ability to suspend users, delete questions, and approve questions, then you are a level II mod. Only the site admin is level III.

Well, first off, you should ask yourself what marriage means to you, and what level of commitment you really have to your husband. Do you have children - if so, think of the impact on them, as well.
Next, I would ask why you are having such feelings for this other man - is your current situation with your husband unfulfilling? Should you instead be concentrating on making that relationship stronger, rather than starting a new one? If you were to start this new one, how long do you think it would last if the relationship with your husband is already waning with no interest in saving it?
Likewise, could it just be that you're caught up in the newness of this new relationship? How long will the "magic" really last?

I think it is not so much a matter of answering questions right now as it is that there are no slots open for L2 mods. And I'm not sure exactly how many L3 mods there are at all... for all I know, there is only one Level 3, which is the site admin.
EDIT: heh... I go and say this, and lo-and-behold, we add some level 2 slots. Go figure... I bet she did that just to spite me ;)

Generally, Ferrari makes their non-formula-one cars because they can, and in terms of overall quality, while they look cool, they aren't that good of a car. Ferrari is in it to make top-notch race cars for the most part...
That said, I'd go with the Porsche, based mainly on Porsche's reliability and consistency compared to Ferrari.

What do need to cover? The physical addiction? Chemical addiction? The dangers of smoking? Stats on cancer risk? Emphysema? Athsma? Tobacco company marketing habits? Genetic manipulation of tobacco crops to increase nicotine content? There's a lot of things that one could cover with such a general topic.

do you mean the way there are only 10 questions displayed per page? I mean, there's no way you'd want all 300-some questions from some of the sectinos displayed all at once - it would take forever to load.
I've never had a section come up with no questions, though. Can you get a screen shot of that happening?
