I keep on getting this pop-up (it looks pretty official looking, but I'm afraid to click it just in case its spam).
Anyways, what it says is something along the lines of "You are not aware that when you visit porn sites things download themselves onto your computer. To delete these files press ok (recommended)."
I'll admit, I've visited a porn site before. And now I'm scared that I have a virus (which I do.. some sort of trojan or whatever) but I mean a virus that will make porn pop-ups appear on the screen all the time, which would not be good. Try explaining that to your parents.
I deleted my history and all the files I have downloaded.
Can anyone suggest something that will kill the virus and delete any of those things that have downloaded themselves onto my computer? And please be detailed and it has to be free.

No. Games don't work on laptops, unless you buy a laptop with a graphics card. Those are uncommon and expensive.
Even if you got the most powerful gaming laptop available, games would still not run very well on it.

Can anyone buy the syrup Ipecac? Or do you have to be eighteen or have a prescription or soemthing.

You don't need a prescription or ID, but it's not stocked everywhere and it'll be difficult to find. Also, some places might refuse to sell it to you; this is their choice and not the law.
Syrup of Ipecac is pretty useless. It's no longer recommended for poisons, and it is a mild poison itself. Extensive use of Ipecac could kill you.

I have an "8GB" 3rd G ipod nano, but on itunes it says it has 7.4 GB!
why does it have less memory than what the ipod says??

One GB is 1024MB. To save money, though, tech companies lie and say that one GB is *1000MB*. To most people, this makes more sense than 1024MB, so they get away with it.
Because of this, your iPod actually contains 8000MB, not 8192, which it should. 8000/1024=7.31, which will be rounded up to 7.4GB, the amount reported. All iPods have this problem, and it's caused by the greed of Apple, not a technical problem.

Does anybody nkow a website that shows how the presidential candidates are doing? Like which states they've won? I've been trying to follow it but then I got kinda sidetracked and so now I'm behind.
Primaries work different than the general election. The candidates don't "win a state". Here are the details of exactly how far ahead candidates are:

Here's a summary, though. For the democrats, Obama leads Hillary slightly. Obama will probably win, but it's not certain. For the republicans, McCain is ahead by far, with Huckabee in a far second place. McCain will win, unless there is some sort of scandal.
My opinion is that Obama vs. McCain would result in an Obama win. Hillary vs. McCain would be very close. McCain would probably win.

It's a drug used to treat Attention Deficit disorder and depression. When used on people who don't need it, it acts as a stimulant; it makes you think faster, feel more energized, and stay awake. However, extensive non-prescribed use will (ironically) cause ADD and depression.
Adderall is a powerful drug. In my opinion, it should never be prescribed to people unless all other alternatives have been tried. And prescriptions to minors should be incredibly rare.
If you take adderall often (without a doctor's recommendation), your life will be wonderful for about 2 years. It makes you better in a lot of ways; smarter, more charismatic, and more energetic. But after that, your life will be hell. You'll become immune to it and suffer serious withdrawal for the rest of your life. Many people have killed themselves after their adderall fun time was over.
Don't take adderall without a prescription, and if your doctor prescribes it without trying every other possible option, get a new doctor.

I bought a movie off of Itunes and it downloaded perfectly fine and all, but I thought I would be able to burn it onto a blank dvd disk too so I could watch it on my tv, instead of my computer... but I don't know how. I thought I read something in Itunes help that you _couldn't _ burn it onto a disk... Is that true? If not, how do I do it?
No, you can't. Everything bought off iTunes includes Digital Rights Management which prevents it.

What is a good way to learn about current events? Reading newspapers and magazines like Times and Newsweek don't seem to be helping me. Sometimes they use words I don't understand and basically I don't understand anything about politics so I guess I need to catch up on some background reading? Does anyone recommend anything? Or can give me a summary of what's up today?

Limewire won't connect to the internet [even though there is an internet connection]. I think they're a problem with my firewall! Is there any way to shut it off for a time? Or is there any way i can make my limewire work? Because i can't search any songs.

Don't listen to WittyUserNameHere. Firewalls are almost completely useless and limewire is not malware.
Go to start, run. Type:
firewall.cpl
Select "disable firewall". Don't worry, this doesn't affect your security much. Limewire should now work.
If limewire still doesn't work, it's a router issue. You'll need to contact the computer expert in your household to fix this. I can't explain it because I can't see your setup.

For christmas I got this external hardrive to put all my music and pics onto.
But my little brother likes to watch south park and whatnot on my laptop, and then he likes going through my folders.(and there, on my ext hard drive, I have some pictures that he really shouldn't see)
So Is there any way I could put a password on the hard drive so if you went on my Computer and try to open the harddrive, it would ask for a password?

Yes. Here is the uber-1337 way to do it, encrypting it in a way even the government couldn't crack.
Note that this method will *delete everything already on the drive*. You will need to take everything off it, and put it back on later.
Download and install truecrypt:
http://www.truecrypt.org/ (latest stable version for windows)
Open it. Go to "create volume", then "create a volume within a non-system partition/device", then "standard truecrypt volume".
Follow the instructions. I recommend either AES or AES-Serpent encryption with SHA-256 or RIPEMD.
Pick a good password, at least 20 characters in length for very sensitive data, and 8 characters to make it unbreakable for a normal person. You will not be able to recover it or anything on the drive if you forget it. It will all be lost forever.
Once you complete the volume creation process, the drive is ready to be used. To decrypt it, open TrueCrypt and "select device". Select your removable hard drive. Click "mount" and enter your password. If your password is correct, a new drive will appear in "my computer", this contains your decrypted data. The data is being decrypted on-the-fly by truecrypt. To unmount the drive, and make it inaccessible to anyone without a password, right click the truecrypt symbol in the system tray and select "dismount all mounted volumes".
You'll be able to open your encrypted drive from any computer. All you need is your removable hard drive, a Truecrypt installation, and your password. Truecrypt works on most versions of Windows, Linux, and Mac OSX.
After you've made your encrypted drive, don't touch anything on the drive without running truecrypt first. If you try to copy files to it, it will ask you if you want to format it. If you format the drive, all of your data will be deleted.

I just bought a Zune. Hooked it up, the computer recognized it was there, but, when I tried to install it, it is telling me that either my zune or my windows needs to be updated! It is Win XP. When I go into the device manager the Zune is just under "other devices" or something like that & both of them have an exclamation point beside them. Please help me if you can. Thankyou.
Open Internet Explorer and go to:

Click "custom" and then install all available updates under all categories.
If the updates require you to restart, if some updates fail, or if it installs a new version of Microsoft Update itself, then you need to do that again after you restart. Continue until you have no updates, or you have updates that don't require a restart/fail.
Then try the install again. You can find the most updated version of the zune software here:

That's normal. It's caused by the cold, and everyone experiences it. Breath in through your nose and out through your mouth, it'll help. Also, wear a scarf.
