I JUST turned 13 and i'm i'm around 5 foot 4 to 5 foot 5. Also I just weighed myself and i'm about 102 pounds. Do you think I can grow about 4 or 5 more inches before i'm like 20 so maybe I can be a model, maybe even before 20? Also, do you think i'm skinny enough? Please tell the absolute truth. ALso, my legs aren't STICK SKINNY. They aren't like chicken legs, but they aren't fat either. Do I need really skinny legs?

wait wait wait...you're only 13, so you're still growing. You can get taller by drinking milk and eating your veggies :) really...it's true.

I think you're skinny enough to be a model. Don't go losing all these pounds to be stick thin. Not all models look like they need to eat a hamburger to stay alive. Stay thin and healthy...Victoria's Secret models are normally and healthy thin-that's how you want to be. Trust me-you do not want to look like you're dying, it's NOT ATTRACTIVE at all.

I wear Victoria's Secret Very Sexy For Her 2 and it smells soo good. Plus it's $22 and has a lot of perfume inside of it. They sell it at Victoria's Secret (beauty section)

Also, some of my favs are Ralph Lauren Hot and Ralph Lauren cool and the perfume by Vera Wang and it's all like about $56 dollars. You can get these perfumes at Macy's, Nordstrom, or almost any department store.

I know it sounds silly, but how many item of clothing do you think I should have in my closet.

for example:
4 tank tops
10 cute screen tees
7 pairs of jeans

7 skirts

Well, in my closet I have mostly tees but I'm trying to balance out my clothing selections more so that I have an even number of things. Therefore I can mix and match different outfits.

Tanks-well I simply think that tanks are like one of the best clothing inventiond because you can wear them with anything, like tee shirts, hoodies, sweaters, layer it with another tank, or even by itself! A couple tanks are cool. Go for common colors that you can wear with a lot of stuff, such as white and brown. I also prefer pink and turquoise for a brighter and more vibrant feel when you want to spice your outfit up! I would say 3-5 would be good.

Tees-haha, you can never have too many tees! 10 is good for a start, and everytime you go to the mall you could by few by few. You can wear tee-shirts with a wide variety of clothes such as hoodies-again, blazers, with tanks, by itself, etc.

Jeans-well jeans are essential, end of story. lol. I think that you should definitely have dark blue jeans, medium blue jeans, and light blue jeans. This way, you can alternate different jeans with different tops just in case one shade or wash of your jeans doesn't cooperate with the rest of your outfit. You want to have simple jeans that don't have any unique design to them. On the other hand, you also could get 1 or 2 pairs of ripped and/or distressed jeans and maybe a pair of skinny jeans to keep from your closet feeling boring :) Also, jeans are amazing because you can wear them anytime of the year. I would say 4-6 jeans is perfect!

Shorts-Shorts are awesomely awesome because they're super cute and come in a wide range of styles. You want to make sure you have those jean shorts, like about 2 or so, shorts that are a little less casual, like the ones at hollister or abercrombie that are plaid or striped, and of course you need your active shorts when you're on chill mode. I like the idea of 2 jean shorts, 2 less casual shorts (the ones that I was talking about from hollister and abercrombie) and maybe like 2-3 active shorts. And let me not forget about the bermuda shorts! About 2-3 pairs of those of jeaned, white, or tan. So in total maybe about 8? Yeah, that sounds good.

Skirts-Personally, I am in love with mini skirts! You should get a pair of medium blue and light blue denim minis, a tan mini, and some ripped blue jeaned minis are essential . Also, to switch it up a bit, knee-length skirts are also very HOTT if you want to dress it up a bit more :) ok, so I would say about 3 denim minis, 1 tan mini, 1 plaid mini (look at www.ae.com) and 2 knee length minis which come up to 7 skirts!

Also, I would get a couple of basic necklace you could wear. 2 beaded necklaces, a silver chain, and pearls!!! Also, make sure you get a few earrings and some bracelets too! I highly suggest silver studs just because you can wear them with anything and they're nice. Having a good amount of tops is great, especially if you can accessorize with them well. Also, about 3 flats would be cool, as well as some sweater boots-I want the brown one sooo BAD! && some tights to throw it all together :)

Oh yeah! You should definitely get a headband (they have a lot at Forever 21!) and maybe some hairbows (the cutest ones that I saw were at Hot Topic).

I love hollister. Torn mini skirts with uggs and leg warmers and a cute sweater is my fave outfit. But a lot of people I dont pull off the "prep" look? Is that even possible? Ugh, and why do people even CARE what I wear..is it really their business to tell me what I should and should not wear.

They're just HATERS to the max! Dude, who cares what they say, you are you, and nothing else. Saying that you don't fit a certain style is sooooo shallow and ignorant that it's unbelievable. I shop at stores that have completely different stlyes and listen to almost all genres of music but I'm no poser! It just means that you're well rounded. Don't feed in to what other people say...vulnerability just shows weakness. You are you, no label, no tag, no nothing...just you! Well I was looking at your column, and I see that you are interested in fashion, so am I. Well Im going shopping saturday with 270 bucks. I wish I had 30 more to be more secure. But I cant.. well I dont know what my style really is..I like a mix of things.

I just want to know what stores should you suggest where I can get a good ammount of items.

The last time I went out shopping, I had $250 and still bought a lot of stuff. Before shopping, you have to have good money management, meaning that you have to have like an estimate about how much you want to spend in each store to balance it out. Make a list of the things that you really want like jeans, tees, totes, etc. You should also go on the store website to get an idea about what you want to buy. Here are some stores that I highly suggest!

Hollister Co.-very cute and nice clothes at good prices. It's ok if you've never shopped there before because it's totally chill there. They have a lot of clothes to pick from and at a good money range. Tees average from about $16-$20 depending on which types you get, and polos are usually $25. Also, totes are $30 and jeans are about $40. www.hollisterco.com

American Eagle-and ultimate deff! This store has really cute stuff at really affordable prices, and their flats are to die for! Tees are about $16, jeans from likr $25-$50 depending on the type, and they have lovely hoodies! I got one for $30. www.ae.com

Ok..I'm a redhead 15/F and i really like this guy. Well he seemed to be diggen me or whatever soo one night i texted to see if he wanted to do something tom. He texted me back and said he is not attracted to redheads and that if i like him more than that than its not gonna work because he doesnt like me. I was heart broken. I mean red hair is kind of rare and i mean im not ugly at all..and i dont have the pale skin like one either. I look a little different but still i have red hair. Personally, I think red hair is the most gorgeous color! Guys have their pet peaves. I mean, some guys like red hair and others don't. To me it's stupid to not be attractive to someone because of their hair color, but whatever, that's his BS and shallowness that I just don't get...and no, I'm not being bias- haha. It's just not his type I guess. Don't sweat it, there are plently of guys who think red heads are HOTT, just don't let his judgement bring you and your self esteem down :) I hope I helped!

*Clothing/Shoes: Polos, tee shirts, mini skirts, flip flops, birks (birkenstocks or clogs-they call them both the same names), hoodies, skinny jeans, ripped jeans, shorts, tote bags, purses, sunglasses, flats, stud earrings or small hoops, etc.

*Hair-Straight, curley, donut buns, messy buns, messy pontytails, french braids, and a ribbon in your hair.

*Make-up: Eyeliner on the bottom eyelid, some mascara, and clear or light colored lip gloss. Keep it nice & simple, too much make-up is not really attractive :)

*Personality: There's not really a personality to be preppy. Just act yourself and be nice, I mean, because you would be considered a POSER if you acted all ditzy and annoying just to act like someone else :)

In addition, you could try playing sports like Softball, lacrosse, soccer, volleyball, rugby, field hockey, swimming, etc. Not only do a lot of preppy people play them, but they're also really fun sports and you'll meet more friends that way. I mean, it's good and all that you want to be a prep-I have some of those characteristics too, but just be yourself, and not a fake-trust me, people will like you more if you act yourself. :)
