okay, im 13/f and i really want to start using a tampon. I relaly hate pads. I tried last night i just couldnt do it. Is it going to hurt? how do i do it? im just so confused, if anyone could help me, please answer (link)
|
Using a tampon shouldn't hurt at all. When you have it in, you shouldn't be able to tell you even are on your period. You forget all about it.
Start of with the smallest size available - usually a "lite" or "junior." I still use juniors because I'm small and I have a lighter flow. No need for anything larger. In fact, it's worse if you use one that's too big. Stay small. :)
I've included a few websites with GREAT information on tampons - including how to use them.
http://www.youngwomenshealth.org/tampon.html

http://womenshealth.about.com/cs/menstruation/a/firstperiodqate.htm

There's really nothing scary about it.

Okay its me again.
I used Sonic Stage ( The provided software ) to download new songs onto my MP3 Player. However, it just downloaded the songs I already had and some of my brothers songs then it didn't have enough room for my new songs. I want to completley erase ALL OF THE FiLES on my MP3 currently and just go back and download all my songs that I actually wanted.
How do I do this? 5's are given to those who help. (link)
|
I have a Sony Bean MP3... maybe I can be of some assistance.
Attach your MP3 to your computer, and open Sonic Stage. It might tell you that you have X amount of songs that haven't been downloaded to the MP3 player, but are on the computer. That's what mine does, because I share a computer with my sisters, and they [sigh] download their CDs to the computer. If it asks, tell it No. Click on the button at the top that says Transfer [ATRAC .. not an Audio / MP3 CD]. This opens your whole library of music downloaded onto your computer. If you have downloaded CDs to your MP3, there'll be files with the album name [IE - Underoath, They're Only Chasing Safety] and you can click on the file that has the album / artist name on it and see all the songs that are on that CD.
At the bottom of the page, there's an X and a checkmark. If you want to delete a song or an album, click on the song / album in question, then click on the X. It'll ask you if you want to delete this? "Yes." Then "All data from [songhere] will be lost. Do you want to continue?" .. "Yes." Then it'll delete the song or album. It's slow... tedious... but I don't know another way.
I hope this has been of some help?

i just got a tampon in for 1st time. but it wont go in all the way, like a little less than half is out. also it hurts a tiny bit to walk and to sit straight up. i have to sit forever in school tomorrow. what to do? please help quickly and thanks!

Well... you may have put it in wrong... or you may be using one that is too big.
Your first tampon should probably be a "light" / "lite" / "junior" etc. Something really small. I still use juniors / lites because I'm really small. There's nothing wrong with that either.

Try running to the store and buying some smaller tampons. If you're already using small ones, take it out and try again - push it up further until you can't feel it at all. You'll know when it's in right, because there isn't any cotton still "outside" and you can't feel anything.

Ok i know it sounds totally weird because im so young (15 very soon) but my boyfriend wants to propose to me for my bday. Hes 17 and i know wont be able to get married for ages and so does he. I think hes still going to propose though. What should I do? We've been going out for 10 months. thanks xx
(Im female by the way...) (link)
|
Maybe you should talk to him about proposing next year on your sixteenth birthday. Then, if he's absolutely sure, and you're absolutely sure, you can say 'Yes.' You could say yes now, but honey, you've only been going out ten months.
My boyfriend and I have been going out for ten months (he's sixteen, I'm fourteen... fifteen and seventeen soon...) and we haven't even kissed.
He and I know that we love each other, and we want to always love each other; and know that we're right for each other... but we're so young. I want to go to school - and I want him to go to school. I am very interested in Forensic Pathology, and he's interested in Engineering. I want him to be able to fulfill all of his dreams, and be comfortable. I want him to have a job he likes, not one he hates. I want him to be able to have a car that works, and a nice house, so when we have children, we don't have to worry about anything other than going into labor at 2AM. ;)
Are your parents okay with you getting engaged? Are his parents okay with it? They need to know, and you need to ask them. Actually... I think your boyfriend should ask them for permission to marry you. But that's just me...
It would hurt so much worse if you were to have to break up with him if you're engaged than if you were just dating. Yes, it would STILL hurt badly, but even more so if you were engaged.
Plus, who knows... you might grow some more, and outgrow that beautiful ring... [that is, if you get one].
I think it would be best to wait until your sixteenth birthday, at least.
Have you and he talked about career options? Living arrangements? When do you plan on getting married? What about kids? A house? Cars?
That is very important to discuss so you aren't stuck in a rut.
You'll want him to go to college. Trust me. You don't want him to be pinning pricetags to clothes at a dry-cleaners, or flipping burgers, or bagging groceries all his life. If so, you'd have to work too. And if you didn't go to college, you would probably have about the same job as him. And you'd still be pinching pennies.
Just a warning... I'm not trying to say that you shouldn't marry him. Just consider everything - age, job, house, car, family, wedding, parents etc. etc. before you make your final decision.

|
You most likely have depression. It's common; most teenagers are depressed at least once in their lives.
If you're having suicidal thoughts, talk to your school nurse / school counselor - they can help get everything taken care of. Talk to your mom/dad and get an appointment for a doctor set up. A doctor can easily tell you if you're depressed or not, and if you need to take anti-depressants.
I seriously think you should see a doctor. Now, I hate doctors... I hate going to doctors... but that's going to be best for you. For your mental and physical health.

I am racially Jewish.
As far as my faith goes? I'm not quite sure. I was raised thinking Jesus is the true Messiah, not not worshiping him, per say. My father's side of the family has a lot of Jewish traditions woven in with Catholic ones.
I think Christians worship Jesus INSTEAD of God, and I don't think that's right.
I DO NOT want to be a Jew for Jesus. I'm sorry, I'm not praying in a highschool gym. Its not going to happen. I've prayed in both churches and synagogues, because I just say, "Hey, its the same God, right?"
But the way of worshiping Him is quite different. I have no idea who I am, where I fit, or where I should go to pray. (link)
|
As a Christian, I think that God and Jesus are Father and Son, if you worship the Father, you are worshiping the Son, and if you worship the Son, you are worshiping the Fahter. But that's just how I see it.
You don't have to be a Jew for Jesus. I think that's totally the wrong approach. If you go at it like that, people are just annoyed at you and think you're some sort of religious freak, and thus ignore and mock you for the rest of your life. Actually... Matthew 6:5-8 says :
"And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. I tell you the truth, they have recieved their reward in full. But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. then you Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. And when you pray, do not keep babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask Him."
I believe it's the same God. Christians, catholics, Jews alike worship the same God. You don't have to pray in either church. You can pray wherever, whenever, you good and well want.
I'm sure you're already familiar with the religions, but in case you wanted to read some more...

Just had to ask, are you a fan of horse racing or did you come up with that name on your own?
Gabriel
P.S. If you like Skillet try The Insiderz, although you probably already heard of them I know many people still haven't. (link)
|
Gabriel,
Well I'm not really a fan of horse racing... the drugging, lying, cheating, betting, whipping, pushing, and slaughtering... but I love horses. And FunnyCide appealed to me because of his unique breeding lines and the fact that he was strong and almost won the Triple Crown.
Actually, I despise horse racing. And dog racing. I don't know which I despise more. They drug the horses, beat them, then slaughter them if they don't win; and for the dogs they're starved to death and forced to chase a plastic rabbit and if they don't win they are slaughtered. Equally horrendous.
I have heard of The Insyderz, and I have some of their music on my MP3 player.. though I don't have their CDs.

Hey. Is it true that guys won't have sex with girls if the don't shave their vaginas? (link)
|
No, it isn't true. Some guys might prefer clean-shaven girls, others don't care.
They shouldn't really be so picky...
It isn't true. It is all the guy's opinion.
You shouldn't feel pressured to shave if you don't want to. It is YOUR body; you need to be comfortable with it - with hair, or without. It should be your choice. Not the guy's.

does anyone know where i can find cowboy boots? (link)
|
I don't know about "trendy" stores... but I'm a horse person. I know all about boots.
If you live anywhere near Birmingham, Alabama, Massey's Corral is THE place to go.
http://www.masseyscorral.com/
They don't have online purchasing, I don't think...
State Line tack is AWESOME. You can buy online. The site is a little confusing, but boots are there.
http://www.statelinetack.com/slt/main.jsp
Click on "Western" at the top; then on the left there'll be a panal that shows all sorts of things. Find the one that says "Footwear and socks." It's the sixth from the top. Look in the women's, kid's, and men's sections too - you never know what you'll find.
Sites dedicated to boots : http://www.bootcity.com/
http://www.bootbarn.com/
Jeffers Equine is awesome. There's a scroll panal thing on the left side of the page, click on the third link from the top - Apparal and accessories. That'll take you to some boots.
http://www.jeffersequine.com/ssc/
You can probably find them at such places like Wal-Mart, Target, Kohls, JCPennys or something... I wouldn't know. I've never bought boots to just have them. I've always bought them to be safe and ride in them. -shrug-

Lucee,
If you mean Adviceantors, we already have a chat room. Under "Get Advice." It's the last link - it just says "Chat room."
If you didn't mean Advicenators... there are a lot of places that you can find free chatrooms, or add a chatroom to your own site.

You said that you like to dye your hair funky colors because your school won't get mad, but then you said that you're homeschooled. How can that be? (link)
|
My homeschool group is lenient with such things. I'm not the only kid who dyes her hair unnatural colors. I was one of the first to do it, but not the only one.
My homeschool group isn't a classroom setting. My mom is my teacher, my sisters are my classmates. The only things I do with the whole homeschool group are SATs, PSATS, theater and dance class.
The only rules that the homeschool group really has is modesty - no bellies showing, no shorts above the knee, no miniskirts etc. Some things aren't allowed, such as shirts that advertise alcohol or have suggestive sayings (ie - "Conserve water, shower with a friend") but most other things are perfectly acceptable.

is it bad if you break your hymen or whatever? i wear a tampon and...? is it serious? do you go to the hospital? could it happen to me? please help im confused! (link)
|
No, it isn't serious. When you break - or tear - your hymen, it is normal. Though you might feel some slight discomfort (sortof like if you had a small papercut on your finger) but not always.
Sometimes when you insert a tampon, your hymen breaks. This doesn't mean you're not a virgin, it doesn't mean you should go to the hospital. All it means is there is a small piece of skin that has been "torn," "broken," "popped." It is a normal process.
There are many ways for your hymen to be torn. It can be torn from bike riding, horseback riding, falling down the wrong way, inserting a tampon, being fingered, having sex, masturbating, and many, many others.
I tore mine when I was twelve. I was riding a horse and almost fell off. No big deal. It bleeds a teeney-tiny bit. Like... almost nothing. It's no big deal.

is it true tampons make your cherry pop? and does it mean you're not a not a virgin anymore? (link)
|
Sometimes it will make your "cherry pop," but it doesn't mean you're not a virgin. I'm 100% virgin - never even kissed a boy, much less had sexual intercourse with one, but my hymen ["cherry"] burst while I was riding a horse when I was 12. You're only not a virgin if you have sex.

does eating fruit make u fat? since its just like, putting more food into your body? (link)
|
No, fruit alone does not make you fat. If you eat fruit, combined with a lack of exercise and an imbalanced diet of junky foods as well, you would become heavy.
Fruit has a lot of good sugars and energy that makes you full, and doesn't have a lot of fat in it, and it gives you energy.
Yes, it's putting food into your body, but there are some fruits and veggies that, if eaten alone, burn more calories chewing them than it actually does when they go into your body.

Hey! I'm a 14/f. I got my period(or so I think it was) about 1 and 1/2 months ago. But it hasn't come back since then. Is this irregular? Isn't it supposed 2 happen the same time every month! I don't know cause I'm kinda new at this whole thing. Plus when I had my period it was brown....like the blood and everything was brown not red. I'm pretty sure it was my period but I could be wrong I guess. Can any one please help me! I'm worried its not gunna come back. Much luv xoxoxo (link)
|
It's normal for you to have a really short and light first period. Also, it's going to be irregular for another 2-4 years, sometimes more. I have an almost-fifteen-year-old friend who's had her period since she was eleven, and in December, she missed her period. When you're first starting out, there's no way of predicting when it will show up. If you remember the days that you had it a month and a half ago, be especially aware on those days (and a few days before that) in case you might get it.
For instance, if you got your period on the 18-23, keep pads and tampons with you, and be "watching" for it.
It's perfectly normal to be irregular. When I first got mine, I had it for two months, skipped a month, had it again, skipped a month, etc. etc.
Your body is still young, it takes a while to get into the regular cycle.
Keep tampons / pads, clean underwear and an extra pair of pants with you at school, in case you are caught unaware.
It is supposed to happen every month, but it'll be irregular first. When you're probably between the ages of 16 and 18, your period will become perfectly regular. It will be the exact same every single time. It will last the same number of days, be the same flow (heavy / light) and you will experience the same amount of cramps and PMS and food cravings.
