Ok me and my boyfriend have been together for a while now and he wants to have sex and I do too but there is just one problem I have a disease and I don’t know if I should tell him or not because I don’t want him too to think of me different but we are going to use protection and everything just I don’t want to tell him! And I am sooooo scared! I don’t know about what maybe about him knowing my deepest darkest secret, I don’t know! Please help me!

well what's the disease? If it's contagious like you describe then don't make him suffer. Protection doesn't always work, so don't count on that. You have to tell him because it wouldn't be fair if you didn't. Don't have sex until he knows because a disease can change someone's life and I'm sure he doesn't want it.

Hi. Some might say that my subject for this question seems humorous but I'm desperate.

Me and my boyfriend have been together for 8 months. He lives in Texas and I'm in Oregon. Yes, this is an internet relationship, but it's lasted this long. So, something has to be working.

Anyway. In the beginning of the relationship my grandma didn't think much of it. She thought my boyfriend was a sweet guy (he has talked to her on the phone). Well, she thought that until she found out he's hispanic. My grandma is, as much as I hate to say it, racist.

She now doesn't allow me to call him anymore. I've resorted to sneaking the phone after she's gone to sleep. Just because I wanted to hear his voice. Talking online makes allows me and him to talk, but it's too easy to get distracted while online. I've been caught sneaking the phone and because of that she's started hiding it.

Please, I need some help. I don't know how to make my grandma understand that I love him and I don't care what race he is. I've tried to tell her, but it doesn't seem to get through. I just want her to accept it. Please, I'm up for any advice. Thank you!

Race is not of much importance, but personality is. Explain that to her. I know you heard this so many times before, but it's whats on the inside that counts.If she liked him after she talked to him why would knowing his race change anything? i'm sure she wouldn't like to be judged by other races so she shouldn't judge them.

this is weird, but my braces have probably affected me a LOT, and i'm not just taking about my teeth getting straighter. i like the way i smile better (somehow, it made my smile bigger or something) but not the way it looks (you know...these TRAIN TRACKS IN MY MOUTH!). that is, when i DO smile. i've gotten so sick of these things. i'm always cutting my lips with them, and i can't stand the thought of knowing that i'll have them for another year... when people call me braceface, metal mouth, silver sidewalk, dientes de aluminio, etc. it's not that i'm sensitive or anything, but i get pissed off easily, and the thought of having them for another year and not being able to take them off even for a minute... it took away some of my favorite food!! my teeth weren't even crooked in the first place, but my parents got me them anyway because...never mind, that'll only make this story even longer. anyway, it's not just that stuff, that i'm really HATING the way i look, but it's starting to get REALLY weird... you're probably not gonna believe this, but when i talk on the phone, i almost always hear other people's phone convos!!! once i even heard a police officertalking to another one! it's not my phone, cause it always happens to me ONLY. don't even get me starting on TV reception... this i slong, and it probably sounds like i'm crazy, but i just need a way to deal with these things... put up with them for ANOTHER YEAR.

I had braces for a year and a half..it's really not that bad for the end results. There are other foods, silly!!! Try something else, it's all about self control. Who cares what people say? When peope said something about my braces. I said (in my head) "at least I can afford them" I know it doesn't feel like it for all you have to give up, but your lucky your parents care so much to do this for you.

I got my ears pierced at Claires 8 weeks ago. My left ear lobe started hurting and bleeding a teeny bit and shedding skin from the back when i changed into my second pair of sensitive earrings. What's wrong with my ear?? Is it infected?? It's a teeny bit red withthat white thingy and when you squeeze it it hurts a teeny bit. What should I do? I RATE 5'S

the white thing is probraly a syst and it probraly is infected. That's why you should go to the doctor's to get it pierced..but anyways I suggest you go to the doctor's before it get's any worse.

My friend always texts me on my phone! And we were on the phone w/ a boy the other nite! So yesterday i got this text from my friend saying that the boy we were talking to ( that i like ) said i was annoying! i was like no! She then texts me saying i was jk! I was like ooooo! SHe does it a lot and it is really annoying is it normal 4 me to be mad at her! cause she does it at least twice a day!

ok this is weird for me just to say out of nowhere, but i'm Mexican. ok where do i start? ok, my parents are kind of racist. they are always making fun of my white friend (of course not in front of her face) and think my other friend is weird just because she is black. my other friend is asian and they don't want me to be her friend. actually, my whole school is full of racist kids and they think a lot of the same things as my parents, since about 90% of my school is mExican. anyway, its not just my friends, my parents are totally judging everything i do and say i'm turning into some kind of white girl or something. when i lsten to rap songs, they tell me "dont be listening to those black songs. they use bad language and send the wrong message to people." i get really mad at my parents for being like that, but they tell me its for my own good and they want me to stay mexican. does that make any sense to you? because i don't get it at all. i guess what they mean is that, since i learned english when i was 3, listen to almost all english songs, and almost never speak spanish, they think i'm forgetting my roots, but that is sooo not true!!! it's not like i can just stop being mexican! anyway, they are trying to get me to be "more mexican" by pushing away eveything else and being racist. the other day i was listening to the radio and eminem's "mockingbird" came on and my dad got mad and told me that he doesn't want me listening to that crap. i honestly felt like hitting him...but he's my dad.why are my parents so mean and racist and am i really to blame for "not being a real mexican"?

Tell your parents that there are some good people in this world and not all of them are Mexican. They are from different races too. Tell them, that you're in America and there are going to be a huge range of races and you need to be open and accepting. Let them know that you would like to be accepted by others so you are willing to accept where others are from. Say, since you are in America you want to be free and listen to what you want, hang out with who you want..etc. As long as you don't get into trouble I really don't see a problem.

make sure she gets a lot of fluids and don't put the air on too high even if she's feeling warm because she can't be exposed to cold air or it will make her feel worse. Give her gatorade if you have some. For food, just soups.(Things that she doesn't have to chew)

What do you guys think about having an "Ask Alice" column in a school newspaper.
like where an annonymous person (possibly me) answers annonymous questions asked my students in the school. some could be put online, and some just sent back to the students. do you think that it is a good idea, i read about it in a book, it was called "Teen Idol" by Meg Cabbot, anyone ever read it? then you may know what i am talking about, only in the book it was called "Ask Annie"

the person (maybe me) would remain annonymous so that the people asking the questions would not know who you were or if you were apart of one group or clique and them another, that way the person asking the question isnt scare or whatever!!

So, do you think that this is a good idea?

aw..i bite my nails too..welcome to the club!! hehe..we'll first of all, stop biting them. I think if you go to the store they have stuff that you put on your nails to make them harder and grow faster. Try that and let me know how it works.

if you're thinking it will be fun, it probraly will be until you find your self getting in trouble. People do really stupid things when they are high, so please think about it. i was diagnosed wwith leukemia two years ago and i have just been given the all clear and im in remission.the thing is im missing all the attention and specailly my nurse.life gone back to how it was and i dont like it i feel totelly diffrent.why am i feeling like this?will i go back to how i was?plse reply swn xxxx

I'm sorry to hear that, but I'm glad you're doing better. You'll be okay. You just have to get adjusted back to your old lifestyle. Trust me the pieces of your life will fall back into place. Do some things you used to do...Go out with friends..Have fun with family..Just live your life to the fullest, because not everyone is as lucky as you to get a second chance at life. Enjoy every minute of it because that's the beauty of existence.

this is kinda long so bear with me! :)

a lot of the friends i made were from middle school and we've been friends throughout high school. the thing is, they were a-ok people in middle school. but when high school rolls around it appears that they've changed into hypocritical, outspoken, dramatic, and selfish people. don't get me wrong, i'm not exaggerating nor am i taking things out of context. if you met them, you'd know! take for example a girl who makes fun of the fat people in our school, when she weighs 200 lbs. a girl who complains and whines over an A- on a test. someone who cannot accept the fact that they are wrong. someone who doesn't make any effort for your birthday, or christmas, when every year you get them something.

because of their "new" personality traits, i dropped them because they did not fit my basic ideal aspects in a friend anymore. and whenever i find a new friend, in the end they end up betraying my trust, using me for money, or being just plain inconsiderate to a point that i cannot tolerate anymore.

note, this has happened with nearly 95% of the friends i've had my entire lifetime...

i'm not a bad person for them to be obligated to do such things, but i do admit that i can be a little too trusting and naive at times. is that what they're taking advantage of, or is there something else...? why would they do this to me?

also, because these experiences have given me a new perspective on friendships (not to trust people so easily!), how do i know if i can fully trust someone and that they will be a good friend???

it's great that you are a trusting person but don't be in such a rush to give people stuff and if you lend someone money don't give them a large amount and make sure they pay you back. If you feel like they aren't giving you the respect you deserve, then go make some new friends. You seem like a really caring person and you really shouldn't be taken advantage of, but there are some shallow people out there and unfortunatly, they care too much about themselves to think of how selfish they've become. My advice, stay sweet, and look around for a new group of people to hang with. High school is a big place and even though it may notseem like it, there are some people who aren't completly 2 faced and I'm sure you can find some people you connect with. Just stay true to yourself and everything will be good.
