ok! i imed someone on AIM & they didn't have up an a/m er it wasn't in their profile, but when i imed them the a/m was up & it was a link for a angelfire site, & i was wondering if you could get a virus somehow. i didn't click it er anything but i heard there's some code you can put in your a/m that gives people virus's & i wasn't sure if that was true er not. nothing came up on my virus scan though. any ideas

don't click don't worry though its fine i get those things sometimes just x out don't click and it will be fine and agian the virus scan should have picked it up. and theres no such thing i mean how would they get into the computer it makes no sense. hope i helped.

well not all virus scanners pick up everything but since you didn't click on it you wouldn't get a virus from it with viruses you have to open the file. So your computer is safe just don't click on that link unkess it's a friend you trust to keep their cpu clean and not to contaminate yours or test out a virus on yours.

If it didn't come up in a virus scan, then there was no virus attatched.



And, most of the time, you need to open it in order for the virus to really spread. So, by clicking on it, it could have given a virus. Since you didn't, odds are there is no virus.
