Every year our school has this "End of the Year Award Ceremony" thing, where you get awards for certain things from throughout the year, and some people perform. I am one of those people. My friend is playing the piano and I'm singing to Amazing Grace. I am so nervous!! My name is Jack and I'm 22. Sorry if this is long but I really need the help. I recently found out that I have a 15 year old half sister named sarah. I've been searching for her for a long time and I finally found her. Well when I first saw her I noticed that she had scars on her arms that I think were from cutting herself. The more I talked to her the more I noticed something was wrong. At first she wasn't saying much I figured that was normal I mean she had never met me before and she had just found out that I was her half brother. I've been seeing her everyday for about 2 weeks now and she still seems really nervous like she's almost afriad to get to know me. I've also been trying to meet my father but evertime I go to see him she comes to the door and says he's not home even though his car is there. I asked to meet her mom and she said that she wasn't home either. This goes everynight. Well this afternoon I stopped by without calling first so sarah didn't know I was coming I wanted to surprise her. I heard yelling so I tried to see what was going on but the door was locked. I stood there for 5 minutes before my sarah came to the door. She looked like she was limping and seemed to be in pain. She said that she was going to a friends house so she couldn't go with me today. I asked about her parents again and again they weren't home. Well after she left I went in the house I saw that my father was drunk and her mother was too. I think they could be abusing but I just don't understand why she would hide it. I'm really worried about her. She's a really nice kid and I don't know what to do. I'm beginning to form a relationship with my sister and I don't want to ruin that. Getting to know my father isn't that important to me right now because I've found something better. What should I do to make sure that suspicions are correct? and don't say talk to her because she won't tell me. Also if she is being abused would it be a good idea to turn her parents in even if she doesn't want me to? I'm thinking about asking her to come live with me but I don't know much about 15 year old girls. Would having her move in with me be a good idear or are there other options that will be better for her?

ok i go to the doctor soon to get my physical and im really nervous because im going to be on my period! well i think so because i just started a heavy discharge today (i think it was today) and it usually lasts abuot 10 days then i get my period the day after and im going to be on it at the doctor and when she asks when my last period was can i just say 3 weeks ago?? because the time that im going to be there my one before the one im on would be 3 weeks ago..also what other questions do they ask you about your period if your a 14 year old girl who started at the end of july 2004? please help im nervous! i have a really bad blister on my foot/back ankle from my work shoes and i dont have money to get new ones, is there something i can put on my ankle to make the blister better, i have a bandaid on it but it still hurts. also, the place it gave me a blisterright above my heel were the top, back of the shoe usually rubs. is there anything i can put there to keep from getting the blisters because i have to wear short socks and i walk all day so a lot of time they fall or i just dont have time to make sure my sock is over the area....is there anything i can do? I know is a weird question but i walk all day at work and these are very bad blisters!!

My husband and I were born, raised and married in Italy. We moved to Houston, TX together in 1994 and had our daughter in 1996. She currently goes to a multi-cultural school where she has befriended many Bosnian girls. I never gave a second thought to the fact that the majority of her friends are Bosnian. Well, not until this morning. She came up to me and told me that she loves Bosnia and wishes she was Bosnian.
Now, don't get me wrong, I have nothing against the people, country, or culture. I adore being around her friends and their parents. I just fear that my child is losing her Italian background. How can I get her excited about the Italian culture again?

A friend of mine has his girlfriend's birthday all planned out. Well, almost. There is one point where he doesn't know what he's going to do. This is what he has so far:
Wake her up a 7:30 in the morning; give her 30 seconds to grab anything she needs then take her out to breakfast. After breakfast he's going to take her back home so she can get cleaned up, take a shower, and all that good stuff. Breakfast will probably take an hour so she should be ready by 11am. Then, he doesn't know where he's going to take her. But, at 5pm or 6pm he's taking her to an early dinner where he's giving her her gift. After dinner, at 7pm he's taking her to his fav. local band's show who she's gotten pretty interested in. After their show, him and his band are going on stage and sing her 2 fav. songs to her; Vindicated by Dashboard and Hanging by a moment by Life house. All of that should be over at about 10 or 10:30pm. When it's over, he'll take her to her house where all her friends are waiting for her. We’re gonna party it up through the rest of the night and may be a lil into the morning ;).
But anyway, he still needs to figure out what he's going to do with her from 11am to 5 pm. That's about 6 hours lol. I want to tell him to take her to an amusement park but I don't know if 6 hours will be enough for that. Any suggestions? (link)

6 hours... Shopping, maybe vist family!!! Or go to the longest movie away and the farther the better! Maybe go on a walk through the park... Amusement Park? that would work go to a nice one an hour away or so! lol go for it your a great friend!!!!

Yes, at first its hard but after a while it looses quicker and faster.
My dad did the carb thing and it was slow for the first 6 months but after that he was loosing like a pound a day (thats not too healthy though)
