personally, my perm lasted nearly 8 months. but then again my hair is naturally wavy and it was a bit damaged to begin with, so the perm sort of stuck to it. my friend had hers for almost 3 months. so i guess when your hair becomes "flat", then you can wait a couple of more weeks and get another one.
or you can go into a salon and see what condition your hair is in. Sometimes it's too damaged for another perm so you'll have to stock up on deep conditioning and hot oil treatments. [ queenhearts's advice column | Ask queenhearts A Question ]

missbananafontana answered Thursday November 8 2007, 4:38 pm: If your hair is starting to get flat, by all means, go get another one, if you want. Usually perms tend to go flat within 2 to 3 months of one. However, if you're hair is flat before that, don't get it done again; it will damage the hair. Same thing goes for having it done too often. Ask your hair care professional for more info on perms, since I'm not an expert. [ missbananafontana's advice column | Ask missbananafontana A Question ]
