how can i pace myself better? i always get tired as soon as i start running! help!
Get a running partner. and start slow.
Running with someone will help you maintain a steady pace, and try to find someone who runs distance for maybe your school track team. cause they know how to keep a pace.
I think someone said get music to run to. That works. it really does.
What worked for me was, when I got tired I told myself that I would wait until I got past that object, then that one, and just small distances to push myself. you know. I was like "I can make it to the end of that fence." and when I got there "I still have energy, I can get to the gate" then "That corner is in my reach I'll get there"
Oh. and when You stop. dont just stop and collapse and rest. slow down, and keep walking for a bit to cool off and what not.
I hate it when girls look at me like a teddy bear and not dating material. Like they pat me on the hea and stuff. How do I make myself seem more mature or whatever
I too am small. and I get things like that from guys a lot, not so much the teddy bear look, but the little sister one. Just, be yourself, you know, don't let it get to you so much. Or if you're good at something, athletics, playing guitar/drums/something, singing, .. whatever, I don't want to say flaunt it, that wouldn't be good. but Make it known. Achieve something and let people know about it without Throwing it in their face every time you're talking to someone. Am I making sense? I hope I am.

sorry there are so many quesgtions.
okay so there is this girl in my health class and she just recently started this diet im not sure what its called but she is looseing alot of weight. she says just eats like 6 meals aday and there really healthy and she is also drinking protein.
my quesgtion is what is a good way to diet with planing healthy meals? and what are some examples of heathly meals that i could put together.
how should i drink protein?
is it true that i will gain weight from it?
how much should i drink ?
and are there any side effects?
if i am around 5'6 and 135 pounds how many calories, carbs and protein should i have a day ?
and please help me plan meals to keep me full and energized through out they day

If I were you, I wouldn't so much worry about that counting carbs and such. I'd watch them. You know, not eat too much of them.
and what this girl did is change from eating three "square meals" each day to eating six Small balanced meals. What this does is gives you a quickly digestable source of energy with proportioned amounts of nutrients. Normally, well I should say Traditionally, People would eat the same amount of nutrients but it would take longer to digest, and more of it would turn to fat to be used later. having less to digest means all of it can be used right away, hence less fat is made. this is the same concept as getting your stomach stapled (gastric bypass) except that makes it physically impossible to eat big meals. It forces you to have small meals like this. But it works.
about meals, I wouldn't directly know, but I'd say to get a healthy foods type cook book. It'll probably include things like drinking low fat milk, using a lot of vegies, especially squash or zuccini (yumm. If you havent tried it, do it, they're SO good. and taste good too.) and if you don't want a full meal you could have a piece of fruit or yogurt or something.

People in other countries, well the european ones at least (i.e. Sweeden, Italy, ...) Do cut themselves too. Some because they're mentally unstable, and others because they Think that the world hates them but in fact they're being overdramatic. Or just think its cool so they do it.
I've had friends who did things to that effect. but to stay away from it, all you have to do is think about its stupidity. and that it will only cause you more pain and leave scars.

I really want to wear it yet at the same time I don't want others laugh at me. Individuality is very important to me, but I want to be accepted too. What can I do?
I would say just wear them if you like them so much and IF anyone does make fun of you or laugh, just say they're not cool enough for clothes like yours.
A LOT of people at my school talk about how they always steal from hollister & abercrombie, all the time. they say they never get caught, i really don't think that it's a good idea, but i'm just wondering what are the chances of getting caught stealing at abercrombie or hollister, if you bring the clothes into the dressing room and rip off the tags and stuff them in your purse or whatever. thank you.

okay, so im 15, ill be 16 june 6. and im not that girly, i mean, i wear skirts and such, but im not girly, and i would really like to be. ill be driving soon. and i want to always look cute in my car. so i have a couple things i need help on.
shirts-i sweat, a lot. i tryed that stuff you put on your armpits, but it doesnt work that well. your only suppose to put it on a couple days then after that, youll be good for about a week, well i have to put it on everyday, and i still sweat. so is there any shirts, or anyway i can look cute, without worrying about sweat marks. since summer is coming, i dont have to wear shirt shirts, you know?.. but i also have pretty big boobs, and im not comfortable exposing them. i wear 36C.
Pants-i dont like wearing tight pants, i feel fat in them(even tho im pretty skinny) it makes me feel fat, so i dont wear them. i like cute, but loose jeans. i mostly weat hollister jeans, bc most of them are like that.
shoes-i mostly wear flip flops. i guess if wearing high heels would improve my look, i will do it. but im trying to kinda avoid that. haha
and last hair- i have pretty long hair, middle of my back. i have the bangs off to the side look, but i guess im just getting sick of how MINE look. i see really cute bang hairdos, but i dont know if i want bangs again. so if anyone can find cute hair looks also it would be greatly thanked.

hmm I dont know what to tell you about the sweating thing. People have said try cutting grease out of your diet but I dont know if that works or not. you can try though
and I also have larger bust/small frame. I'm a 34C (which is hell trying to find a bra at a decent price at the right size. cause all the less expensive ones are either 34B or 36C. but no 34C! GAH but thats another story.) anyway. I was saying. Kohls carries some real cute summer tops that aren't really revealing. And they have sales every week. so they're reasonably priced
Pants... idk. long shorts? they're pretty cool if you can pull'em off.
Shoes. stick with flip flops. they're comfy and they're cute.
and Hair. I am the hair master (not to brag) but I've had hair down to my belt, and thick as hell. but, I also went into a rut with that. It got too long to put in buns, so my selection of hair styles dropped pretty bad. so I cut it. I donated close to eighteen inches of hair. Its kind of drastic, but its a REALLY nice change. and there's a lot more you can do with short hair. not like boy cut short. but like to your chin. just long enough to put into a ponytail. I loved it. especially not having all that hair on my back during the summer. but whatever. I'm rambling. find something new and exciting to do with it and just go for it. whether that be cutting it, dying it, highlights/lowlights, ... mullet. whatever. lol jk about the last one

depending on where it is... If its a big name show, definately bring nothing but money and a phone. and make sure your jeans (yes wear jeans.) have pockets deep enough so that your phone/money won't fall out.
To wear. Jeans and a shirt, possibly hoodie if its outside and expected to be cold. but don't wear anything that requires constant pulling up. And .. I wouldn't do makeup before going to a show. maybe eyeliner/shadow. but thats it.
If its more of a local show (which I recommend because the people are typically friendlier and get along and whatnot) I'd have slightly more money just cause its safer.. kindof. not a lot safer but there's less people you know. Phone, and camera if you want it. unless security is tight. Idk around me they let you have cameras and such. but still the same with clothes. nothing high maintenence. and oh yeah. SNEAKERS. Sometimes you can get away with flats. but sneakers are your best bet. but also same with the makeup. just because most of the guys I've met at shows aren't looking for someone who's always wearing makeup and being semi-high maintenence. but thats just my experience. It might be different for you.
but anyway. Have fun and be safe. and oh yeah. if you plan on being by the mosh, expect to be tossed around a bit. I hate it when the pit rolls into girls that are all focused on how "cute the guitarist is" and then they give the dirtiest looks and rant for the entire night. Its so Catty. ugh (not saying that you are. I just .. I go on rants sometimes, ya know, nothing personal.)

I would say that its because you care for her. She's your best friend and you're obviously really close. It may not be that you're bi, if she's the only woman that you look at in a sexual way. I would just call it caring for her, wanting to keep her safe.
okay, I just read this article on anorexia, and now I'm worried I'm going anorexic!! I'm 5"9 and a half and 152 pounds, and I used to eat a lot but lately I've been cutting back so I can lose weight (I walk an hour every day).
I've cut my portions back by about half and instead of eating A LOT of high calorie stuff as snacks/etc i eat healthy low calorie stuff..but now I'm really anal about what i put into my body and etc..and sometimes I'll feel really dizzy inbetween 8 am and 11 am because i eat at 6am and dont have lunch till 11.
I don't even LOOK anorexic, so its not like I'm getting harrassed for it or anything..I'm just worried Im in danger of becoming one because i HATE way-too-skinny people, IMO they look sick and diseased, and I would hate to become anorexic, because in most cases that's losing control (i heard it can be genetic too) and i hate to lose control =P
i only want to lose weight till my BMI hits 19-20 (atm it's 22.4 according to some website), which would be when I'm 135-140 pounds.

No. you don't seem at risk for anorexia.
What you should do is instead of eating three meals a day, try inserting little snacks (apples, or celery and peanutbutter, some kind of fruit/veggie snack with or without a dip (ranch dressing, peanutbutter,honey...) and/or a juice (apple,orange,cranberry...)or even iced tea) between meals. like you said that you get dizzy around 8. If you're in class, ask your teacher if they mind if you eat. and if you explain that you get dizzy due to smaller breakfasts they should understand. If not than go to your doctor or a dietitian and have them write you a note.
On a side note about the dizziness, I had that happen to me, and what it turned out to be was a lack of iron. so if you try to increase that via vitamins, it could help you some.
but back to my point. having small meals more often gives your body a chance to digest everything you eat and convert it to energy as you need it soon rather than saving some as fat.
Okay im 14/f and my ex broke up with me like a year ago. but he was my very 1st kiss. and i still like him. even tho i have a new boyfriend. last weekend was my exboyfriends birthday. while i was using the restroom my best friend kissed him. and when i came back down they were all over each other. and im kinda mad at her. but the thing is...they arent dating..and i dont know why but my feelings for him got stronger because of that. so i guess my question is should i be mad at my best friend? and is it normal for the feelings to get stronger?

No you shouldn't get mad at her. You have a boyfriend of your own, and you can't control other people's lives. But Yes, feelings like that are normal, and they may get stronger, but just realize that, maybe she really likes him too. and it wouldn't be fair to her if you told her she couldn't go out with him. That would make you seem very controlling to her, and him too. They would both get mad at you for that. (Plus your boyfriend would get jealous and think that you don't have sincere feelings)
(I've been in a similar situation) Just be happy that they're happy, and realize that your boyfriend is happy to be with you, and be happy that you have him.
i get really big clots with my period. im already on ibuprofen and take 2 4 times a day to try and help. i use tampons and they just slip right past it but i cant use a higher tampon size because ive tried and it hurts and the clots still slip by. does anyone have anything to help me without having to go out or anything? and does drinking water help?? thanks in advance!! and im 14 and a virgin and i dont realy let my period affect my social life although it slows me down
first off, Ibuprofen, although it helps with pain, does not do much as far as bleeding is concerned.
the clots slipping by just means that you're a heavy bleeder, Someone said it before but using a pantyliner or small pad in addition to the tampon will save you a lot of worries. (but don't use it as an excuse to not change as often.)
If its really a killer for you, ask your mom to take you to the doctor and get birth control pills that lighten it. Even though you're not active, they'll help. They've helped quite a few of my friends.
(But make sure to explore all risks associated with each brand with your doctor to choose the right one)

and it also has to do with how big they are. you already heard that.
but they can also begin sagging if you lose weight aswell. Like if you start exercising and dieting, they'll get a little smaller (because they are made of fat mainly) but the skin is still as big. but that wouldn't be extremely drastic.
Ok when you excercise and your heart beats really fast then that's good but when you smoke your heart beats really fast but that's bad. Why?
Both make hearts beat fast I don't know why one is good and one is bad
They're different situations. the reason why your heart beats faster was already explained (not getting enough oxygen to vital organs) but Exercising only puts your heart rate up temporarily.
Smoking raises it and it stays at a high rate for longer periods. and your heart is struggling CONSTANTLY to get oxygen through your body, which stresses it out and puts you at risk for multiple problems
is it bad to eat a powerbar, but then you don't exercise afterwards? i usually exercise but if i were to eat one for lunch, then i just went out and ran errands, is that unhealthy?
Like the last person said, you shouldn't eat them too much. I wouldn't recommend eating them all the time and not exercising afterward... actually I wouldn't recommend eating them at all. I honestly don't see them as being helpful. I mean it gives you extra energy, but If you rely on them, then how would you build up your own energy/endurance? you know what I mean?
They'd become a bit of a crutch.
