My hair is curly. Not like loose curls but like really curly. Anyways my sister has the same type of hair but a little bit curlier. She dyed her hair and also straightens it like on every saturdays(cuz she parties and stuff) and she sometimes straighten it on weekdays. Since she dyed her hair, her hair looks really...cripsy. But i don't know.
I want to dye my hair but i don't even straighten it! Should it be okay? Because my sister says that i shouldn't because it would add alot of damage. But i really want to. And i don't think that`ll it be TOTALLY crispy like my sisters because she straightens it more than i do. And i hardley ever straighten. Like..HARDLY!! Do you think it would be a good idea for me to dye my hair? And what would be some good products for my hair not to end up like my sisters even if i don't straighten it?

you might want to try a semi-permanent color so its not so harsh on your hair.
as for products, Loreal Color Vive works pretty good. Make sure you use a really good conditioner.
other than that, you probably shouldnt have a problem because you dont use the heat on your hair like your sister does.

I recently found out that one of my friends is purging or becoming bulimic. I'm pretty sure she is but i have no clue how she's doing it. I mean, i've heard different stories and i really want to talk to her about it, but i can't yet. My only question is, is there any kind of medicine/drug that she might be taking for her to do this??? I dont know much about this so i really need to know to help. I know that alot of people just say, "stick your finger down your throat", but i'm not sure if she's doing that. I know she's taken drugs before but i don't know if that can literally cause you to purge. She's had trouble with stuff before but i just recently found out about this. I need to know if what she's taking is causing this. If you have any idea or can tell me what the pills are, i'll appreciate it. I'm just really worried and kind of naive about all this. she might be taking laxatives in large quantities.. this wont make you throw up, but it does make you use the bathroom a lot, which has the same affect. also, she could be taking what is called charcoal pills... they absorb all of the food and chemicals in the stomach and then you throw it up all at once. not matter what she is doing to purge, its dangerous and she needs help. youre an awesome friend for caring. if you need more help, dont hesitate to ask!!!

What is fasting all about, and how's it done?
I know loads of girls at school that are talking about fasts all the time (not that I'm thinking of starving myself or anything for the sake of being thin, I'm just curious)
I heard my friend tell her cousin she was gonna do a 5 day fast and her cousin asked her how she lasted so long on a fast so I'm guessing it's got to do with not eating.
fasting is where you dont eat... at all. it is extremely unhealthy because your body doesnt get the nutrients that it needs.
yes, most fastings are religious, but they only fast while the sun is up... youre allowed to eat after sundown. but some people (especially girls) fast to loose a few pounds so they look better in that new shirt. but this is the WRONG way to go about things. a healthy diet and good exercise is the healthier choice

Just keep encouraging him, telling him that he is not a loser and stuff like that. Let him know how much he means to you. Then try to get this freak Chris away. Make sure he knows that you wont take any bullshit from him, and that he needs to shove off.
Oh, and just because your friend is an honor student, doesnt mean that he wont consider suicide, so keep a close on him, it sounds kind of serious!!
