this is for strong Christians mostly to answer. Is their any Godly way to relieve sexual tension without sinning when your single? I'm a strong, young Christian girl but imma teenager so I have raging horemones. I used to masturbate then I stopped then it went to dry humping. now I'm trying to stop it all but its hard. Is there any way to de stress?

I'm also a Christian girl and is normal what your feeling. And my advice is listen to a lot of worshipping song and while you listening to it tell God to help you and to take everything out of you that is not him. And believe it will work for sure. I had your same problem and believe listening to worshipping songs and praying while the worshipping song is on it will work for sure. Tell me how it went .I hope i have helped

No because you are supose to "give pleasure to others and not keep it for youself".. well thats what i learned at a jesus retreat which was mainly focused on chastity because all those things you are only pleasuring yourself

I'm not a strong christian, but I feel an obligation to answer your question. It's not fair to yourself or your body to just ignore these sexual tensions. Not only is masturbation healthy, but it's also an excellent way to relieve stress. Some christians don't believe that masturbation is a sin, and i'm one of them. Your not hurting anyone, so personally I think you should just masturbate. I promise it's good for you. It's not like your having sex, so what's the problem?

Now for reliveing the tension, there seems to be nearly no way. The best way to cope is to pick up as many sports, hobbies and talents as you can. Start reading a lot! Find something that takes your mind off of it and do it.

I know how you feel because I did the same thing and you know what made me stop was the fact that I had faith in God to give me a boyfriend to have sex with so I wouldn't have to do all of that so what I did was I went out there and found me a good boyfriend and I just wasn't looking for any kind of boy I was lokking for a good kind of boy. But another thing you can do is occupy your time and try to get your mind off sex maybe find a hobbie or something.

To reply with the first person to anser that isnt true it, the reason behind it is because of the scripture they believe you should only have sex to have a baby whcih is what he was preventing. Soem ppl also belive you are sacrficing the suold of a child when you amsturbate because many christian denomations belive that the sould comes from the seed.
And to reply with the other person to anser shes right, but dont worry, if you repent your sins to go and you are sincere you will be forgiven. So if prayer and guidance wont work(which it wont always we are born undetr the intent to sin) dont worry about it. God also said homogential acts(gay sex) is sinful for the reason it isnt for procreation but says if it is necasary for these acts then tahts all you can do.

Yea, theres a way to relieve the tension. Pray to Jesus and remember that he died on the cross for us, endured all that suffering for our sake. We all have hormones, we all get urges. But that is no excuse to have pre marital sex, or to masturbate, which is also a sin. Remember that Jesus was nailed to a cross, you can wait to have sex.

From you question I'm assuming that you may have heard that masturbation is a sin.
To the best of my knowledge, this is the scripture that many people point to in order to say that masturbation is a sin:
(Genesis 38:8 - 10) "And Judah said unto Onan, Go in unto thy brother's wife, and marry her, and raise up seed to thy brother. And Onan knew that the seed should not be his; and it came to pass, when he went in unto his brother's wife, that he spilled [it] on the ground, lest that he should give seed to his brother. And the thing which he did displeased the LORD: wherefore he slew him also."
See, Onan's brother was dead, but Onan was supposed to marry his brother's widow and make her pregnant and the resulting baby would be raised as his brother's baby, not his. Some people translate these passages as saying that instead of making her pregnant, he masturbated, then got killed for it because he "spilled [it] on the ground" (his seed).
If you read it, it's pretty obvious that's not what happened because it first says "he went in unto his brother's wife". So basically, he had sex with his brother's wife, then pulled out at the last second in an effort not to make her pregnant. He didn't want to "donate" his seed to his dead brother, but he still went ahead and had sex with his brother's wife, you see?
It had nothing to do with masturbation. That's the way, I read it, anyway.
If, however, you are a Catholic, there may be some other reason why the Catholic Church thinks it's a sin. If they have a different reason, it might be from one of the exclusively Catholic doctrines.
The Catholic Church believes that the Bible is not the only authority. Their teachings include such documentation as Catechisms, and Papal Encyclicals (defined as "authoritative teaching instruments from the Vicar of Christ" (the Pope)) which have been written and added to throughout the years of the history of the Catholic Church.
Because of this, the Catholic Church has many teachings, beliefs, and traditions which are different from a Christian who believes the Holy Bible is the exclusive authority of Christianity.
Their belief that masturbation is a sin may come from one of these other authorities, rather than the Biblical scripture I quoted.
