There are two kinds of carbs simple and complex. You should cut out more of your simple carbs like white bread, or the carbs that contain sugar. Wheat bread and a whole grain cerial are great they stay with you but dont stay on you if you get what i am saying(give you tons of energy). Also granola, trail mix and wheat pasta are good too. Make sure you dont forget your vitamins that come from your fruit and vegitables. O and yogert and milk is great too it burns your fat between meals! Cutting out all carbs is BAD you will have nothing too keep you going during the day you will eventually burn out. Follow these tips along with light exersise and you will see a difference

Daisy answered Sunday May 22 2005, 7:16 am: the best tip about losing weight is not just cutting things out, but changing what you eat. By all means cut out white bread, pasta and potatoes but instead, opt for wholemeal bread and wholemeal pasta and in smaller quantities. Try and eat 5 portions of fruit and veg a day and drink 2 litres of water. Also, when it comes to dinner time, try and eat by 7.30 pm and not to have carbs in that meal - so go for chicken or fish and loads of vegetables or something. Hope this helps a little [ Daisy's advice column | Ask Daisy A Question ]
Mackenzie answered Sunday May 22 2005, 3:48 am: Well pRoviding you cut out white bRead and soda... [is you'Re used to consuming A LOT of it] you can see a diffeRence the fiRst two weeks. Seems bizaRRe, but my fRiend did it.. and we weRe both shocked to all hell! But of couRse weight loss takes time.... you just have to stay committed, and have the dRive to keep it up. TRy to keep youRself busy... and sleep as often as possible... these things keep youR mind busy and off food. I can't Really say how long it will take; I suppose that diffeRs fRom peRson to peRson. It Really just depends on how much weight you'Re looking to shed. I'd say you could lose 10 to 20 pounds in a month; that's veRy possible. Goodluck to you!! I wish you the best!! Hopefully I've been of some sort of help heRe!! =D [ Mackenzie's advice column | Ask Mackenzie A Question ]
