My name is Devin Lindsey or Vinny as my sister calls me! I am 17 years old and go to Bethel Park High school. I loooove swimming along with dancing, singing, and playing softball. I also run varsity track with is alright i supose too.


My favorite colors are orange, pink, and blue. I love to be crazy and have a good time

I've had a job working for 15+ monthes so I can answer alot about that

and I know alot about relationships in general so I can be helpful with that sometimes

especially with parent child relationships


I am a very observant person and tend to know more and care about more than most my age


and I really believe in volunteering to help animals especially at shelters. Usually its not their fault that they have to live their and its usually horrible cercimstances that bring them there and I feel terrible that they can't speak for themselves and people are too caught up in spending like $500 on this cute little pure breed puppy from a breeder just into getting rich instead of giving one of these dogs another chance at life (there are usually a handful of dogs under a year old so the i want a puppy excuse doesn't work with me)

My baby is named Lainey Mae... we got her from a shelter about 2 hours away from us when she was 7 weeks old. she is now 2 years old and the center of our family. unfortunately someone was cruel enough to go down and drug up and shoot (but luckly not kill) most of the dogs plus rob the owner (just like someone did at the shelter where I volunteer) and its now shut down

i got my wisdom teeth pulled yesterday and i've swelled up like a pumpkin! its kinda funny, but i'm wondering how long it will take for the swelling to be completely gone and my face to be back to normal?

it varies from person to person.. i had a friend, he was back to normal in like 3 days then my 2 cousins (who are like 4 years apart but had it done on the same day) and they looked like chipmunks for like 2 weeks

okay so when i wear tampons i almost always use the "heavy" ones because i don't find the "regular" ones protect me as much. but when i take out the "heavy" ones (after 7-8 hours) they are sometimes not fully absorbed. are there any risks in this?

well you are only supose to keep them in for 6 hours really because after that the chance of TSS


if you are a teen i would never use heavy... its very unsafe


and if its not fully absorbed that means you are using too big of a size and that increases the risks if TSS

everyone says it does but ive had it for 3 years and i only got a virus once and that was because i tried to download a comp game

me and my boyfriend are expecting a baby in february. we are obviously not married- but im wondering if when it comes, will it obtain my last name or his?- i was thnking itd have to be mine- since hes not really my spouse- but is there any way can request that it has his last name if needed?

what is a good amount of money per hour

if i dont really know the kids except that that they are a sister of a family friend

and that the daughter is 2 and the son is 7

well from where i am from i would say abouit $5 an hour because basically you really are only watching the 2 year old (the 7 year old should be pretty self sufficient and do alot of things for himself get dressed, brush his teeth, put his own shoes on etc)


i know i watch 3 kids ages 4(turned 4 last week), 2 1/2, and almost 1 and i make 7-10 dollars an hour and usually thats pretty good.


just dont over do it because if you make it sould like you have to get $10 an hour chances are they wont use you or use you that often


i would try starting out like $6 for the first 3 hours then $5 for every hour after that or so

Where can i get avaitor sun glasses.. the big cop ones. If you see or know who Johnny Knoxvile is and watched the show Jackass, they're the sun glasses he wears. Sorry if you already new, but do you know where i can get a pair like that?

well ive never seen johnny knoxville's but i know you can get them anywhere.. i work at sears and i know we have tons of them along with wetseal, fye(yeah its a cd store buti got mine there)

Okay..I have a reaaally bad Tanline on my chest from a halter top swimsuit. My 8th grade Promotion is in 2 weeks, and i'm wearing a strapless dress. What should I use? Will self tanner work? Oh, and I don't want to go to a tanning salon.

i would say your only real solution (unless you want to lay out for endless hours) is to go get a spray on tan.. although some self tanners work spray on tans give you the least orange look and are only like $10. i know you don't want to go to a tanning salon but that is the only way to cover up bad tan lines and still look normal without and orange tint

Can too much attention freak a girl out and make her back off? Even though you're really close? I've heard people say this before, but I'm not too sure, and now I'm affraid that I've been bothering my girlfriend with too much attention.

I think it really depends on the girl and her age. Personally i wouldnt back off until i was getting so much attention that i was annoyed and couldnt stand you anymore.
Some signs to look out for are she doesnt want to talk to you and she seems really bored or annoyed around you. if she seems happy then you most likely arent giving her too much attention because personally most girls love attention

I want to make my own clothes. I don't have much money to buy clothes so I figure this would be a cheap alternative. I have some experience with sewing. I hand-sewed a stuffed animal in teh 6th grade and I manually (sewing machine sewed) a bag with pockets and drawstrings last year. I don't have a sewing machine. So I was wondering where I can get a good inexpensive one; fabric for clothes; patterns to make teh clothes and other stuff I would need to make the clothes.
I also want to know how exactly to make clothes. Anyone with clothing making/ design experience would help. Any additional information will help also. Thank you. (websites are nice too)

i have to warn you its really not that much cheaper..


i had to make a purse for my sewing class and after getting all the fabric and thread and buttons and what not i need it was like $30 and i prob could have gotten the same style of purse for like $20 (acually they had the exact same style purse i made just dif fabric for $24 at american eagle)

but anyways you can get fabric and patterns almost anywhere.. fabric stores, walmart, even ebay


personally i would recommend reading alot of books or taking a sewing class before starting to make your own stuff because there is alot to learn around fabric and how they fit and wash and what not.

i got a sewing machine for like $30 on the home shopping network (its a mini semi mobile one) and i would say it was a very good buy.. it was ment for children/beginners so it was easy to thread and works like a charm.. i would say if you can get one off of there

Does anyone know of anything that i can do in a pool to lose weight? i know swimmging itself can make you lose weight but i want something fun..we have a 3ft-5ft pool and we dont have any of those water weight things but we do have floaties and what not...anyone know of anything i can do?

basically anything works... pool volley ball, water polo, diving for sticks.

as long as you are moving you are burning calories like anything else.

if your looking for something good try relay races. like me and my sister do like we throw 10 sticks into the pool and we have to bring them back 1 by one and see who gets the most in a certain time or whatever

I dyed my hair black.. I dont like it. Is there anyway to get rid of it in a few days?
Does shampooing do anything?

What i would do is dont condition it if you can and do anything to make it dry (the dryer your hair is the less it will hold color) and that might make it fade a bit. Also what you can do is by stuff at like eckerds and stuff that can strip the color our of your hair


if your totally unsure go to a salon.. they can take the color out for you and find you a new color you enjoy

My computer is pretty old so im planning on getting a new one. I have over 700 songs on my iTunes/iPod and when I get rid of this computer they will all be gone. Is there any way to get the songs from my iPod onto my new computer so I dont have to download them all over again?

what i would do is save them all to a disk (or a few) then save them back on to your new comp. there is a special way you do it though.. like normally you can only get like 20 songs on a cd but there is someway to easily format your songs so you can get like 500 on a disk

Okay, this is kind of gross, but I mean, I really need help, and fast. You see, we've had a long history of breast cancer in my family, and my aunt died of it 2 years ago.

Well, I was taking a shower today, and I got out to dry myself off. I noticed that my chest hurt really bad, and I looked down, and saw this huge lump on the side of my nipple. I felt it and it felt like this huge ball underneath my skin. It hurts realy, really bad. I know that your breasts already hurt if you touch 'em, but this was just like excrusiating pain.

So I have a few questions.
1. Can you get breast cancer at 14 years old? (I just turned 14 on may 30th.)
2. Does anyone else have this?
3. If not, should I get it checked out?
4. If I do need to get it checked out, how should I tell my Mom?

I'm like, really scared. I hope its nothing, but I don't know who to ask. My Mom's not here, and when she does get here, she'll have 3 friends with her. Please help me ASAP!

although it is possible i was told not to worry about it.. we had a lady come in from a preg. resource/cancer center for health one day and she said not even think about checking yourself because lumps are common while you are developing.

you can get it check out if you want but if i were you i would wait a month or soo to see if anything happens to you. if your close to your period it could just be that because your breasts get tender when you have your period

I accidentally left my glove out in the rain the other night, and it's still not dry. It's been about 4 days. Any tips or tricks? Or is my glove doomed?

i would recommend hanging it up while it drys and trying to slowly blowdry it on cold if you have the time.. just be careful because i believe too much heat will make it shrink (like in the oj simpson case when the leather glove srinked because they put it in the dryer) so cold hair is better!

I have some spots and abit of a rash on my shoulders and back... does anyone know maybe why i have them? i was thinking maybe im allergic to my shower gel or something. does anyone know what i can use to get rid of them?

i would say its an allergic reaction.. and because its allergy season its hard to tell what it is from.. if you are using a new shower gel then yes its prob that.


to get rid of it basically you can take stuff like benadryl and wash the area off with water to make sure you get all the soap or whatever was bothering your skin off

Well, at the moment i feel sick with a thumping headache, and the past few days ive had a headache. Tomorrow night im going toa party and i really wanna have a good time (i.e i dont wanna have a thumping headache).
Are there any things i can do that will make me feel fresh and healthy by tomorrow night?

i would say rest and take asprin... that should do the trick... usually i can sleep headaches off after a while.


also ive heard ice packs work well on your head when you get headaches but they dont really help me

Alright so i want to, but i'm afraid i'm going to cut myself or something, and this sounds wierd but the hair is like in there growing out, so how would i shave that?

well what i do is i get a good razor thats only been used once or twice (i wouldnt do it on your first time with that razor) and i use conditioner instead of shaving cream
