you probably didnt insert it correctly, because if this is done properly then you wouldnt even know its in there . using the juniour or lites might be a better way to start out because theyre smaller . worst comes to worst, if it still doesnt work then a pad might be what you would want to go ahead with because of all that sitting .
xoo hope this helps !! ♥ ]
Well... you may have put it in wrong... or you may be using one that is too big.
Your first tampon should probably be a "light" / "lite" / "junior" etc. Something really small. I still use juniors / lites because I'm really small. There's nothing wrong with that either.

Try running to the store and buying some smaller tampons. If you're already using small ones, take it out and try again - push it up further until you can't feel it at all. You'll know when it's in right, because there isn't any cotton still "outside" and you can't feel anything.

Im no expert or anything...however my mother prevented my sisters from using tampoons until they were old enough...Another suggestion that would most definetely help you out with your problem, is to use maxi pads. no pain there. ]
The reason it hurts is because you probablly put it in wrong. Go to this website. It will tell you how to put it in right, but it's nothing gross.
