Words of advice on love:
- Don't ever let someone tell you that you are not in love.
- If you say that you THINK you're in love, then you aren't. If you really feel it, then you are.
- Never let someone judge your relationship unless they know FACTS.
- To me, age is not an issue. If you are 13 and dating a 30 year old, then it's a big deal. If it's 5 or 6 years, not a big deal.
- If you are being abused mentally/physically GET OUT OF THE RELATIONSHIP! Don't give the excuse that he apologized. If he loves you he wouldn't do that to you.
I'm not a fan of answering questions that are listed in the FAQ. If it's a question you can look up on Google then please, look it up on google. Don't be lazy.

OK well im a 13/f and when I was little and still now if like i do somthing "bad"..or i get my dad mad...he'll like hit me...and like i dont know if thats really considered abuse..well see this all came up because my friend jessica was tellin us how she stayed out late and her dad got really mad and she called her mom and was like i think dads gunna hit me cuz hes really mad but if he lays a hand on me ill call the cops...so that just got me thinkin to myself...is what my dad does considered abuse or just a way of him "punishing" me. And he doesnt just like "spank" me he usually uses a hard stick and hits me a few times and ive gotten a couple of bruises

Yes, what your father is doing IS abuse. If he uses any object, stick, bat, paddle, hand, leg, fist, etc. in a violent manner towards you as what he would consider "disipline", it is illegal and he can be arrested for it.
Especially that it's leaving marks on your body, it's even worse. You should talk to your mother about it, because this IS illegal in EVERY state. Next time he does it, you should notify the autorities, what he's doing isn't right and should pay the price for abuse towards a minor.
I've been researching cell phone plans for my brother and I.
I don't want to base my decision only on price but also on service.
So my question is what cell phone company has the best service?
Right now, T-Mobile and Cingular Wireless have the best service.
I currently am a Verizon wireless customer and I hate it. There are so many hidden fees, and I'm charged for things I'm not supposed to be.
Keep your eye on T-Mobile and Cingular. They have really good family plans.
I would reccomend Cingular moreso, however, Cingular may not work as good in your area.

Well, to him it seems like a way of disipline, a way to "punish" you, but it IS abuse. It is not tolerated in ANY state of the US, so if you were to call the cops he can and WILL be arrested and thrown in jail for domestic violence (I believe that's what it's called)
If either of your parents lay a hand on you, you can contact DYFUS and be removed from your household, because essentially it is an unsafe environment.
So, yes what your dad is doing is ABUSE.

What do I think about drugs- I think drugs are stupid, they have no point to them but to fry peoples brain cells and make them stupid and kill you. Sure, being high is supposed to feel great, you feel like you are floating on a cloud, yadda yadda yadda... But you lose your sense of direction, your sense of focus, you lose your sense of self, you lose motivation, you lose your reflexes, your thinking, your friends, your family... you're life.
I'm 16 years old, I was addicted to sleeping pills and I almost ended up in the hospital because of it. My friend was killed from a daterape drug, and I would hate to see that happen to anyone else I love, or anyone in general.
How I learned about drugs- Alot I learned through DARE, other things were just from the social cliques at school, what I've seen, what I had to go through losing a friend.

ok! i imed someone on AIM & they didn't have up an a/m er it wasn't in their profile, but when i imed them the a/m was up & it was a link for a angelfire site, & i was wondering if you could get a virus somehow. i didn't click it er anything but i heard there's some code you can put in your a/m that gives people virus's & i wasn't sure if that was true er not. nothing came up on my virus scan though. any ideas

If it didn't come up in a virus scan, then there was no virus attatched.
And, most of the time, you need to open it in order for the virus to really spread. So, by clicking on it, it could have given a virus. Since you didn't, odds are there is no virus.
Hi all. I'm a senior in high school, and I'm in love with an extraordinary person. I want to spend the rest of my life with him, to share joys, concerns, and everything that might come up. College is coming up, and we've been discussing the seriousness of our relationship to make sure that we have no doubts about eachother, and we're trying to take everything into consideration. We've discussed our veiws on marriage, kids, future goals, values and beliefs that both of us have, and we know each other's families very well. We really want to make sure we can make this work. So my question is, is there anything else we should be taking into consideration? And also, do you think we should plan on going to the same college or colleges near eachother?

Well, I think you two have hit all the major things in discussion.
By going to the same college, or colleges close to one another, will YOU or him be fufilling YOUR dreams, YOUR goals, YOUR wants, etc?
If not, then I see no point in going to the same college, or one in the same state, or close to it.
My boyfriend and I are currently dealing with the same situation, however, he, nor I are Seniors in highschool. I am a sophmore, and he a junior. In hopes we will be together until he reaches his senior year and beyond, it will be hard for us, considering I'd have to wait an entire year until I go off to college to even be close to him. I live in NJ, he's considered going to Arizona, California, Florida.. Having a somewhat long distance relationship to begin with is hard, so him being a few states over could be horrible for the two of us.
I believe, that if you two were to go to separate colleges, possibly in separate states, it will give you two a sense of direction, let you know what you REALLY want in life. College life is completely different from highschool, so I hear. You'll meet new people, do new things and lord only knows if you two will last the first few months of college life. But, I hope you do.
But, all I can tell you for sure is that, if you two WANT to make it work and will stop at nothing until it does, then it WILL WORK.

How do you prevent a question you answered from showing on your advice column?
If you can find the link to the question, you can delete your answer by highlighting the whole thing and deleting it and then pressing Edit Answer. Other than that, there is no way to have them not show up.
However, if you go into your profile settings, you will see this:
If a question is deleted (by either the user asking it or a moderator) should we still display it on your column?
-Yes -No
If that question has been deleted, you can click the option NO and it will not show up, but all other questions you answered that were deleted by the asker, or a site administrator, it will not show up on your column.

Make an account with Photobucket or any other online photo album.
Upload the pictures and then when they are uploaded, copy where it says TAG. Paste that code into myspace and it should show up.

Pre-treat it with whatever detergent you have. Let it sit for about an hour with detergent on the stain. Throw it in the wash, and make sure it "soaks" in the water for about 15 minutes. It should come right out.

Well, I'm not into Ugg boots, because I hate them. But that's just me.
However, all the girls in my school whom are exremely fashionable that wear Abercrombie and Fitch, D&C and all those insanely expensive brands, they still wear them.
