well i have asked a question on how i can be more outgoing cause its affecting my ability to be able to make friends. well i try to be interesting but no one seems to like me. like i see people in the halls at school saying "want to come over my house" or "Want to go bike riding" no one ever asks me that, is it because i'm boring? what can i do to make people want me as their friend? and how can i keep friend? i am really desperate for help. :( i have like one kind of best friend and she never even asks me to do stuff! she doesnt even invite me to her parties! and please dont say "why dont you ask THEM" (link)

I use to feel the same way about this. Like I always felt like I wasn't friends enough with my friends to hang out with them, but really you need to start with just talking about a movie and be like "oh yeah I want to see (insert movie), we should totally go see that this weekend" and then if they go "yeah!" then you or maybe someone else will be like "Awesome! And let's go to the mall!" and then someone else will go "the mall?!!?! I love the mall!"
I know it's hard to get started but you'll get there. And you can't like just expect people to be friends with you just because. Like you need to show how cool you really are to them.

So I am a 14 year old female. Me and him have been really close friends for like the school year. We used to be extremly close. I like him a lot and it was pretty obvious he liked me. Anyways everytime we were going to become more something came up. After awhile we gave up, and he asked another girl out. Then they went out for about 5 months and then they were on and off now they are off. And he kind of flirts with me a lot and I just need to know should I stay away from him because he did break my heart when he asked the other girl out. Should I run and never come back to him? I say go with Dj Sammy, listen to your heart. If you're scared that asking him will ruin your friendship or whatever, go with the safe route of asking his friends to ask him and then give you feedback on what he said. but it is definitely better for you and him to just date instead of like always wondering a what-if.

I just heard about this today from my friend this morning, apparently he died back in October 2005. He got like a stroke or something in 2002 and it lead up to his death. Poor guy. I loved his version of In the Navy and that spooky techno song he did. May he rest in peace.

Ok, so there's this british exchange program at my school and 16 British people came to my school and are being hosted by students at my highschool. One of my friends is hosting this kid, i'll call him Ryan. The thing is he's so cute and nice and i really want to get to know him but the only thing is that there are always tons of girls around him because they also think he si cute. I know my friends s/n and my question is, should i try to get to know Ryan? Oh ya and by the way, he is leaving on Friday to go back to ENgland but i would really like to get to know him well enough to ask him for his e-mail so we can talk back and forth after he leaves but idk if i want to get to like hima nd know that i can't go out with him because he is 3000 miles away in another country. Well, I definitely wouldn't suggets throwing your heart and soul out to him, but getting to know him wouldn't be so bad. You have two days, and I am pretty sure that's not enough time to fall in love, but you guys could become like close friends that like talk every night and help each other out and stuff. Those friends are really good to have because it's harder for you guys to get in an argument, even if you do, you won't see them, plus they can't tell any of your friends your secrets when you stop being friends.

the race for the cure in tyler tx is the same weekend as my banquet. were supposed to go b/c my mom and grandma both had it and my grandma lives in tyler. im not going b/c i have banquet and i have a date who i REALLY wanna go w/ but now i dont know how im gonna get there if my mom and sister arent gonna be here i dunno if my dad could take me and i feel guilty for not going cuz its mothers day weekend. is it ok for me not to go and go to my banquet instead? I know that you may find this banquet and date to be quite a big deal and all, but I don't think it'd be ok to go to the banquet instead. This seems like it would be kind of important to your mom and grandma for you to join them in the race for a cure. You're contributing to saving lives and you're making you're mom and grandma happy. Plus, you would totally feel guilty if you chose a date over family. And you could just go on another date some other time. Trust me that it'll all work out better if you race for a cure.

Okay...so I was on this site and it had like how too's! IT was sooooo weird...they said that you can use an iron (the one you use to iron clothes and smooth out) to straighten your hair. They say u can't use it often (i wouldn't try it) but does it work? (link)

Yeah man, it totally works, if you need something to show you how to do it, go to your local blockbuster or whoever has a better selections of movies and watch Cherish. It's a pretty sweet movie, but it has a part in it where she straightens her hair with a clothes iron.

Okay so I'm trying out for a singing group at our school called "Chamber Singers" If you dont know what that is its like a choir...but tryouts are next friday and i have no idea what song to sing...i want to do one that really showcases my voice...but i dont know the best way to go about figuring out which one does...Like I thought about recording on a karaoke machine but you know how bad the quality of that is...and then i figured i could ask my parents but i'm not sure they'll be completely honest...what do yall think? Sing one of the upbeat songs from Grease, because as popular a it is, it isn't used that much at auditions. And even if you mess up, it incorporates with the song, so no one will notice. Hope this helps. :-)

Popular kids aren't mean, they just don't have time to deal with lower people like yourself. And the reason to be friends with someone who is mean is so that you can be popular or use them to your advantage or you yourself are mean.

Ok well I am a casual smoker. I used to smoke about once every six months (I limited myself). I'm not too worried about getting cancer because my mum is a chain smoker and she smoked is my washroom so I'm more likely to die of second-hand smoke. I don't care though. I'm not afraid of death.
So I've liked this guy for a few years and his sister died of cancer so I figured he hates people who smoke so that was why I never told anyone that I smoked.
For the past two weeks I have been smoking my ass off (and drinking a lot of coffee) because of all these exams, fights with my parents, stress at work et cetera. In terms of what this guy would think, I was pretty much like... whatever.
Anyway, day before yesterday he was walking in front of me and drinking coffee (which struck me as weird because he doesn't seem like the kind of guy to drink coffee) and while he was passing, this guy was like "Hey man, you gotta stop smoking over there. I know it was you!". I also thought that was weird but I figured he was just talking about weed or something.
Yesterday, we were talking about my smoking habit and my friend was like "You know who else is a closet smoker?" She said his name and told me that he smoked in his car so no one would know.
So I have a few questions (no lectures on how smoking is bad for you and how disgusting it is, thanks. I already know that I'm twice as likely to die and am injuring myself everytime I take a drag):
1. I know that non-smokers don't like to date smokers but do smokers prefer not to date smokers?
2. Do you think I should let him be aware that I smoke too?
3. Do you believe in people sending brain messages to each other? Because I JUST started smoking and drinking coffee two weeks ago and it seems like he just started recently too. Do you think maybe He/I influenced each other unconciously to start smoking and drinking coffee?
4. Do smoking and drinking coffee go together? Is it something that is totally related and that if you're a smoker, it's assumed that you're a coffee drinker.

4. Yes, it all started with the Irish. They used to always drink coffee and beer. Then they started to drink beer and smoke at the same time. Which lead to the drinking coffee and smoking connection. Vwa la.

Well, if you want to put forth the effort, become a baptist. But if you are like the rest of us, here are some other ways. Listen to some happy druggyish type music like Polyphonic Spree, Electric Light Orchestra, and The Flaming Lips. If music isn't your thing, try to think of the thing that most interests you and get friends to do that with you. If you don't have friends, getting friends in general would make you less pessimistic. Get friends by listening to people and what they say, and if they something that you feel you can add some information to, then do it, but don't be too forceful or pervy, because most people will get weirded out by that.

I need more than one sentence answers. If you give detailed advice on this and reasons why you chose the groups/musicians you will get a 5 out of me. I am generous but expect when I ask advice, as I give detailed ones to you usually as GDROB to get the same back.
I am producing a new radio show with movie reviews, games, trivia, etc. for teens we have chat and forums too, special guests. My biggest problem is choosing music for in between the segments. I wanted some suggestions on acts or solo performers you guys are into. I am trying to develop a playlist really and need guidance.
Also, please understand the music has to be good but squeaky clean. The rules state I cannot have swearing, violence against women, right-winged ideas etc. on the show or I am in trouble. If there are poets, spoken word or actual artists among you send me a note.
BTW, this is not to provoke the ire of the admin. I am not advertising but merely seeking guidance from teens here who know this stuff. (link)

Bjork-She is amazing, her music is always different and awesome. Every album she releases has something new and fresh to offer. Some great songs of hers that I guess you can listen to so you know what she sounds like are "I Miss You", "There's More to Life Than This", "Triumph of the Heart", and "Frosti".
Pixies-Well, they aren't my favorite, but they definetly have some great songs here and there. My favorite song from them is "Vamos". The guitar rifts and just everything of that song blows my mind away everytime I hear it.
The Aquabats- It's a Superhero Band. Close to enough said, but I'll explain more. These guys are crazy and awesome, not so much with their latest album, but they have created these wacky songs that makes you wonder if Aquabanian is really on our planet. Some of their greatest songs, hands down, "Lobster Bucket," "Super Rad", "Tiger Rider vs. The Time Sprinkler!", "Radiation Song", and of course "Pool Party".
