Okay well i straighten my hair all the time..and its starting to be not so soft and it feels really dead. People say to just stop straightening my hair so much but i cant it is super frizzy and wavy and im super self concience about it and i hate it. Does anyone know products or even ways to straighen my hair so it wont get so burnt?

Before you spray, try getting Chi 44 Iron Guard. I sometimes straighten my hair, but when I do, I spray Chi all over my hair, and brush it out. Remember to brush it because if you don't, it will become hard and stuff. Then go ahead and straighten your hair. I use that spray stuff and it works really well. So, as we all know its getting close to Christmas, and im having troubles trying to figure out something to buy my boyfriend. I think that you should really just try to get to know him. Ask him for his screenname and just start talking to him. This is my best advice for you. Don't expect results as soon as possible. It may take awhile, but you can try.

I really like this boy at school. We're friend's and we have a few classes together. So, yesterday in math he was having trouble with his test review so he called me over using the index and middle finger on one hand cuz that's how he does it so I went over and I did the problem he was having trouble with and he was all 'man, that's all you have to do?' and I went back to my seat. As soon as I sat down he called me back over the same way and I did the next problem for him, but instead of sitting down again I asked if there was anything else, and then he said to me, and I quote "That depends. I think you handled it prefectly well. I would do the same exact thing. Even if he was joking, that was still a little rude. If he tries to say that it was a joke, just tell him that you were offended by it. I'm not saying that you have to apologize or anything, but don't have a grudge against him for a really long time. You know how perverted guys are..

You soak them in acetone [nail polish remover] for two hours. My mom has been doing fake nails for a really long time, and she just told me that.

my parents are soooooo sheltered all my friends are out every night partying (not drinking or anything bad just having some fun) but my parents all they want me to do is spend time with the family. its not that they dont trust me but they "miss me" when im out with my friends. im sorry they dont like when im gone but its ruining my social life. they dont let me go ANYWHERE!!!!!!! ill ask to go to the mall and they so now we are going out for a family meal or we are going to visit grandma. being with your family is good but i NEVER have a girls night out. im down to like no friends because everytime they ask me to hang out my parents wont let me because they cant share me. my friends dont spend anytime at home they are always out doing stuff and its the complete opposite. i havent had a friend over in years and i think ive had 2 sleepovers that werent family in my whole life. its just retarted. they arnt overprotective they just thing its too much work to drive me around and they will miss me if im gone. they are wasting my teenage years i wanna hang out with my friends but my parents always say now and theres no argueing with them. im spilling my heart out right now because im crying because my friend asked me to go golfing tonight but my parents complained they were tired and now they wont take me. my social life is ruined because of them. i have no fun. 30 years from now ill think about my teenage years and have no memories exept being with my family 24/7 and spending friday and saturday nights with my grandparents. my friends are out every night without me having a blast and nobody has any inside jokes or memories with me because i never hang out with them since my parents dont want to share me with anyone else. family is important but i see too much of them and never leave this house i wanna effing punch one of them. i swear if they say no to me one more time i will burst. ive hung out with my friends like maybe four times in 14 years. my whole life. i just dont get it. i want my parents to let me be out with my friends everynight and im sick of my family wasting and controlling my teenage years. how can i let them know that its time to loosen up and let me have some fun?

I know exactly what you mean. This is what had happened to my cousin, but she learned. The key thing that you have to try is compromise. Maybe try spending Sunday with your grandparents, but spend Friday and Saturday with your friends. Remember not to whine if they disagree. Ask them why they won't let you go out. Tell them that you love your family dearly, but you want to be able to hang out with your friends too.

Ok, so I am 13, and I still havent started my period yet. I know its coming up soon, but I dont know what to do about tampons. I am on the swim team, so I know that I will have to use them. All my friends have started and I know that they have figured out the "tampon deal" But, I just dont know how to insert or what. A bajillion people out there have already used these, and I need advice QUICK before time runs out. I dont want to talk to my mom because that is just a little awkward for me. Anyone got any advice???

I had the same problem when I got my period last year. [I'm 14]. It's quite easy. You can get any brand of tampons, but I reccomend Playtex, Tampax, or Kotex. Since you are a first time user, try looking for tampons made especially for you. I was also embarrased when I had to ask my mom on how to insert a tampon, but don't be. After she showed me, I was very comfortable and could easily do it right away. But here's how..

Lay on your bed or sit on the toilet, and spread your legs apart. Relax, and take off the wrapper from the tampon. [Make sure you wash your hands first] Then, with the plastic applicator, slowly insert it into your vagina. Hold the little rim at the bottom of the plastic applicator, and the end of the tampon, and push the part at the bottom up, so the plastic tube slides out. Put it in the trash, and you're done. :] If that sounds confusing, try looking for instructions on the outside of the box or look for the paper inside.

This is the one that I have. I have to say that is amazing. My hair is naturally straight, but it gets wavy and flipped at the ends, so I use it to straighten out my ends and it becomes pin straight. It only costs 20 dollars more, but I [personally] reccomend this one.

Like you said, you two have been dating for only a few weeks. She doesn't want to break up with you, she just wants you to slow down a little. Try talking to her and asking her what's wrong. Tell her that you've noticed that you guys have been moving a bit fast. Instead of making out with her all of the time [i'm not saying that you guys have to stop], try talking to her about how school is going for her and oher important things like that. See if she drops hints of her wanted to start making out or getting intimate.

i am 13 years old and in seventh grade (female)
all the girls in my grade wear eyeliner except for me. My mom won't let me. (i asked her one time over the summer) what can i say to her or do so that she will let me wear it?

I would say ask her one more time. If she says no, then say 'Okay, when do you think I can start wearing it?' Try to be reasonable, rational, and calm. Hun, you're still in 7th grade. Trust me. You do not need to be wearing makeup right now. You still have a whole lot of time ahead of you. That's my opinion. I wasn't allowed to wear eyeliner until the middle of 8th grade. Maybe if you guys walk by a makeup store, or Nordstroms, or Dillards, walk over to the makeup and start looking at it [especially at the eyeliner]. Maybe drop some hints. Like I said, ask her, but don't nag.

I am a 15 years old girl and I wear glasses. I really want to wear contacts. My parents told me that I couldn't have them. But they tend to be persuaded when great effort is put forth. If anyone could come up with some ideas or FACTS about the benefits of contacts it would be A BIG HELP!

Tell them that you would like a change from your glasses. Maybe ask if you can have a trial pair from your optometrist, and then maybe that can convince them if they want to buy contacts for however long you want them [6 months, 1 year, ect.] Tell them that you don't want to lose your glasses incase if anything happens, because you obviously can't lose contacts [they're in your eye]. So, for right now, just ask if you can have a trial pair, and see how it goes from there. I wear contacts, but at first I wore glasses for about a month before my mom bought contacts for me. She suggested the idea of contacts, because she knows how forgetful I am and how I could easily lose them.

ok im doin this art homework i hav and all i hav to do is draw 5 drawings with "value" in it. the problem is i don't get wat value is. my teacher showed me some examples of wat people drew and all i saw were people and faces but lookin in a sort of anime art style(with the really cool detailed eyes and hair)and i don't get wat value is. is it the shading or darkness of the color of somethin like that? any websites that have drawing like that might be helpful for me to understand and might help me come up wit an idea because im not really creative at all and i stink at art.
