The hair does not grow back thicker. I've done it so many times and there's no difference. I have really dark hair to begin with so i've been shaving, plucking and waxing for years. now my arms are no problem to me. it's not coarse or thick.
you might think it will come back thicker and darker IF you have never shaved or anything before. i thought the hair on upperlip was sooo dark before i started shaving.. but after a few times, it's not big deal and less noticeable. it just seems to appear darker before you shave/wax.
maybe it's just me. but i could have sworn that my arm hairs were a lot darker before! o_o [ queenhearts's advice column | Ask queenhearts A Question ]
LagunaBabe answered Sunday November 4 2007, 1:48 am: Two words: Bad idea. And I have a better one, and it's the best I've come up with for this problem, or should I say Sally Hansen has come up with? Anyhoo, it's called "Spray on, Shower Off" by Sally Hansen. It really works, I use it -- there isn't anything better than this, it's a miracle worker. I promise, it isn't a waste of money.
raebabyyyy answered Saturday November 3 2007, 9:56 pm: honestly, it's not really a good idea. i mean, the wax will strip the hair right but you'll get stubble on your arms and that's worse than hair itself! i think you should try bleaching it. it makes the hair less noticeable and you won't have stubs. c: [ raebabyyyy's advice column | Ask raebabyyyy A Question ]
honest2t answered Saturday November 3 2007, 9:33 pm: OK WAIT ARE YOU PRONE TO BE HAIRY? IS YOUR HAIR DARK? DO YOUR HAVE THICK CURLY HAIR? IF YOU ANSWERED YES TO AT LEAST TWO OF THESE QUESTIONS DO NOT PROCEED, unless you want to get a refund or proceed and eventually look like a warewolf(spellcheck)
can you afford laser hair removal? no, then try bleaching it worked almost just as good for me, let me know how it worked for you!
DepthofHeart answered Saturday November 3 2007, 9:20 pm: You could, but I wouldn't. The hair will grow back thicker and coarser then before. You'll never be able to stop waxing...
superstarblue89 answered Saturday November 3 2007, 9:08 pm: if you want to wax your arms go for it...make sure you do a small test patch first...and just remember that once you do this you have to keep doing it...the hair will grow back much coarser. thelaura answered Saturday November 3 2007, 8:59 pm: If that's what you want, then yes.
Test a patch first.
P.S, the hair doesn't grow back thicker and courser. I did it once to prove waxing didn't hurt much years ago. :) [ thelaura's advice column | Ask thelaura A Question ]
