Ask the person in the salon. You'll always get a variety of responses.. Of 6 weeks to 10 weeks... Or about 2 months.
personally, my perm lasted nearly 8 months. but then again my hair is naturally wavy and it was a bit damaged to begin with, so the perm sort of stuck to it. my friend had hers for almost 3 months. so i guess when your hair becomes "flat", then you can wait a couple of more weeks and get another one.
or you can go into a salon and see what condition your hair is in. Sometimes it's too damaged for another perm so you'll have to stock up on deep conditioning and hot oil treatments.

everytime i tell my friends who i'm into, they always make it akward for me. they let on hints to the person so hard, and pretty much confess my love to them. its happened before, and will probably happen again. they dont know who im into right now, but they're getting pretty close to figuring it out. they keep bothering me about it. and to make it even better, its the kid my friend kinda likes (but could never have a chance with.) but i'm pretty sure i have a better chance than her. should i just keep this to myself? or do you think they could somehow help?
Keep it to yourself. You handle your own love life. Putting it in the hands of somebody else, usually screws things up. Don't tell your friends at all because I doubt they will give you actual help, considering your other friend likes the same person too.
Most likely, your friend will get mad at you and refuse to help. So it's best to keep these things to yourself unless you are very close with your friends.. to the point where you can trust them to keep their mouth shut. Which hasn't happened.
Don't try telling one friend because that one might tell the other. If the person you like is showing no interest with your friend, then go for it. If your friend is making no moves, then you can go after the guy.

My first time didn't hurt at all. my boyfriend and I were planning to have sex in a couple of months.. and i heard so many horrible stories [i guess that's because they weren't ready] So for weeks we prepared myself for it... with fingering. So it didn't hurt at all. I was extremely surprised since I heard all these "it feels like he's splitting you into pieces" thing... It does feel a bit strange though since I've never had something that large inside of me. He was really gentle and slow to make sure I wouldn't feel any discomfort. The worst thing you can do is keep this going or ignore him. He may have gotten hurt in the past, but if you two aren't that close..It would seem a bit strange for his heart to be broken. He may get hurt and disappointed, but it was sort of messed up for him to tell you about his past rejections. It sounds like he wants you to feel sorry for him and not to hurt him. Or either that he trusts you and thinks you'll say yes. =\ The nicest way you can put it, is that you don't want a relationship right now. If he understands that enough, he won't ask questions. You can always say 'I don't really know you that well to go out with you. I just want to focus on my work and hang out with friends. I don't want to be attached sort of thing.' or 'I think it would be better if we are just friends' Even if you do want a relationship, when the time comes you could say you changed your mind. It's really hard to reject a person who is like that. I had that happen when i was already with someone. You just have to let him down as nicely as you can. Either online or in person. Tell him he's sweet BUT, you don't like him that way. If it's in person, make sure you two are away from people. You don't want him to get hurt/embarrassed if someone else is there. That's the nicest way to put it. Make sure you are both on good terms, so he's not extremely disappointed. You can be friends but nothing more.
Don't feel guilty or anything about your decision. Some girls fall for that and end up saying yes when they aren't interested in the guy. If you are nice about it, there shouldn't be a problem. Just don't get close to the guy again because he may get hope.

If you want to do it, go for it. I've shaved my arms before, also Nair'ed it. You do get stubble though, but it's really not that noticeable unless you are thinking about it and constantly staring at it, you know? you can take a razor to it and it's not much of a problem.
The hair does not grow back thicker. I've done it so many times and there's no difference. I have really dark hair to begin with so i've been shaving, plucking and waxing for years. now my arms are no problem to me. it's not coarse or thick.
you might think it will come back thicker and darker IF you have never shaved or anything before. i thought the hair on upperlip was sooo dark before i started shaving.. but after a few times, it's not big deal and less noticeable. it just seems to appear darker before you shave/wax.
maybe it's just me. but i could have sworn that my arm hairs were a lot darker before! o_o

One of my teachers told us that we should be saving our work from every year. Do you think we should? Why? & For what grades? Like, does middle school work even matter? Thanks :)
You should save recent work that's already been graded until grades come out. In a way, it's wise to do. Since if you get a progress report or ask for one, you may see mistakes with worksheets or grades. You will have the work to prove that you did it or got another score on it. If you don't, you will have bad grades and have no way of proving otherwise.
Some teachers are stubborn about it and claim that they did not misplace or lose work. [my teacher did this to me. she even said that she misplaces work & then she did this.. when i remember turning it in with my friend]
It does happen, they just don't want to appear unprofessional. Some are nice though and realize they are human. But the majority do not like to be corrected so keep some work.
You should always keep important things like essays, projects, and tests. Put it in a tiny box. Always make a copy of essays or don't delete it off your computer until the semester is over.
In high school, you should save certain things that YOU think may become helpful. Let's say, for biology.. you have a whole year of work in a huge notebook. It may become useful for you in your next science class as a review. I don't think middle school work would matter unless you need it to remember certain things.

Ask for general anesthesia, if they aren't already putting you on that.
I had all 4 out. It doesn't hurt because you'll be "sleeping". I fell asleep instantly and woke up wondering where I was. It's best if you get all of them done at the same appointment. Some people do 2 and go back for the others, but you should just go through the experience once. I felt no pain. You get medication given to you.. [vicodin] that numbs the pain.
So when you get home and you stop bleeding... eat as much HARD food as you can because you won't be able to eat that the day after. You'll be so swollen in the cheeks and it would be hard to eat and it would hurt trying to open your mouth wide. So stock up on soups and soft foods.. Get straws for drinks.. because you may spill.
The thing is, it doesn't matter how much it would hurt for on the top or bottom. It depends on the type, like impacted teeth. But anesthesia + vicodin, you won't suffer through the pain.
It shouldn't hurt though if you have medicine. You take one every ___ hour. Whatever it says on the bottle. But you'll know when to take it. Your gums will throb :P
I don't know if your wisdom teeth grew in or not, well mine didn't. So maybe there's a difference in the pain scale.

A really sweet guy asked me out the other day. The thing is I was at a party with him (this is when we met) and he drank pure volka. I really hate drinking and I think it's a turnoff, but the thing is he apologized to the girl who threw the party and it sounded like he really meant it. You drink at parties. That's what you do. Maybe he does drink or it's just whenever he can get his hands onto it [like at parties] If he's a nice guy and you like him, then you should go out with him.
You can't really talk to him about drinking because you aren't dating yet and unless it causes problems within your relationship, it's time to speak up. Like if he would rather drink than hang out with you or he comes over drunk, that's just a problem. I drink too, rarely. Whenever an event comes up like New Years. Maybe he's the same way but I say get to know him more.
If he apologized, then he's probably not a regular drinker. Maybe he did it because the drink was simply put out and everyone else was doing it. Maybe he felt pressured or maybe he wanted to try it. Something along those lines. But if it really effects you that much, then don't go out with him. At least one person in a relationship is either smoking or drinking or did at one point. Maybe not enough to call a bad habit, but once you get closer.. it's easy to talk to him about those habits you don't like. You can't change a person, but simply.. tone their habits down in time if they really care about you, they would try. But right now, it's just all teenage drinking drama and it's normal unless they drink everyday.

Yes highlights are easy to do but if you are worried, get an adult to do it or go to a salon.
But you should do trial and error and see how it goes.. so you could do it yourself next time instead of paying a lot for it to get done at a salon.

I used that for my first time of highlights. It looked pretty nice. I put chunkier pieces in it though, a really great contrast. If you want your eyes to stand out, put it on the hair framing your face.
make sure you follow the directions for the time.. or possibly leave it on longer. because some people with brown hair end up with orange streaks. you may even have to wash your hair a couple of times for it to lighten

How do you graduate a year early?
Well I'm going to an alternative school. It has a bad reputation you can say. You go there if you get expelled, either pregnant or lacking in credits. Most people don't realize you can go there to earn credits faster. You do your work at your pace.. slow or either fast. You go to school once a week and take work home. You can go back to school another day in the week and take tests whenever you want. So you make up and/or earn your credits faster than you normally would at regular school . I'm graduating next year as a junior. They have many classes for you to choose such as various Maths, Sciences, Electives like art and Drivers Ed, and preparing for exit exams.. There's also other programs such as junior college which you could also take along with going to an alt. school. Once you receive all your credits, you either graduate along with your regular school or sometime in the summer, depending on the program you chose. just talk to your school about these and see what they can offer you.

Theres a dance coming up friday, and I as a dare asked Adam. I've liked Adam now for a couple months and everyone said we'd be cute together.. and that I should. I did, making sure he knew it was a dare, but I did really wanna go with him and he said yeahh. I was wickedd happy, and he went and ruined it. With a bunch of his friends he called me a bus. The SAME day! I was wickedd sad for the rest of the day, and like two days after like on brink of crying.. which I did. He said he was sorry like 20 times, which he always does! It's your decision.. everyone has different opinions. Some will say a month, half a year or even a year. But it's best to wait for a while at least. Whenever you feel ready and or whenever you feel like you trust him. You don't want to jump into something and not know the guy well enough, and have him tell all his friends he had sex with you sorta thing.
If you give into sex easy [even if you want it] then there's a chance your guy will leave you and try to get with someone else. It's always a possibility. I can't say much because it's your boyfriend and I don't know him.

OK, my question is simple. is that song "crank dat soujla boy" really as dirty as the lyrics make it sound. especially with the superman thing. some people say everything is a dance move, yet at the same time they can all be taken as sexual. if it is, then i can't believe someone would actually write a song as trashy as that.

yes, i do believe it is a trashy song. I'm not really interested in rap since it's either about of these: guns/fights, drugs, sex & "hoes". there's few songs that contain great lyrics but this is just another catchy song that's liked by people who even hate rap.
But there's many other songs that are far worse, that come out and say what they want. that's so trashy. In this song, it's almost being 'nice' about it. Like censoring it.

If you are doing it at home, make sure you buy a shade lighter than what you are going for. It's almost like when you buy a box with dark brown and it comes out as black. If you are going to a salon, they will pick out the best shade for you.
You can try dyeing your hair. It usually looks well because it will bring out your blue eyes.
If you don't like it, you can buy a color stripper called "color opps" it will strip out the dye. it works pretty well and it's not damaging, just has this nasty smell.

hey people..
i need help with my makeup applying, when i put on my makeup i put on black eyeliner, then eyeshadow and mascara on the top and bottom lashes,and then concealer below the eyes where the bags are, but the problem is
1) when I get home from school its all smudged below my eyes and it looks completly horrible.
2) with all the concealer im always worried ill completly ruin my skin complection and that i look like a barbie doll
3) i dont want to look all fierce and stuff, i wanna look natural, but with makeup.
Do you have any ideas on how I can get my makeup not to smudge, and a way of applying makeup with still looking natural (step by step instrustions plz), but so it looks like im wearing makeup. (PS im blonde so nothing to fierce)

I was always told to apply eyeshadow before putting on eyeliner. Sadly, I haven't came across an eyeliner that doesn't smudge! I'm not made of money so.. I haven't experienced the expensive side of makeup :/ So I either put on a base like concealer or foundation on my eyelid to hold the eyeshadow and then put on eyeliner. Usually it holds, some times it goes against you.
But instead of black eyeliner you can try a dark brown. It wouldn't be a noticeable smudge. What I use now, is black eyeshadow.. A makeup artist said it lasts longer, especially if you get the shadow a bit wet and apply.
Throughout the day, I always rub under my bottom eyelid to clean up the smudged parts.
If you blend well with your concealer then it shouldn't be a problem unless it's far off your skin tone.. which most likely it isn't. If you are that worried you can try foundation or a powder.. Supposedly it holds foundation & concealer on longer. You won't look like a barbie doll unless you wear tons of liquid foundation and your face looks all shiny =plastic!
blondes can pull of fierce looks, just be confident with it! maybe you'll even like it.

okay well today was me and my man's 1 month anniverseryy. :D and we havent kissed and we havent said i love you yet. we went out 1 time before and he had told me that he likes to say i love you first cause he was just like that and doesnt want to say it if he doesnt mean it. and now that we have been going outt for 1 month and he still hasent said anything yett, should i talk to him. or whatt? i started saying XO! and stuff when he gets home and texts me i say okayyy. Just give it some time and drop some hints that you want him to kiss you. Maybe you could get close to his face, make him think you're going to kiss him.. watch his move.. if he leans in, go for it.. if he stays then either back away or kiss his cheek!
1 month is too early to say i love you. it's so meaningless in the first month. my boyfriend was the same. i told him to stop because no one can fall in love so quickly like that. you should say it only if you mean it & it's almost a year into the relationship.

I'm sure they would have said something to Jay or Tyra about it before it got onto the air, so they could have rescheduled. Most women are on birth control and are prepared for it. Since models always work under bad conditions like through sickness, they will probably tell them to wear a tampon and get the photoshoot over with.

I get really bad period pain and I am sexually active. My mum has been wanting me to go on the pill for a while now. I use condoms but she said that with the pill my cramps won't be as bad. She also told me this morning that if I take the pill I don't have to get my period. And I can choose to get it normally or like only every two months or something. Like you take 20-something normal pills then like 7 other ones or something. Is this correct? I've never known about this, can someone explain it to me please?
Well yeah, the pill really helps with cramps and seems to shorten the days you have it. I don't have bad cramps anymore and my period lasts at least 4 days.
You take a pill every day for 3 weeks. The fourth week is full of placebo pills, it's the week you're supposed to get your period once you get regulated on the pill.
you can talk to your doctor about it. since there's a few variations of the pill. [21-day pack or a 28-day pack]
21 day pack, you stop taking birth control pills for 7 days
28 day pack, you will take a placebo pill for 7 days [more of a helpful reminder to get in the habit of remembering to take it even when your period comes]
supposedly, if you get another pill packet before your 4th week in.. you can "skip" that month's period.
people say it takes a week to work. but to me, i'll wait at least a month because you may spot in between. i wanted to be on the pill for a least 4 months before having sex, just to get familiar with it.
