of course! I have a friend right now that i have been freinds with since elementary school.....we are both gonna be in Junior high.....in two years we will both be in High school.....unless something major happens, I assume we will still be friends. (she is a grade behind me) there is also my friend's friend that i met in 6th grade (she was in 5th) and we are inseparable, and now im going into 8th, and her into 7th.
So as long as you stay close, You can be! Just remember as you go through middle school/junior high,she might change, and if she does too much, she may decide she doesn't want to be friends. DOn't fight, just let her go. She might come back later!!

I would say yes and know. i have kept some of my friends but not my best friends. My best from now was acually i good friend of mine from middle school during 5th and 6th grade but after that we didn't really talk again till freshman year and basically all of my friends changed then.

Me and my old best friend were best friends from 4th grade to half of 9th grade. We started to split apart during second semester because we no longer had any classes together and we both met a lot of new people.
In highschool, you meet a lot of new people, so as long as you keep in touch and keep having fun together, you should remain best friends for life.

As long as you continue to enjoy each others company and have the same interests, then there is no reason whatsoever to lose that friendship.
People do drift apart when their life circumstances change, but often if you change together then you share another experience.
If you continue to make the effort of staying in touch and sticking together you should find that your friendship will grow.
