I got this website from seventeen magazine:
http://www.advancedfocus.com/html/About%20Focus%20Groups.html
because it said it was a good way to earn some money. So, I signed up for it, but i'm not sure if I really want to participate in this. I'm just wondering if anyone knows if these focus groups are over the phone, online, or in person. Also, does anyone know how I could end my membership if I wanted to?
Thanks!
Focus groups are a good way to earn a little extra cash or even try new products before the general public. I've done it before in the past and have added up to 100 dollars per month to my income. In 2005 I got to try out a new chocolate frosted mini-wheat cereal that was so bad tasting I've yet to see it on the shelves! The few downsides include not being picked for a study and long drawn out questionnaires. Yes, some of them are via phone with call times lasting 15-30 minutes and sometimes it's online forums. I've never seen one done in person although I've had forums to fill out mailed to me.
To cancel call 212.217.2000 and ask for "the database department" or email database@advancedfocus.com. and ask for the database department.
I wanted to add too that since you found this link in a major publication, you can relax a bit about giving out information. Just never give out bank information or your social security number to anyone. The legit places will mail you a personal check.

In order to help you out, please try rewriting the question. Yes, your English is not very good. We understand your English isn't good but your question is very confusing! From what I've gathered, you are wanting to download software from a public PC? Is that correct?

I have 3 brothers and im the only girl. And about ten years ago i was molested by my oldest brother and we was taken away to juvy then a group home. But when i was about 12 about 5 years ago he came to live with us because we were moving from california to florida and my dad didnt want to leave his son there but i wanted to. My dad thought he learned a lesson but he never did because he still kept doing it and now at my house here for almost 4 years i've had to use two locks so he wont get in. he's almost 22 and still lives with us. I feel like my dad loves him more because he never yells at him but always at me. I feel like my parents dont love me at all. My secong older brother has a girlfriend and i feel like my parents like her more by the way they treat her and the way they treat me. I just don't know what to do and im 17 about to star my senior year. And i just think that if my parents loved me my oldest brother wouldnt be living with us so that i wouldnt have to lock my door until i move out because hes almost 22 and doesnt have a life no girlfriend or friends at all. I just need help on what to do! Thanks.
Call the police or better yet your local Child Protective Service. Your brother and your dad are both sick in the head and need therapy. You deserve better than that. I could sit here and justify your dad's actions but I wont. He needs to pull his head out of his ass. Your honesty can't seem to convince the very figure in your life that should protect you. Your dad is a pansy. Therefore it's time to introduce a third party. Honestly, I would take you in. I've got a spare bedroom. If I met your brother, I'd introduce him to Mr. Louisville Slugger. Sorry I'm angry. I'm not mad at you. This is NOT your fault you poor child.

hey there. i own a teal blue 1995 mustang. it's got white boss shinoda decals, with a 5.0 HO GT engine. stock it makes 215hp and 285 ft lbs tq. i bought it with a dynomax side exit exhaust system which supposedly brought in 5 more ft lbs tq, and 15 more horses.
my questions:
what can be done to increase the performance relatively cheap? i know 'cheap' and 'performance' don't go together, so ... help? lol
also what is camming? cams?
all in all i'm tired of everyone staring at my car, and when a ricer pulls up, its everything i can do to keep up with him.
Well, first off a car that can't breath, can't run. Upgrade the stock air filter with one from K&N. Next, consider headers along with the exhaust system on it. Also upgrade your ignition, such as what MSD offers. As budget permits you'll want to replace the stock intake and TB (throttle body). Check out Jegs.com for parts. As your budget grows with car, replace gears.
Camming, cammed or cammed out, means a car who has had it's stock cam replaced. If you change cams make sure the top and bottom half can take it.
Rip all the extra crap you don't need that weighs the car down, such as the spare tire, back seat and front passenger seat. There's tons of stuff you can do to go faster but it'll take me a year to write it all down!
I'll race ya!

I almost forgot to add, SAFETY FIRST! Can't have power without beefing up the brakes and suspension. That should be the first thing you do before adding power. Also depending on how much power, replace the seats, get a harness and roll cage.

Hi, I am 21 and I am 6 months pregnant with my second child, my first born she is turning one this month. The baby I am pregnant with now is a boy and he was un-planned. I have recently been having the feelings of sharp pains in my stomach some what like contractions, but they aren't consistent. I have not gone to the doctor because I am on vacation, but Im wondering if I should so see one or not.? Has anyone else had these? Also my baby bump is a lot smaller than with my last child, I dont look 6 months but more like 4. Why is this? Could there be something wrong with my baby? Also I wondered if stress could be putting a strain on my pregnancy because I just divorced both of my kids daddy in May, now we are going through a custody battle with the oldest, he knows Im pregnant but insists that it is not his because he thinks I cheated on him which I never did.....Could the stress of everything Im going through now be stressing my body out to go through early labor?Sorry Its long Im just a little concerned.
Lady, go see a friggen doctor! Your unborn child is more important that anything you've got going on in your life right now. Stress can release hormones that are probably not good for your son. Kick back relax and tell everyone else to shove off. If you were my girl you wouldn't be doing crapola right now but watching TV and eating bonbons. Me and my wife's second son wasn't planned either, well neither was our first but I love them the same and would die for them both. "I'm pregnant but insists that it is not his because he thinks I cheated on him which I never did." Let the looser sweat. Start thinking about that baby you've got inside of you.

What is thumbnail abuse?
Thumbnail abuse is where a person, say on a social website who is sharing a video of a particular subject. Instead of showing a thumbnail of the video they'll instead post a thumbnail of something unrelated. Say for instance, I post a video of my car making a 50 foot burn out, on the thumbnail I post a picture of an airplane. The two are unrelated. Therefore, I've tricked you into believing that the video you are about to watch is of an airplane and not my hot rod. That is thumbnail abuse.

I am 21, female, and in a committed relationship. I love my boyfriend... but everytime he tries to do something special it reminds me of my ex who was abusive in many ways. I keep on finding ways that he is like him. I don't want my fiancee to think I am crazy but I can't forget what I went through. What should I do if anything...??
Lost in Texas, Suz
Dear Lost in Texas. Before I start, I went through something similar, only I was on the end of it. No matter what nice thing I did, I always reminded her of an abusive ex. I wasn't her ex, nor did I look a thing like him. He did nice things for her too but he'd beat on her. Guys love doing nice things for the woman they love. At least here in Texas, you should know, you are from here too. Guys that do nice things and are abusive usually have some other motive to be nice, like a con-artist would. If that's your current boy friend, drop him.
You must realize that this guy is different. Your ex had good qualities and that's what attracted you to him. His bad just out weighed the good. Open up to him, tell him how your ex seemed nice but he was abusive. I am sure he'll understand. He'll probably even say, "Well I am nothing like that..." Matter of fact I'll bet you five dollars he will. Honestly, I think you owe it to yourself and this guy to speak up about your past.

uh yeah i spilled a bottle of red nail polish on my beige carpet... and i went to this site:
http://www.thriftyfun.com/tf205186.tip.html
and i tried EVERYTHING. i tried...
1.) nail polish remover
2.) windex
3.) shaving cream
and the nail polish remover is the only thing that got most of it out. the stain is still totally visible. i tried the windex alone and it did nothing...
now, if anyone has any other suggestions besides calling a carpet cleaner in order to get the stain COMPLETELY out without spending tons of money, let me know. but until then... i want to call a carpet cleaner (actually i'm 15f but my parents agreed to call one). naturally, i googled "carpet cleaners new jersey" and all these search results came up. but what about cleaning a SINGLE stain? would a carpet cleaner do that? or would they have to clean my entire carpet because the one spot would be whiter than the rest of my carpet?
feel free to make any further suggestions about the nail polish stain besides a carpet cleaner. i'm really embarrassed about it and i really wish i hadn't accidentally tipped it over. i know everyone makes mistakes but i'm supposed to have a friend over tomorrow and it's no big deal but it's a long stream about two and a half feet long and as much as four inches wide in some parts (the bottle kept rolling). i'm really upset so if anyone can make any further suggestions? the stain is like, three days old now
Well if you are good with a razor blade utility knife, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Stanley_knife_1.jpg
you can actually cut the bad piece out and then match it up to say, a piece of carpet in the closet that no one sees. Lay the cut piece over the good carpet and then cut out the patch. It works better if you cut a square and follow the natural flow of the fibers. Apply some glue to the back, put in place and press firmly. If you do it right, you'll never notice it. Ok, you'll know it's there but your guest wont.

My son is 16 months old. I've been tossing the idea around to start trying the whole potty training bit to see if he's ready.
Is that too young?
Any pointers and tips would also be appreciated.
I couldn't agree more with person43. My oldest is actually in this phase and after talking to "experts" they suggest taking it at his own pace. A sure fire way to determine if he is ready or not is when he/she starts to take the diaper off after it's been soiled. Usually when my son does that I immediately take him to the toilet. So far, he's gotten the idea on what to flush means and that toilet paper goes in afterwards. Just be sure to put the TP up high. My son has been known to throw a few rolls in the toilet and then flush, giving the plunger a run for it's money. I also take him in the bathroom with me, so he can see how a boy is supposed to go. Oh, almost forgot if you get your kid to go on the toilet, be sure to praise them A LOT. They love it.

I started babysitting a couple months ago on a regular basis and now I'm getting a lot of people asking me if i can babysit for them and what I charge. The thing is I don't have a set fee. the lady i babysit for now pays me about $20 if its a couple hours and if it's the whole time it's about $50 depending on what kids i have. b/c there are 4 kids. so the questions are...
what should I set my fee at?
am i being payed unfair with the lady i babysit for now?
thankz in advance

Well, setting a price may be more difficult than it sounds. I'll give you some information on what I did when I started a small business. First of all, congrats. Sounds like people have been putting your name out, so you must be good with kids. Second of all, the lady who you've been babysitting for, let her know straight up that you appreciate her giving your name out but don't discuss prices with prospects. If she tells them a price tell her to mention what others will be paying for. Your client shouldn't have a problem doing this, after all she is getting a discount. This will only work if you are charing more for other people and she does throw your name out. You know more about that situation than I do.
Second of all, charge by the hour. Why? Well, if you get some really nice kids to watch, you don't want to short yourself for charging so little because they were good. Next time the job may be twice as hard. Same thing with unruly kids. At the end of the night, you'll feel you've worked hard for the money.
Third. Cheaper isn't always better. If you are the cheapest, dirt cheap I mean, person in town, people will wonder about the quality. Be competitive. Call a few places and find out how much and how they charge. Base your price somewhere in the middle.

I've been drinking Silk soy milk, mainly because it's much healthier than cow's milk. I've been reading about the connection with deforestation in the rainforests and soy beans, but I can't find a list of which big name soy milk brands don't get their soy from the rainforest.
If you have any knowledge of which brands aren't harmful to the rainforest (and which are) please let me know.
Also, what other milk alternatives aren't connected with the rainforest? (Rice milk?)
Thanks so much
Really? Why grow soy in the rain forest when acres upon acres of soy is grown right here in the good ol' U.S. of A. My neighbors actually grew soy bean along with my other neighbors who also grew tobacco and corn. I think the information you read is either misleading or false. I'm all for the rain forest but I doubt the information. I'd like to see what source you got this information from.

This is continued from my question that you answered before about the light replacement.
http://www.advicenators.com/qview.php?q=543710
It's not like cracked or anything it's completely missing.
This is the website I found the part at...
http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/details/QQMazdaQQ626QQReplacementQQCornering_LightQQ20002002QQ3161517LAS.html
The main light part is there and then this part is gone.
Do you have any idea about how much it might cost to just have them attach it?
I'll answer your question tomorrow evening, when I get home from work. Thanks for asking!
Ok, for that whole assembly and for new, yes that's a good price, I just wasn't sure what you were talking about. You could probably get that fixed, if all they to do is just bolt it on, for around 100-150. If they have to bend any sheet metal or do extra work like run the wire connections to it, it will be extra. You might get it done cheaper if you take it to a mechanic's shop instead of an auto body shop. A body shop will fix it to look like new, a guy at a mechanic's shop, since he is not a body man, will put it on to get it to work.

I'm thinking about buying a 2000 Mazda 626. It seems like a pretty decent car for the price (compared to the other cars in that price range), but it's missing the drivers side cornering light.
I searched an auto parts website and the price of the cornering light itself was $31.50.
Is that really all I need to buy to fix it? Or are there other parts inside that I have to buy as well?
Also, if I had the light already, about how much would it cost to get a shop to repair it for me? I would only have to pay for labor, right?
First of, I assume you mean the "parking" light. Is the bulb out? You are female right? Well, take a guy with you, if not you might get charged more for a simple bulb change. 31.50 for it? Is the lens busted too? That price sounds really steep. I'd shop around. Of course I may have interpreted what you said here wrong. By all means speak up if I did. Generally speaking, if you bring the part with you and ask for them to put it on then all you are going to charged is the labor. If the shop tries and charges you for parts, tell them to kiss your rear and go find someone else, but still take a male friend along or even your dad. I know it's discriminative but it's a fact, females get charged more for repairs than men.

ok my ex bf that i still like a lot just toldme he loved me but the bad part is he is going out with one of my close friends what do i do?
Here's my two cents, take it or leave it. Your friend is sorry and so is, well hopefully in your mind, your ex. Loose the boyfriend and loose the friend too. They both are losers. Some other guy will be yours and yours only, may not happen over night but it will. Lord knows I been down your road a few times before. You are still young, you got your whole life ahead of you to be so focused on stupid people. Us older folks know better, that's how we got to be old.

my boyfriend and i had sex, and the condom broke.
im on birth control, but i want to take a pregnancy test just to be sure. im due to have my period in about 2 weeks....when do i take the test?
Take the test a week or so after a missed period. Oh wait I am a guy. How do I know then? Well, my wife whom I have two children with took her test a few weeks afterwards. She was on birth control but we still had a child. Don't fret birth control works for most but it still can happen.

..."my x bf just broke up with me for his neice..."
Did I read that right? If so you ex is a looser and not worth your time. Well, as they say it may be true, I don't know and I'm not willing to go there! "Incest is the best." He's not even worth the price of the metal for the blade to even cut yourself with. He should be the one cutting himself. Damn girl, he's a friggen looser. Someone needs to tell you that he's one sick bastard. Honestly, are you that miserable in your own skin that you think you have to have someone? Some relationships aren't worth your dignity. You should focus on what makes you happy rather than what you think someone can do to make you happy. Yeah, it will take awhile and it wont happen over night. You can't go around basing your self worth on how many boy friends you have. If you do you'll wind up in a rut, even when you are older and except bad behavior or even a physically abusive partner. You are worth so much more than that. Any man who'd hit a woman should have his you-know-what cut off. Lay off the dudes for awhile and focus on yourself.
