Hey! First off, i'm going to start by saying I came here on this site to give people advice. Some people actually don't know the real meaning of advice. They think its the answers they want to hear. But i'm not here for that. I'll give you advice, and it might be something you don't want to hear. But deal with it! You may take my advice or not, its completely up to you and you are not gaurnteed a correct solution.

Ok so now that's clear, I'll talk to you more about myself. Hence the username... I play volleyball. It is my passion and basically my life since I've played for about 7 years. Most of my friends say i'm 50/50 tomboy and girly girl. I LOVE sports!! I play volleyball all year round, and then I go to the park during free times to play some soccer, football, hockey, basketball or baseball with my friends. But then again, I could be inside trying on my new Sephora makeup i'd just gotten, or reading the latest Seventeen magazine or even arranging my clothes for school tomorrow.

You can ask me just about anything and i'll be happy to answer it. You can count on a full and detailed answer.

Oh and another thing... I love getting feedback! Even if its a negative comment. It tells me what I need to work on or even what I did correct.

I have a cold right now. It isn`t too bad, but my nose runs alot and I cough like crazy.
Tomorow school starts again, (because I was hoping I would be better by then time the weekend was over)
Anyways, I`m not really sure if I should miss school, because it isn`t anything too serious, and I would fall behind in school.
AND >>> I have field hockey every day after school for two hours, and so I don`t know what to do about that.

Well... one time that happend to me. I had a cold and it wasn't too bad, I had school the next day and an important volleyball practice too. So what I did was wake up and if I felt good, i'd go to school... but if I still felt really sick, i'd skip it. Now if you go to school... at the end of the day do the same thing. How do you feel at the end of the school day? If you feel sick like you can't practice, then just ride the bus home. But if you feel like you can handle the practice. you can go there.

Last Saturday this boy gave me his phone number. Its now a week later and I finally decided I want to call him (after a week of trying to get over my shyness lol) but I'm not sure if its still appropriate since its a week later. Is it too late?

Not as long as you tell him the reason why you called so late. Tell him that you were too shy to call him then... or if you dont want to say that.. say you were busy and actually found a convienent time to call him.

I am going to get my hair done for my homecoming dance in two weeks. The thing is, I don't have any ideas! I want something that isn't too much. I want part of it down, or maybe all down just def. not it all up. My hair is blond and about 1-2 inches below my shoulders. People say my haicut is a mix between Hilary Duff in the perfect man and Kristin Cavalleri.

Anyone have any good ideas for me? Please help! I will rate!

i have a whole bunch of pictures of me and my friends, and i wanted to make like a slideshow clip out of them, so i went to the START button on my computer and found WINDOWS MOVIE MAKER. i imported all the pictures, and i have them all ready, but i want to put music on there too. i need to know how to get songs saved there from like launch or youtube, or even iTunes. i also need to know how to get the music on there, like which buttons to push and so forth. thank you :)

i'm probably not much help... but heres an easier way then using windows movie maker.... go to www.onetruemedia.com
make an account there ((is free)) and there you can upload pictures... add music ((they have a list... or you can upload music of you're own choice)) and then I think make a CD of it. It's really cool.

I play soccer and the other day I went to the trainer because the front part of my leg is hurting. They told me that I have shin splints. They said that it can only heal with rest and that if I am to practice or play in a game, they were gonna tape it up. When I'm just walking around, it really hurts and I've been limping because of it. Is there anyway to prevent it from happening again after it heals? How can I reduce the pain?

I have the perfect solution!!! I run track and field in my school... soo I know how the pain is... ouch!
well our track head coach said we were going to do a Shin-Splints-Prevention work-out everyday because he hears that many people are getting shin splints. So heres what he taught us. Lean against a wall with your back against a wall but your feet out infront of you. Then lift your toes up in the air... slowly bring them down but dont let them touch the floor, then bring them back up, then back dont not touching the floor. Do that about 50 times a day for a few weeks and you shouldn't have shin splints anymore.

I'll be glad to answer your question, remember if you need any advice at all, come to me!
Alright so first you have to think about what you and this guy have in commen... Do you both play any sports? You already have 1 thing in commen for sure... he's in your math and science class.... soo you can talk to him about the homework for that, or something like that. Before the party, make sure you're very pretty, your breath smells nice and you dont have something stuck in your teeth, lol. Dont be nervous... just go up to him and start up a casual conversation. Such as, "hey, you're in my science class right?" "yeah" "what was the homework on friday?" "it was _____" "oh, ok thanks! this party is really cool, do you play any sports?" "yeah, ____... and you?" "i play _____" "sweet"
and it goes on from there. Just go with the flow and see where he leads the conversation. If he just ignores you... keep talking to him... remind him that you're in his math and science class so he actually knows who you are. If you're shy around him, ask your friend to introduce him to you.

Hi.
The ad remover code I used for myspace leaves a big blue box. I dont know why or how to get rid of it.
Does anyone know a code that doesnt do this?

you dont even need a code to get rid of the ads... thats the best part! when you go on myspace and you click edit my profile... go through all of your codes... whenever you see some writing ((ex. if an ad says "Click here to get more quizzes" find that saying inside a code and just simply delete that saying... that way when you see you're myspace.. that ad won't be there.

ok. I have this friend named Lauren, who has been my friend since she was 1 (and i was 2) she a grade below me. This other girl, Caitlyn, has been my friend for about two years now. Not very long, i know. They have this other friend, Amanda, who i just met this year, and we aren't really friends, but we get along and stuff when we meet.
One day Caitlyn, who walks home, asked me to "miss" my bus, and call my mom and ask her if i can walk to caitlny's house with caitlny, lauren, and amanda (amanda's house is nearby, so she just goes there, but lauren and I go to caitlyn's house)
Well, that was fun. Now this week (the first time was last week)i asked if i could walk home with them again, and before caitlyn had a chance to answer, Lauren was just like "NO just me, caitlyn, and 'Manda." Then lauren and caitlyn walked off, and lauren and her arm around Amanda. They didn't even look back or wave or anything. They didn't even say bye.
Sorry this is so long...but what should i do??? i feel like im losing my best friends to amanda...i like amanda and all but i want to stay good friends with lauren and caitlyn. I need some advice, please help!!!!

This one is hard... but in my opinion I say talk to them. Talk to them individually. Talk to them and tell them how you are feeling. That you're feeling left out and you really dont like Amanda. If their response is really bad ((like they say 'whatever' and walk away)) dont hang out with them anymore. True friends would never do that. Talk to them first and see if they are really not interested in you anymore, if they are, just go find new friends that will actually respect you. Talk to amanda and say "I'm happy that my friends ((caitlyn and lauren)) are hanging out with you, but however I'm a little upset on how you aren't really including me in some things." talk to her and see what's up.... If they still ingore you, find a new crowd do hang out with.

Well you gotta think to yourself, Would I rather wait for him for 3 YEARS and ONLY talk to him on msn?????? or would I dump him and find a guy that my age, where I live, and actually get to see him... honestly, its your choice... but in my opinion I say dump him. He's not worth waiting for 3 years if it long distance and 3 years age difference and also only talking on msn. sorry but thats how I feel. its up to you.

I also have brown eyes and white, gold, pink, purple will really make your eyes pop! Take a highlighter pencil and line the inside corner of your eyes to make them appear awake and wide open. Put a gold shimmery eyeshadow or a white eyeshadow right underneath your eyebrows, that draws all of the attention to your eyes. Put on some mascara, blush and lip gloss and BAM! you're done.

Yep, another one of those 'Does he like me?' questions - I'm sorry!
There's this guy in my class at school who I really like - we're good friends, but I want something more, and I think he might,too.
The other day he and I had to give a presentation to my history class, and when I was half-way through my speech he whispered, 'I love you!'
The class cracked up, even though they didn't really know what he said, and my teacher even asked, 'What did he say?' *SO* embarrassing!!
I know he was only joking, but it's a good sign, right? Do you think he might like me?

Ok so I have been doing crunches for like 2 weeks now and they are easy for me. But I have now decided to start doing push-ups but I have the hardest time with them. Anyone got any tips to make it easy or rather less frustrating!

do push ups on your knees. Instead of putting your toes on the floor and your knees up... try putting your knees on the floor but you're toes up in the air. I'll be alot eaiser but you'll still get the work out.

thanks for the compliment!!
If you're shy to talk to her, write her an email or a note. If she has a messenger thing, talk to her on AIM. Ask her best friend if she will talk to her for you. DONT ask YOUR best friend, she'll think that HE likes her NOT YOU. Get her to notice that you're shy, she'll get the 411 that you're too shy to talk to her. So she'll work something out for the both of you. Maybe she'll come up to you and she'll start talking to you. Trust me, when both of you get to actually know each other and become friends, you wont get shy anymore. Being nervous means you're ready. Don't talk to her if you're the type that is soo shy that you'll throw up. First talk to her on an IM or email or note... then casually just start up a conversation of you two and talk about something you guys have in commen. You should be friends with her in no time.

i need mystery story ideas because we're going to write one for school. i'm not good at ideas and such so PLEASE PLEASE HELP!

Ok so heres one that I made up-

Theres this girl and she had to stay after school for extra credit. Well she went to her classroom to see the teacher, welllll.. he wasnt there! She called his name about 5 times, he wasnt there... she went to her other classrooms to ask all of the other teachers... nobody was there. She looked EVERYWHERE.. even the bathrooms! She finally went to the library and there was the head counter person. She was around her 70's and was sitting in a rocking chair, leaning back and forth reading a book. She looked up from the book and saw the girl. "what are you doing here!!" she yelled out. She ran after the girl. The girl got so scared that she was running away. She hid under the head counter persons desk. She heard nothing.......
She looked up from the desk and saw the computer screen black, but then saw the relection on the screen! it was the lady! But wait... the lady was dead. Hung on a rope. The girl was terrified and ran outside.. the door was locked. she heard footsteps down the hall. She turned slowly to see her teacher whom she was to meet with. "I found you!" she ran up to him and told him what had happend. He said nothing but just stared at her. "are you all right?" she asked him. "yes, I know what happened to the lady though." he said. "what happend?" she asked him. "I cannot say, but heres a clue, go into my classroom to find a yoo-whoo" he said as he made a rhyme. She ran into his classroom and on the chalkboard was written "Get lost, theres danger awaiting for you" She ran back to the teacher, but he was on the floor... laying down with his eyes open... he was dead. She was so scared that she ran around crazy... the door mysteriously opened up for her as she ran home as fast as she could....

the next day in school the principal announced what happened... only................. he said it happened 10 years ago and today was the day of the deaths. What had happened she thought? Everybody acted normal as if it happened 10 years ago... but yesterday they all saw the teacher.. didn't they?

nobody knew, nobody will ever know.

theres this really cute guy in my gym class... who always ALWAYS stares at me and smiles. its cute. but we havent talked yet. (in school we have block sceduling so i see him 4 times a week for an hour.) and ive only seen him 2 days so far. well some of my friends have started being asked to homecoming and i really REALLY want to go w/ him for some reason. as dumb as that may sound. any advice??

If you REALLY want to go with him to homecoming, why dont YOU ask HIM.... maybe he's too shy to ask you out. Whats the worst thing that can happen? Him saying no... that's all. If he says no.. dont be all depressed, just say "oh, ok... maybe some other type of dance" and just walk away with your head held high. Just start a simple conversation with him about something, then casually go into the homecoming conversation "have you been asked to the homecoming yet?"... "no"... "oh, me neither... we should go together! that will be fun!"
that is a simple conversation that you can use.

i sit next to the guy of my dreams in one of my classes, but i can never seem to bring up good conversation. i know when we talk about him, sports and stuff, he gets bored, because all girls are going after him and that's all they talk about to try to get him to like them. so what do i say? i want to say something witty and playful sort of that's different from what all other girls are doing. what kind of conversation topics and starters can i bring up? please help! thanks

Try to find out things about him that no other girl knows... then talk about that. For example- instead of sports... whats his favorite tv show? talk about that? "hey did you see that episode of ______?" would be a good TV conversation. what is his favorite school subject? Does he have a pet? talk about those simple things that no other girl would mention...

I'm turning big 14 in a few weeks. I already have a date set for the party.. a Saturday.
I'm having 2 friends sleep over because we dont see a lot of each other and we're bffs.
But besides them, I really don't want to have anyone else sleep over.
So I need an idea for a fun party. It can be at my house.. but it has to be a really really structured activity.. not just haning out. Or I could do out of the house (I'm feeling more like that). Like bowling or a movie.
Movies have to be PG.
And laser tag's too expensive :(
It doesn't have to include guys.
And maybe to fit 6-10 people.

We're all 13-14 and we are normal everyday girls.

Ask all the girls to bring money for a shopping spree!! Go to the mall for like 5 hours and just shop! Or you could go to the spa and all of the girls get a spa-day. At your home, you can do fun activities like an art activity or a board game. Something that is very funny will always make a good birthday party. Have a dance-off or a kareoke night. Or do something similar to Movie and a Make-over. All the girls get make-overs and then shoot a fashion show, then after go to the movies. Bowling is also a great idea. If your birthday is close to a holiday, make it be that. ((ex. halloween could be a halloween birthday party, or christmas for a christmas birthday party)). There are so many things you can do. Have a scavenger hunt except outside with people. Play night games and dress in all black.
