i am taking a sophomore course on th politics of information technologies.... interesting... BUT i slacked off a bit. tomorrows my final and i really need serious HELP. i am looking for book summaries for Manuel castells The Internet Galaxy and some darin Barny The Network Society.... i have no time to read those and i need to know key concepts... i've been cramming so far but every time i look at the book i feel drowsy help! i tried spark notes cliff notes pink monkey and gradesaver i seriously need help!

Okay, i moved about 3 months ago and i had to leave my best friend behind :(. When i left she was mad and slammed the door in my face, we worked out that whole argument and everything is good but we miss eachother terriably! I mentioned to her how my mom had to go back home(thats what i call it) next week and i might come with her she got excited and asked what day, i told her wednesday but really we're going on monday, i want to suprise her but i have no idea how to go about it. I'm hoping we'll get there before she gets home from school so i can sit on her steps with a sign or something. But do yall have any good ideas on how to suprise her? Keep in mind its been about 3 1/2 months since we've seen eachother. THANKS!!

Hmm...awesome books, btw. Anyway. I'd try a normal bookstore for the Warhol book - if the store's got a Fine Arts section or something, I'm sure you'll find it there. As for the other two books, try Virgin Megastores. The Chanel book is bound to be there, as for the Fresh Fruits, maybe not, but you'll find something similar maybe?
If you couldn't come across the books, try going to a public library or a university in your area that's got a big library and all. You can check out the book, photocopy it I guess, ask where they got it from etc.

mmk. i usedd to play neopets, but now i like hate it. but i have a TON of rare items. like a TON. i mean there not like million dollar items, but there cool, and there worth from like 4k-50k. and some probably even more.

i now play webkinz. and i was just wondering if anyone on here, wants to like trade, where they give me some cool stuff on webkinz, and ill give them my rare items [obviously webinz can be less value, because neopets is so much easier.] or, does anyone have any advicee on where i can find out with anyone who wants to trade?

Since i failed the 8th grade...im on the waiting list for summer school....do you think someone wont show and ill get it....i cant fail please give me advice im in the 8th grade by the way..is there anyone else out there who failed the 8th grade and turned out okay? Well when I was trying to resize my picture on adobe photoshop it said it cannot because there is no more room on the scratch disk.

What's a scratch disk anyway?

I exited and when I went back in it said to enter my scratch disk settings..had some settign and I had no idea what it meant so I just clicked OK. Then It said I can't go in because there are no scratch disks.

Please help

It's where you're basically saving your files.

Maybe your drive is full ... .psd files do take a lot of space. Flatten your works (if you're done with them) before saving them. They'll take less space that way.

Okay I've had the weirdest dream like.. ever. And I remember some parts about it.. so can someone interpret it? I forget what happened at the beginning.. but somehow me and my best friend (she was a really cool girl in the dream, but sadly i've never seen her before in my life. that has happened before.. my real friends are barely in my dreams, or maybe its because i always want to make more friends? like to get a neighbor who will be my best friend because i dont have you know.. one person that i know is my best friend.. just good friends) were in my house by myself. and there was a huge monster in there! we were hella scared. well it was my house but one part was really huge with a chandelier (near the enterance).. which is like my house but expanded. my bedroom was the same however. we were planning to kill it, since we couldn't escape. im mad that i forget alot of details.. but we also tried to hide.. we ran upstairs and she went in my room and i hesitated about going in the same place, but went there anyways. i first hid under the bed (my usual place for hiding during dreams when people are chasing me) then my friend left the room.. i think because she didnt want us to hide in the same place or something. anyways i hid in my dresser behind all the clothes.. i remember pushing the clothes infront of me so i couldn't be seen. then i heard my friend screaming my name to come downstairs.. i forget if she said my real name or my name in the dream.. anyways, i ran downstairs while grabbing some weapon.. i really forget what it was, but i broke some object in my house in half, and then ran up to the object and started to stab it. it then fell to the floor, and its weird because my object was not even that sharp. then somehow i had a cooking spoon and the monster was screaming "nooo!" as i pounded into its guts. my friend didnt want too look at all the guts coming out or kill it, so then i did.. i looked at it.. the cuts i made were even.. kinda like if it were a cartoon... they were all like.. ()

Suicide is not the answer. I know after reading all the previous answers, you're most likely to ignore this one. I'll try my best to help.

Just because things went wrong, doesn't mean that you can run away from it and kill yourself. Things go wrong everyday, and you know what? You can't stop it. You have to stay strong and face it. Hon, trust me...I've been through it. It was much worse with me. I was stuck in a country where bombs were dropping every five seconds and there was no way that I could leave the country, let alone leaving my own house! If you think I never thought about suicide then, you're wrong..I did. But I didn't do anything. Instead, I waited. I waited till something 'good' happened. That's when I escaped.

Be patient...give it some time. Time's the medicine for everything: period pain, braces, exams, everything.

You don't need a relationship to have a life. There's more to life than just love and kisses and hugs. Just wait and see. Things will come around.

Hey.

I dunno about free, but Photoshop is the best. You can Limewire it, I think. That'd be for free but illegal and ye..you decide.

The first pic: On photoshop. You play with the levels and contrast. This one has had a color filter added to it (orangish) and the highlight has been stressed (not the hair highlight, the pic's highlights in general). Playing with the curves also works. (these can be found under the tab "image" > "adjustmnents").

The second pic: On photoshop. It's the same thing as the first one. Except this one has more contrast and brightness and has been played with the levels.

The third pic: On photoshop. After playing with curves, levels and brightness/contrast, this pic has its mode changed to "TRITONE", and that is basically when you only have three colors in the pic. You can choose what colors: red, white, green - black, white, purple - or in this case, nude, white and dark brown.

Photoshop works miracles. If you have any more questions, let me know! I know everything about Photoshop since that's what I use every day for my homework (studying graphic design). So...if you want more, ask!

I think knowing alot about a families history is very immportant. but yet not alot of my relitives are around to talk to about that. i am very crouis about alot of things about my ansestors life and i really want to do some reasearch on them to find out more information and learn about them.

ive tried to google some, but it never gets me anywhere with out paying scam websites.

It's just amazing. They deliver you this package ($100 i think) where you take a sample of your saliva and mail it back to National Geog. They'll track down where your ancestors have been, where they've lived, etc. You're gonna find it so cool.
