A clever way of saying that people will have unique interests and practices. In simpler words, people just do stuff differently.
People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones:
This is quite true. Similar to the "He who is without sin shall cast the first stone", it essentially tells us that it is impractical and illogical to criticize others while one has similar faults. Why? It would be like throwing stones at glass houses while your own house is glass. Sooner or later someone will break down YOUR transperant glass house with stones of their own.
There is nothing to fear but fear itself:
This merely advises that fear is a crippling emotion that is the only that can possibly keep ourselves from doing whatever we want to do.
It's nice to be important; hwever, it's important to be nice:
Simply put, being an important person is well and good, but what is more meaningful and useful morally correct is to be nice.
SoNotLegal answered Monday August 8 2005, 5:47 pm: Different strokes -- it means that not everybody likes the same types of things.
Glass houses -- basically, it means not to be a hypocrite.
Fear -- it means don't be a chicken. There's no reason to be afraid.
Being nice -- it means that while it's great to be the center of attention, it's better to be a nice person.

BWvolley answered Monday August 8 2005, 4:19 pm: differnt strokes for different folks- means that ppl are brought up differently and you have to adjust to that and learn how to deal with the different people.
People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones- well that pretty much means you need to act according to how you were brought up. People can see how you were raised by how you act (so live up to your standards)
There is nothin to fear but fear its self-that means don't be scared of anything new that you haven't faced. Step up, and go for it all!
Its nice to be important but its important to be nice- well that means that its great to be successful in life, but don't get arrogant and cocky. I mean if your not nice to the 'little peopple' then you won't et annywhere and you will fail!!! [ BWvolley's advice column | Ask BWvolley A Question ]
