contradictionn answered Wednesday December 27 2006, 2:55 pm: when you'd rather hang out with yourself, all alone than be around a bunch of people
Feeling you're just not a part of anything or any groups
the facial expressions are just gone
you physically just want to lay around all day, getting up and getting hair/makeup on just seems pointless, no one's going to look anyway, right?
Sabine answered Wednesday December 27 2006, 10:35 am: Tina_DUH answered very well, but one thing I wanted to add is that you should make sure that, if you are able, you are getting plenty of rest, nutrition, and especially exercise. If you're not exercising now, it's a good thing to bring up with a doctor. But most people can get out at least for a walk a couple of times a day. That could significantly impact your mood. Also, chocolate has been shown to help in the short run.

- eating a lot, too little or not at all.
- rarely sleep, or sleep all the time.
- thoughts/attempts of suicide
- worrying a lot.
- lose interest in things you love/enjoy.
- sad a lot, or always crying.
- hopelessness.
- poor communication, isolation.
- low self esteem, or none at all.
- temper is easy to trigger
- frequent absences from school/poor effort at school [this is if you're a teen]
- poor concentration
- threats/efforts to run away
- alcohol/drug abuse
- self injury
- low energy/consistent boredom
- complaints of feeling "sick."
- increased amounts of stress
If you have more than 5 of those symptoms, you probably suffer drom depression. And I would contact a doctor to get anti-depressants. I'd also talk to a friend, or a counselor to get help. :] Talking eases everything.
