need some tips on this one.
ok so on friday my friends and i want to get a little buzzed before going to a dance. we are each going to drink one bear. then my mom is going to drive us to the dance. is she going to be able to tell that we were drinking? (by the way we look, smell, or acting?) please don't say I am too young. and any other tips on this please share!

she probably won't be able to tell by the way you look or act unless you're a lightweight, but she may be able to smell it on your breath. one beer will not do much to you. but... if it's a school dance, you could get in serious trouble if anybody finds out you're buzzed. and i'm going to take a wild guess and say that you're a minor, so that would definitely not impress the cops. if you can have minimal contact with her, then it shouldn't matter much, but don't go up to her and breathe in her face or something. personally, i think it's a bad idea. but i'm not going to preach to you. just be careful about how you act around your mom. if it were my mom, she would definitely shoot me if she found out i had been drinking, which is why i don't drink. anyway, please be careful.

one beer won't do ANYTHING to you. it will just show up on your breath but as for feeling different, you'd have to ACT drunk because it won't even give you a good buzz unless you're about 75 pounds and 13 years old. seriously, you wont be different (unless you act like it on purpose like most people now).
don't drink before dances... 2 girls i know got arrested at a dance (they were drunkkkk) and that sucked for them. i'm not against drinking or whatever but just a warning from someone that's seen it.<3

me and my friends always go to the dance drunk. 1 beer isnt going to do anything to you though thats basically pointless. you should buy a bottle of smirnoff rasberry vodka. and take a few shots. thats what we do atleast and it makes you feel so good. and your able to control yourself. you'll know how to act infront of adults when you need to. hope i helped. and if your planning on drinking beer to feel a buzz you and your friends are going to need to drink atleast 4 a piece <3

First off. Stupid move. Seriously. Make sure you think about the possible outcomes. Your mom could catch you, the adults at the dance could catch you. Then you'd be in serious trouble. Also, drinking for the first time before a dance isn't a good idea. At least if you are experienced, you know what reactions you have to alcohol, and how much you can handle.
Now. One *Beer* really isn't that much alcohol. Different people can handle different amounts, but still, that's not too much. It might not affect you. But, if all goes according to plan, and you get just a little buzzed, you should still be pretty much in control of yourself. However, your balance and speech could be affected. It all depends on the person (this is why doing it for the first time isn't a good idea now). So, it's a good possibility that your mom will know. Especially since you will be nervous and acting weird. Mothers always know.
And besides, it won't be that much fun to go buzzed anyways. Sure it might be fun for a little while, but you will quickly come off of your buzz. Not only will you be tired, but you'll probably feel like shit.
Seriously, this isn't a good idea. Just make sure you think about what you are getting into before you do it.

I want to say sorry because I know I did something very inconsiderate... The word 'drink' just created this rush in me and I don't know why I gave you that horrible advice. I'm sorry. See, the thing is, I'm under therapy. I'm addicted to alcohol because I started drinking at an early age (6 ... don't ask) and it just got worse and worse. I don't want that to happen to you. I know what craving feels like and trust me hon, that's one feeling I don't want you to feel, ever. I don't want to confuse you with this. I understand that my rating will change and you might hate me forever for doing this, but I want to do my part. So here I am. I'm sorry.
Second thing, my advice. Even if you told your mother that the 'smell' is your perfume .. hon, she's your mother. She's not stupid, she knows you. She knows what you smell like. And having your friends there will just make things worse if you got caught. I know it's too late for this advice now and god knows what you drank and how it felt. I don't want to come to this site everytime thinking that I gave you the most harmful advice ever...You might see it as a "great help" but I see it as a criminal act.
I don't want to tell you not to drink or to drink socially ... In fact, I'm lost for words. I don't know what to give you as an advice. I guess 'don't lose control' and 'just because THEY'RE doing it doesn't mean that you have to do it too' will do for now. I hope my advice didn't make you do something bad =(. I know it's over, but in the future, please don't consider what I told you last time...Forget it, erase it, delete it from your memory card.

but you can get kicked out of the dance.

you cna get suspended, etc.

yesss especially if theres a lot of you. and if your mom doesn't notice then chaperones will definitely notice because i'm sure one of your friends will go off bragging about how they drank n' whatnot and then it gets around and before you know it your mom's up there grounding you. it sounds dramatic but it's incredibly predictable. baaad idea. rumors are going to be spread like crazy after that too. good luck.

but anyway, yeah, she'll be able to tell. no matter what you do. if you're going to be in a car with her, she'll find out.
also. stupid move. You don't need alcohol just to have a good time. And I'm not saying that because you're not supposed to tell kids how to get by with drinking. I'm saying that because its true. I've seen the bad side of the stuff, and its not worth it. You might say "one can's not gonna do that much" but thats the thing, next time you know that one won't do much so you drink more. eventually its a problem. but you've heard this before.
So I'm going to say that you should each drink three or four, then go. why? cause it's a good time.
