everyone says it does but ive had it for 3 years and i only got a virus once and that was because i tried to download a comp game

as long as you stick to music its basically 100% virus free

It can if you dont use it right. Or if you have a a good spywear/virus protector then you'll be fine.

You just have to be careful.

1. Make sure you have good virus-protection software.

2. Don't download any .exe files.

3. Don't download anything suspicious (i.e. something with a huge filesize, weird filetype, weird spelling errors in name)

Take these precautions and you should be ok.

For some people, it may slow the whole operation of the computer down. I haven`t seen anything wrong with my computer after downloading Limewire. My friend supposidly got viruses from it, but then again, she thinks myspace fried her hard drive.

So as far as I know, no problems have occured with mine.
