The best way to learn about a Claddagh Ring is to really get into the writings on the internet. There is one or two common meanings that have followed the tradition through, but by now the purpose has become pretty much whatever you would like it to be. I know a couple of my female friends have Claddagh Rings from their father. One friend was told that it meant she (the daughter) belonged to the father until such time as she fell in love and started up a family. While another friend of mine went by the same guidelines, only a promise of virginity until marriage was also agreed upon. Traditions alter vastly over the years, but the special bond behind the ring will always remain.

I use TheGimp for this. You can download the program's limited version absolutely free at: http://www.gimp.org/ Now, the installation process could perhaps confuse you, as there are two sections you must download from. Just be prepared to follow instructions, and you should do fine. It took me a while to figure out the installation process myself, so if you should run into trouble, feel free to AIM me for some extra help. :)

So last night i went to sephora, thinking that theirs would be much nicer. They told me that it wouldnt run or smear, and that it would last all day. Guess what. It didn't. Honestly, it was no better than the stuff from target :(. Haha, i looked in the mirror and to my surprise, it was smeared all below my eye. It was great, really. But anyways, what brands of eyeliner are good and DONT smudge. I almost got a NARS one. Is that any good? Thanks.

Meryl Norman, which to my knowledge can only be purchased at The Meryl Norman Cosmetic Studios (often found in malls), is pricey. It typically runs about $8.50 - $15.00, but it really is good stuff. It glides on with ease, and it stays on all day. And if that price is a little bit more than what you're looking to spend, I suggest Beautique - which is actually my perfernece. Thing is, I've only seen Beautique at Sally's. I guess the good news is that it's only .99 cents. And trust me, I wouldn't buy crap make up, so do not let this dollar price throw you off. You'd be cheating yourself out of something really special. Beautique is easily applied, and you will have many hours of perfect wear - all free of smudging. I probably could not promote this item enough; as I am very satisfied with it's results. And if you still have doubts... for only .99 cents.. it's worth a shot. :)
