i'm getting braces tommarow and I was wondering what i should know about them. how much is it going to hurt and when does it start hurting and when does the pain stop? what helps make the pain stop hurting? and what are good color combinations for braces and what colors look bad? if you've had or have braces i need all the tips you know about the pain and what color to get and stuff! i heard you can get things like soccer balls on them, is that true? well when the orhtodontist put in my braces it hurt. well the molars did(bottom teeth)after when he put in the brackets it hurt, but you can handle it pretty well. The pain lasts prolly for about 3-4 days. if the braces start to scratch the inside of your mouth, your orthodontist will give you wax.
whatever color you choose will look nice EXCEPT for yellow.! don't ever use yellow.and, NO you can't GET SOCCER BALLS on them.

my best friends birthday is tomorrow [8/11] and shes having a pool party. im going, but theres going to be a lot of people there [boys too] and im embarrassed of going in the pool since im 14&wear a one piece. im just not comfortable in a 2 piece. I tried asking my friend to not make me go in the pool but she says I have to. Plus on top of that i look absolutley HIDEOUS in a bathing suit. My thighs are just...awful. Im a very shy person and i know ill be embarrassed beyond what i could imagine, since im not exactly skinny. what should I do?

So I have these two friends, Shelly and Gina. You see, when I hang out with Shelly and Gina separately, we have alot of fun and there's no problems. But, whenever I hang out with them together, like all 3 of us, i totally feel like the third wheel and they leave me out. They're always walking away without me, hugging each other, and telling each other they're each others` best friends. Sometimes it feels like they don't even know I'm there! For example, we were shopping at Old Navy awhile ago and they kept trying on the same things and telling each other what to wear, but when I said I was gonna try something on or I liked something, they either totally ignored me or walked away. Also, people always seem to associate them with each other and invite both of them to things, but not me. I'm pretty sure Shelly is doing it purposely, but Gina probably isn't. This is really making me feel bad. And it's not like I can move on and hang out with my other friends, or hang out with them separetely all the time, because i take dance with them 5 days a week and that means we're all together ALL year long. i was going to say confront them , but since you don't want that answer, make it seem like to both of them you feel hurt or leave them out.... you DON'T have to talk to them. after 3 days they'll question themselves and go up to you and ask you what's wrong..THEN that's the part where you tell them.

well i am moving to a new school. i mean these girls are beautiful and very mature. i made 3 new friends over AIM but they seem to be real sexually active. like they grind with boys, make out, and one girl even sticks her hand down boys pants! but i have never even kissed a boy and there are parties and stuff and i dont think i know how to grind or kiss or anything. if your around the age of 13yrs. to 16 i suggest you DON'T be like them. YES, it will be a temptation to follow them b/c "they're" everywhere but, you wouldn't want them to be calling you a slut now, would you? o.k. it's one thing to grind(not really a big deal) and it's a whole another CHAPTER to be "sex"ually active! being active can lead to unwanted things like "pregnancy" and things even worse like "STD's". so DON'T BE ACTIVE!!!!lol but uuhhh yea just be comfortable, don't make anyone pressure to do something you DON'T want to do!!!! and that sticking your hand down boys pants just makes me want to ~puke~. like seriously!! don't do that!!!! your probably a good person don't make your self a BAD one!!!!!

ok, well i have 2 brothers 1 of them is a twin with me and we share a room. The second one is always an asshole and never leaves me alone, my twin and I are about to lose our heads!!! GIRL, i know how you feel. i have an older brother too, and sumtimes,it can be a real BIG BIG problaymo.to start off, i think you should tell your parents that he is annoying you. if he doesn't get the message, then you & your twin should tell him how you feel. if he doesn't get THAT message. then just ignore him. after a while he'll see that his annoyance isn't working on you, then he'll quit it. and you and bor. can finally have some peace!!!

to start off with: if you can trust him NOT to hurt you again, then it'll be alright.
then you should invite him over to dinner. therefore, when your mom is there, she will be able to see how much he has changed and probably trust him again. if not, then explain to your mom how much he means to you ,and how much he's worth holding on to.

you can alwayz use the thing that you use for washing dishes. it's orange and very curly(not smooth). that WILL work. because i use it every time my iron is burned up. it's there because when your in the process of ironing or juz finished you burned your clothes. not like fire burn just too much water when trying to make look all NEATLY pressed.

don't shame on yourself everything will be just fine, it happens ALL the time.
to start off with, go up to him. tell it like it is, don't go soft on him and don't be too mean. just let him know how you feel about this whole thing.explain to him how you'd rather be "just friends" with him rather than an "item". he WILL understand b/c you guys been best friend for almost about 2-3 yrs.just alwayz remember that even though things ended up this way it's not the end of the road. it wasn't your fault that you felt uncomfortable in this realtionship-it just happens. that's what life is a non-stopping roller coaster that keeps on having twists~~ and turns:)

To begin with don't get overly excited over this boy, because chances are he might break your heart. i would go into my life story but that would take up about.... let's just say a long time. but anyways TRY ONE MORE TIME and schedule to see a movie or something you BOTH enjoy. HOPEFULLY he won't decline when he sees you asking him again. this may sound desperate , but it really isn't if you think about it.
