ok, so, I'm in the 8th grade and I live in, and I'm about to go to highschool, but I dont know which one to go to. 2 highschools, brooklyn tech in brookyn and townsend harris in queens, have offered me a seat, and they're both good. but townsend is like REALLY good and it's hard to get into, but I heard there's a LOT of hw, like 4 hours worth of it every day, and going to townsend is like completely giving up your social life, and everyone's telling me to go there. I want to go there cuz it's close to me, and it's really intelligent, but I wont know anyone there. people that used to go to townsend said that college seemed easy compared to the highschool, and that they benefited a lot from the school. most of the kids I know are going to brooklyn tech. the school's definately not as good as townsend but it's still good because it's one of the six specialized highschools in nyc, but I'm really interested in it because some of my best friends are going there, and becuz I kno there will be tons of hot guys.

In my opinion, you should definitely go to Townshend Harris in Queens, since everyone wants you to go there and since you want to go there also. You can still have a social life when you go to this school; just do your homework once you get home and you can then call your friends and go somewhere. If this school is closer and better than Brooklyn Tech, then you should go to Townshend. You can always have fun but getting a chance of going to a good school is like very slim. You should go to Townshend. Just make a list of the pros and cons of each and decide which school you want to go to. Hope I helped :)

It's definitely not bad at all to have a crush on someone who is older than you. It's not your fault that you like him. Make sure this guy likes you too and that you trust him. Since he is older than you, he's probably been through a lot so you don't know what to expect in a relationship with him. If you love him and if he loves you, go for it and ask him out. It's not wrong to start a relationship with him in a few years. Just make sure you know what you are doing and that you love this guy. Hope I helped :)

I have really curly hair that I used to chemically straighten a few years back, before it damaged my hair. It's now grown out curly again, but I can't wear it that way because it won't lay in defined curls and it always frizzes in the back. I straighten it with a ceramic iron that I bought through my hairstylist, and I love how it looks when it's straight!
What I wanted to ask was, what hairstyles can I try? I usually either wear it down, or some up and some down, or in a ponytail. Are there any other cute styles I could try? Btw, I don't have bangs, if that gives you any other ideas.
When your hair is straightened, you can clip your bangs or the front part of your hair up with a clip. This style is in where I live. You can also do that and have your hair scrunched. You can put your hair up in a messy bun or just put it half up and straighten or scrunch your hair. There are so many other styles, just play around with your hair and you'll find a few. I have to sell these gold cards for a fund raiser at my school for us to go on a trip in may... and I sold 4 today but I still have to sell 6 more in order for my whole trip to be payed for and these things are kind of hard to sell b.c. they are $10 each..but they have 142 discounts in a 90 mile radius that u can use as many times up until 10.31.05... any ideas as to where i can go to sell them?
Hey, we had to do this at our school also! I love those cards! Anyways, you can give a few to your parents and they can then bring them to work and try to sell them there. You can also go to a public place like to a grocery store and sell them. Any place where there are a lot of people, that is where you should sell these cards. When you are selling these cards, tell people about the discounts that they will receive from fast food places to resturants. Just try to convince them and they will buy them. Hope I helped :)

My friend Alex (male) was dating this girl who was a year younger than him. She was a freshman, and he was a sophmore. He finally got sick of her and he broke up with her. No one liked her at all, she was a slut, the ugliest girl he has ever dated, and a bitch. She played a joke on him and told him that she was pregnant. She wasn't even planning on telling him until a month later that it was just a joke. So, he did the dumbest thing he's ever done: he got back with her. Every single one of his friends freaked out on him! And he had this in his info: to everyone againsts my decisions , i cant make everyone happy and i wont , i gotta go with my heart , and i wont ignore it anymore. He told me after he had broken up with that girl that he had found this amazing girl and he said that she was perfect in every way except for the fact that she lived an hour away. Lord only knows what happened to her. He knows I can find him a decent girlfriend! This girl is no good at all. She's always hitting on his best friend who happens to be my boyfriend. What can I do to convince him that he's making the wrong choice? He's going to ruine his life with this girl! Please help! I don't go to the same school as my boyfriend Alex and his bitch and a half girlfriend. But they all do.
Has Alex found out this his girlfriend isn't pregnant at all and that it was a joke? If he hasn't, then you should talk to him and tell him. Tell Alex that his girlfriend is always hitting on your boyfriend, his best friend, and that he can prove that to him by telling him. You can't make him dump his girlfriend, since it's his choice of going out with her but you can still talk to him and tell him about all these "secrets" of what his girlfriend has. Ask him about what happened to this girl that lives an hour away. Maybe he can start talking to her again? Just talk to Alex and tell him everything. Hope I helped :)

Alright, first you need to talk to your best friend and tell her that you were only in your room to get clothes and you didn't know that he was going to kiss you. If she is your best friend, she should believe you and understand. Your best friend is probably going to dump her boyfriend, your ex-boyfriend, because of him "cheating" on her by kissing you, so you should just wait. If you like your ex-boyfriend and he likes you, then yes, you should go out with him but not until your friend says it's alright too because she may have feelings for him. Hope I helped :)

what are the major symptoms, and is there any physical appearance with a yeist infection?
You know if you have a yeast infection when the area near your vagina is itchy or has a burning sensation, your discharge is clumpy and discolored, and when it hurts to put a tampon inside of you or when you have sex. Ok, my head hurts really bad. Its not a headache ( I know when I have a headache) and Its kind of a weird feeling, like my head is a melon and everytime I lay down or bend over, my head feels like its goign to fall off. My nose is all stuffy and I have no idea if I am getting sick or what. What do you think this is, the flu? What should I take (over the counter) to help me get better? Thanks
Your sinuses are probably infected and that causes your head to hurt when you bend over. Yes, you are getting sick, probably just a cold, but you're aren't getting the flu, only if it is going around you can. Try taking DayQuil or NyQuil or any nasal congestion pills. You need to rest because resting helps you get better, especially sleeping. Taking a hot shower will clear up your nose. Hope I helped :)

If you truely love this guy, then yes, marry him. If he's your best friend and you two have been together for over a year, then it could work out. I know that other people would probably say no, and not to marry this guy but if you think that this would work out, then it can. It's impossible to lose 10 pounds in 3 or 4 days because it takes about a week or two for some people to only lose about 5 pounds. If you meant that you are leaving in 3 or 4 weeks, than you can lose 10 pounds. Start eating healthier and exercise daily. Do crunches, sit ups, squats, and lunges to look "less" in your bathing suit. Running and jogging will help too. Hope I helped :)

Why don't you call up your other friends and ask them if they want to hang out? If you hardly hear from them, then it's time that you call them or talk to them. Hi,
I'm 5"7, aged fourteen and weigh ten stone (which is 140 pounds I think). I know this isn't majorly overweight or anything, but I feel fat and would like, if possible, to gradually get down to nine stone (126 pounds). I wouldn't mind if this took, say a few months.
I exercise regulary but find it hard to stop snacking between meals. Has anyone got any tips into how to stop this?
Or any other gradual-dieting tips.

If you want to lose weight, you need to stop snacking in between meals, since this won't make you lose weight. If you eat three big meals for a day, start eating five small meals, since this will make your metabolism speed up. Start eating healthier like fruits and vegetables. Stay away from sodas and junk foods. Running or jogging on a treadmill will help too. If you want to stop snacking, put an elastic on your wrist and when ever you get a craving to eat something that is a snack, snap it. You will get used to this and eventually, you won't snake in between meals. Hope I helped :)

As long as you had your period after you have had sex, you aren't pregnant. If you haven't and you missed your period, there is probably a possibilty you are pregnant, since you breasts are starting to hurt and that you feel that you are gaining weight. If you don't want to chase after him, then you should just move on. If he said that he still likes you, then he probably does.
