well i know a lot of excercises you can do...see how high/low you can go etc, but for songs try simple things... and i know it sounds stupid, but things like "Mary Had a Little Lamb" just to test your voice. and then try things that are more complex... Colors of the Wind... God Help the Outcasts... Disney stuff is actually really good practice for a voice... and then finally to Broadway with Dont Rain on My Parade, When Youre Good to MaMa, All That Jazz...

I am a former self-injurer, and I finally stopped cutting at the end of 8th grade (I'm going into 9th). I've been happy since the end of 8th grade and haven't had a reason to cut, or I'v refrained myself from cutting. But that's how I deal with stress. And I'm afraid I'll relapse this year from stress. I've been to therapy, and I write a lot. Is there any other way I could possibly deal with stress that isn't destructive?

i have a friend that was in the EXACT same situation. we thought the same thing... what if a relapse happens? what you do is find something that is easy on you that can relieve your stress... go for a walk in your neighborhood every day after school or something that's easy and can take your mind off a hard day.

people generalize like that because its true, a lot of guys that are into theater are gay. i love theater too, but im a girl, and there were guys in our theater troupe that arent gay, and all theater troupes have guys that arent gay. i know its a bad thing to generalize, but people just associate gay guys with theater, and its wrong. just keep telling them you arent gay, you just love what you do.

you should sit them both down and talk to them. just tell your friend that you're jealous, suggest hanging out as a group if you can stand it, and tell Heather that YOU are still best friends with Krystal even if she is too.

my family is like that too... what you gotta do is be patient... people go through weird phases. i know it feels like the phase will NEVER EFFING END and all that... but eventually it will... my younger brother and i fight all the time, not really over vidoe games cuz i dont play them, but over silly things like that and it blows over. always. you have to remember your family loves you, and they will no matter what. (i know... totally corny, but its true)

what i do is i go to windowsmedia.com and in the search bar you type in the artist you want. the titles of the songs are links. you right click on it and then hilite and click PROPERTIES at the bottom of the menu that comes up. hilite and copy the URL and put it in the music thing on your xanga. hope that helps!

i have friends like that... you do eventually have to tell this person how you feel. but in a nice way... like dont say "dude youre a self centered bitch" but say something like "can you stop being so selfish and PLEASE think about others before yourself?" i know thats still kinda mean but she DOES have to get the message... just dont make the message that shes a bitch.

i would SERIOUSLY advise against it... though ive never done it myself. swimming in a lake may actually make it worse because of all te bacteria. i didnt use tampons either... and then my first summer with my period i tried it and it wasnt that bad. just dont leave them in for too long. i think trying tampons is a better idea than swimming with pads...

ok...so i've been wanting to get this puppy for SOO LONG! i'm fed up with my mom saying no and yelling at me for it. How are some ways i could get my mom to let me get this dog? I know how to take care of it because i take better care of my cousins dog than he does...but my mom doesnt let me do anything. i do everything for her. i take care of my cat, sister, i clean the house. i let her go out on weekends with her boyfriend while i have to stay home and watch my sister. i compromise with her. i do everything for her and she cant even let me get this dog! how could i get her to get it? i just got a puppy myself. its a lot more work than it seems... even if you've had them before. tell your mom that the only way you're going to get experience with taking care of someone besides yourself is actually GETTING the experience. tell your mom how much you do for her and say that its a great reward for all you do because its something you realy want.

well.... lol at my high school we have a tradition for intermission of every show. to get the energy up, we do something... a little sexual... lol. just think of something fun to get energy up between the acts. i cant technically tell you what we do ;)

what helps is to sit down the entire group of friends. tell them that its time to tell everyone else in the group their feelings towards one another. tell the ones that you feel are neglecting you that you feel that way. find out why. just have a long, uninterrupted talk. that helps, i promise.
