What do you think about drugs?

Question Posted Tuesday October 11 2005, 2:55 pm

Now heres a question for the masses. Because Im bored.

What do you think about drugs?

Post your age, your experiences with drugs (if any) and what you think about them.

Oh, and how did you learn what you know about drugs? Parents? Dare? School?

Lectures about how bad drugs are will be given a 1. Answers that simply say "Drugs are bad, I hate drugs" or "Drugs are Awes0m3!!!11" will be given a 1. Any decent remark (or anything that makes me laugh) will get an auto 5

Hmm. It's nice to see a different question for a change; and an interesting one, at that.

I recall D.A.R.E in sixth grade, but I slacked off to the highest degree, and then some, in that class. It's not that I didn't CARE what the D.A.R.E Officer had to say. It's just that I KNEW drugs were not my cup of tea. I have faith in myself, and I've always KNOWN that I would never go down that road. But I guess I learned most of my facts and information through various websites. To be honest, I've never experienced with drugs. Nor do I have the slightest bit of desire to change that fact. While it's most certainly an activity I choose to have absolutely no part in, I can not control the lives of others. I'm not saying that I believe that everybody who does drugs is a good-for-nothing delinquent. I just think that if a man has no respect for his body... that's saying a lot about his character. But that's just me, and we're all responsible for our own life choices. [:

What do I think about drugs- I think drugs are stupid, they have no point to them but to fry peoples brain cells and make them stupid and kill you. Sure, being high is supposed to feel great, you feel like you are floating on a cloud, yadda yadda yadda... But you lose your sense of direction, your sense of focus, you lose your sense of self, you lose motivation, you lose your reflexes, your thinking, your friends, your family... you're life.

I'm 16 years old, I was addicted to sleeping pills and I almost ended up in the hospital because of it. My friend was killed from a daterape drug, and I would hate to see that happen to anyone else I love, or anyone in general.

How I learned about drugs- Alot I learned through DARE, other things were just from the social cliques at school, what I've seen, what I had to go through losing a friend.
