My name is Devin Lindsey or Vinny as my sister calls me! I am 17 years old and go to Bethel Park High school. I loooove swimming along with dancing, singing, and playing softball. I also run varsity track with is alright i supose too.

I've had a job working for 15+ monthes so I can answer alot about that

and I know alot about relationships in general so I can be helpful with that sometimes

especially with parent child relationships

I am a very observant person and tend to know more and care about more than most my age

and I really believe in volunteering to help animals especially at shelters. Usually its not their fault that they have to live their and its usually horrible cercimstances that bring them there and I feel terrible that they can't speak for themselves and people are too caught up in spending like $500 on this cute little pure breed puppy from a breeder just into getting rich instead of giving one of these dogs another chance at life (there are usually a handful of dogs under a year old so the i want a puppy excuse doesn't work with me)

My baby is named Lainey Mae... we got her from a shelter about 2 hours away from us when she was 7 weeks old. she is now 2 years old and the center of our family. unfortunately someone was cruel enough to go down and drug up and shoot (but luckly not kill) most of the dogs plus rob the owner (just like someone did at the shelter where I volunteer) and its now shut down

out of opinion, would you say that 5'4'' was tall or short for a 15 year old girl?

I would say that is about average to tall. My sister is 5'3 and 13 and she looks really tall (bcause shes skinny) but she said she is acually shorter than alot of her friends

My mom got me these new contacts: Acuvue Oasys with HYDRACLEAR plus. Well I was wondering about on the website, it said that up to 6 night consecutive wear. Does that mean that you can sleep with them in and not take them ou for up to 6 nights and its like alright to? And my mom got me 3 pair, and said that it was a year supply, but on the website it says two week replacement reccomended. Can they last 4 months each pair?

I would not wear then for four monthes.. you can maybe get two out of them but that is the max. and if you plan on wearing them for two monthes DO NOT keep them in for more than 1 night a week. They aren't ment for extended wear and the longer they are in your eye the faster they will no longer be able to worn. So its either wear then for two week and wear them at night or take them out every night and maybe get a little bit longer out of them.

Is it rude to bring a friend to my 3rd cousins graduation party without asking? You see, I'm not close enough to them to call and ask without feeling awkward, but i don't want them to be offended. There's going to be a ton of people there, but I'm not sure if it would seem rude to them or not. (My friend would go in place of my sister, so that wouldn't mess up the dinner count or whatever) Just need to know, thanks!

i would ask or atleast ask your parents if they think its alright. because unplanned guests can cause problems even if they are taking someone elses place. i wouldn't just show up with someone. I would think its kine of rude. i would ask Your cousin even if you just send and email.

its like having a birthday party and one of your friends brings a friend you don't know and just hangs out with them... feels kinda weird doesnt it

I want to go on a diet, but not a strict one. So I was wondering, if I drink nothing but water and eat KIND OF healthy, will I lose weight? When I say kind of healthy, I mean like no candy or junk food.

You may or may not lose weight. as long as you are eating and its healthy you will atleast maintain your weight but you should lose a little

i would add exercise in.. it will help you lose weight much faster

14/f...i've been trying to eat less calories and stay thin. a daily eating pattern is this

breakfast -- a vanilla crisp Special K bar
lunch -- one red apple and one chewy bar
dinner -- whatever my dad makes (it varies everyday from hot dogs to pasta)

but all of the sudden my dad has been trying to get me to eat more food. he is always thinking that if i eat too little then i'm going to become anorexic. whenever my dad cooks he makes me eat more then i want to eat to stay thin. what can i do? and today him and my mom started saying that they don't like how i eat a special K bar for brerakfast. they want me to eat something more suitable for breakfast like cereal..but that would put more calories into my diet and make me gain weight.

your dad is right. cereal is a better breakfast. although special k bars are low in calories they are loading with sugar. you are better off eating like plain cerios or an egg.

Also for lunch i would eat something better than a chewy bar. Maybe try a salad, bowl of oatmeal or tuna

also cutting calories doesnt help you loose weight. in the short run.. yes you will but in the long run you wil acually gain weight

i would stick to watching trans fat and sugar.. that is a better idea. or try a program like weight watchers (like i have the book and papers i never acually went to a meeting but they are good tools)

and when eating dinner try something like boneless skinless chicken if you can or whole wheat pasta or fish.

I would say yes and know. i have kept some of my friends but not my best friends. My best from now was acually i good friend of mine from middle school during 5th and 6th grade but after that we didn't really talk again till freshman year and basically all of my friends changed then.

I am not saying its not possible to be friends

what's the major differences between middle school and high school? i am going to be a freshman and i'd like to know some hints & the major differences. also, whats the first day like? thankyouu muchly.

I think maturity is a big difference. Alot of people change and its not all fun it games anymore.. well it is but in a new kind of way.

Instead of being focused on gettingready for highschool its alot more on grades and college

for my school my first day of freshman year was scary (i have a college style campus) i was affraid i was going to get lost. really you arent bullied by upper classman its more like they enjoy laughing at you when you get lost and what not (i am going to be a junior)

my mom gave me a couple of options for my first car.

1. one is that she would buy me a car for $3,000 and i would have to pay her back half of that. her friend has a red honda civic with a sunroof and is willing to sell it to us for that price.
2. another option is for her to give me her current car (an infinite with a sunroof that's 5 years old). this may not be true, but i think she may make me buy it from her for $1,500.

3. the kind of car i want is a convertible bug (volkswagon) or a bug with a sunroof. in the newspaper, they're as cheap as $7,000.

what should i do: option 1, 2, or 3? i don't want to pay for car insurance on a car that isn't the volkswagon i want (basically, i'm going to get a bug whether it's now or in a few years).

I would go for your first option. (because you are gaurenteed to have that and it sounds nice)

because just because the cheapest is $7,000 doesn't mean that car needs tons of work

acually i would go for a bug with a sunroof. they are nice and cheaper!

I am 13 female and have a boyfriend.We have recently had sex and I have notcied I have missed a period. We used protection but I'm really scared I'm pregnant. What do I do and How do I tell my parents about it if I am pregnant

Well first i would wait to see if you are first. when you first start getting your period (or anyone under the age of 16 for the most part) your period can be very irregular even after monthes of it being regular

first i would wait for another week or two to see if it comes then if not i would proceed with a preg. test then if you are go from there

the best thing to do is be straight up. plan a meeting to meet with your parents at planned parenthood and they can go over all of the options for you. and what i would do is go seperately (like don't drive with them) so that they don't have a chance to scream at you because they would be much more calm at a meeting

how long is an ipod supposed to stay going with a full charged battery? and a half charged one?

Fully charged its supose to get 14-18 but i would say having my ipod for 6 monthes it last 7-8 hours and half charged half of that and so on

but i have a nano but it still should be the same

Well it depends. if you are moving to a larger place like Germany i would have a job lined up first because.. well with internet and what not these days it wouldn't be that hard to atleast get interviews lined up

but if you are going to a place like Mexico it may be more difficult because they don't have as much money there.. and you would have an easier time finding a job once you move their

yes you have to be 18. the main reason is because you are dealing with credit cards and what not that you have to be 18 to have. and it charges you to list stuff up

Okay I am 15 and I am very devout, although I'm catholic I follow the belifs in general of Chritianity. I have had a connection with God. This year it was on and off all the time. In may I went to Quebec and Saw the Basillica of Saint Anne de Beaupre(people claim its were heaven and earth meat) and upon entering the church, I felt something and upon entering the main part of the church I felt something and I felt a strong connection to god. Since tyhen the connection is lost. I feel empty now unless in a sancutary. Do any of you (christians only please) know how I can streghten my connection with god>

i would try going to a jesus camp. i went to a retreat with a group of friends from my church and not only did we have a good time i felt a conection with god that i have never felt before.

( i went to that church in quebec its beautiful!)

well its from the end but most people arent 28 days.. thats an average. there is a way to figure out yuor cycle length but i am unsure but you can prob find it online. you calculate your period lenght and you weight and what not

What do most people define as "hooking up"?

i would say hooking up is getting together to date someone new. like a spontanous kind of thing between to sorta friends
