Im not gay
Im into theater and all that stuff but im NOT GAY!!! i also dance for some of the shows. why do people think im gay??? GRRR it makes me so mad!!!! Why do ppl generalize like that?

Hun, people are idiots! That's why! They automatically think that when a guy dances and is into theatre, they're gay. There is this guy that went to my school. Bobby. He talkes ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical and so much more. He sings, and acts. He's like the straightest guy I know. But when people meet him for the first time, they think he's gay! Which is totally false. You shouldn't worry about what people think about you, because people are just ignorant and will say anything to piss you off. That's just how people are. Don't change yourself because of something that people are saying. If a girl were to come up to you and say ARE YOU GAY, just say no, but is your boyfriend? Because you kinda look like a guy to me... People are ignorant, just remember that.
Be proud that you have TALENT and they don't. Just because you don't play football, doesn't make you less of a man. You've got a talent that most guys don't. Be proud of that.

Well, not everyone who is theatre and all that other cool stuff is gay. I know a lot of str8 people who are in it. And people generalize it because they like to put people in groups of what they think they are, when they don't really know the person. But don't pay any attention to them. They're just immature.
So don't worry about them.

Uhm.. people who are very immature and stupid and who sterotype people think that. I wouldnt care though. Most guys would be into sports and such but you're into theather and dancing and there is nothing wrong with that. Its pretty cool. Just ignore then. They dont know what gay means.

people generalize like that because its true, a lot of guys that are into theater are gay. i love theater too, but im a girl, and there were guys in our theater troupe that arent gay, and all theater troupes have guys that arent gay. i know its a bad thing to generalize, but people just associate gay guys with theater, and its wrong. just keep telling them you arent gay, you just love what you do.

We they are thinking that because theater and dance arnt "common" things for a male to be involved in. But to heck with their sterotypes. One day when you are in the spotlight and they are pumping your gas you can ask "what now?" to them.

People just generalize like that because they were either brought up like that or they have nothing else better to do. In my old dance class, there were boys in it. Theres really no problem with it boys can do anything that girls can do. And vise versa. If people talk about it to you then just ignore them, dont even stay anything back. They arent worth it!
